Indian Red

------------------
"Life is like a box of crayons. Most people are the 8-color boxes, but what you're really looking for are the 64-color boxes with the sharpeners on the back. I fancy myself to be a 64-color box, though I've got a few missing. It's okay though, because I've got some more vibrant colors like periwinkle at my disposal. I have a bit of a problem though in that I can only meet the 8-color boxes. Does anyone else have that problem? I mean there are so many different colors of life, of feeling, of articulation...so when I meet someone who's an 8-color type...I'm like, 'hey girl, magenta!' and she's like, 'oh, you mean purple!' and she goes off on her purple thing, and I'm like, 'no - I want magenta!'"

Randall, my research indicates Indian Red was renamed in 1999 to Chestnut... so you may have to find this classic on EBAY or somewhere.

Yep, because people thought it was racist about Native Americans, but it was just a red pigment from India.

My Mom buys me a new 64 box every Christmas.

My favorite are the retro ones, with all kinds of Hippy names for colors.

I don't share my crayons though. They are perfect.
I buy the kids their own.

Indian Red suits you, Randall.

Just thought of something..if you're really happy and someone asks "How are you today?" I'll reply with "I'm magenta today!" The word sounds happy to me

I like the colour thing. There're now 133 coulours according to wikipedia http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Crayola_crayon_colors. There are some great colour names to use as a new username, maybe I'll choose one.

Scorpio, I'm not ignoring you, I'm still thinking for a good username for you.

Are we gonna get in trouble for talking about crayons and usernames in Randall's thread????

Those are the best ones. The real artistic ones aren't as meaningful.
