Came across a series-show on HBO and thought of you. This is excellent! Perry Mason based on the BOOKS, and not the TV Show from the 1950s/60s.Details are RICH! If you love investigative work, and watching the brilliance of a collaborative team, then maybe you can almost learn something watching this. In this Perry Mason starts as an investigator and he earns his lawyer degree, passing the Bar, and arguing his first case. Seems impossible that the woman was 'innocent'. He uncovers a financial plot for which the woman was being used as a scapegoat, for murder of her infant child. Involves a religious organization/church and a woman healing evangelist. At that time in actual history (in that area of California, in the early 1900s), there was a woman very-much like this fictional character.
