The problem is I am really bad with emails. Meaning if I don't respond right away, and often I can't, my inbox gets flooded with stuff or I get sidetracked and I forget.

No. yesterday and the day before I worked for 36 hours and only got 4 hours of sleep.. Now I'm up for a 24h shift again and most likely will stay for another 10-12 hours after that @work. Basically I only go home to kiss my cat, shower and sleep, every 2 days or so. The good part is that I am so tired and busy, I don't have the energy to freak out like I normally do. October was super-****** . There has to be more to life than this.. really!!

remember the reading October was meeeeh, more like what you are describing, but then come end of November and things will be okay for you again

but 36 hour shifts is horrible!!! there must be a way around making their staff work this long, specially when other people's health is involved to!!

Sometimes it's less (24h + 7 normally). But I also work on another project that is very demanding and can't do it simultaneously. So I have to stay overtime a lot.

Can't tell you how desperately I need that vacation! I really hope it will go smoothly. Your reading is spot on so far! Will let you know when I come back.
