Hello everyone! I've been interested in astrology since I was a teenager and have read quite a few books. Occasionally I'll decide to search a topic, and I've noticed a lot of good information appearing here on your forums, which is why I decided to join. I am pretty shy, though, so you might not hear a whole lot from me. Thanks for allowing me!

Hi Dulcinea! Welcome to LL!!

Gainesville has a research astrologer resident there, with astrology school called Avalon.

Awww. Please don't be toooo shy...
We'd love to hear about some of the projects you're working on.
Are they astrologically oriented?

Are you taking astrology classes?

Thank you so much for the warm welcome! I had no idea that there was an astrology school in town. I'll have to check that out. I do have mystical themes in my music, such as folklore, tarot symbolism and gemstone imagery, but so far I haven't gone into astrology. I probably should, now that you mention it!

Here is one of my Youtube videos, for a song entitled "Blessed." http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hNK6Q2LOlGk

Nice art, nice music, Dulcinea.

I liked your vocals.
In the ancient past of mine, I had a friend who played harp. We had gone into an echoey church and made some spontaneous-sounding instrumental and vocals (close to the ambience of music you had done). Really an exhilarating experience.

BTW .. At LL, when leaving a link--
remove the 's' from http, and the link is clickable from your post.

If you go into above post using 'Edit', you can delete the 's' from http, and it will fix that link.

Very good to know! I noticed that and hoped someone would point out the secret!

The harp that I play is one of those inexpensive lap harps for kids, but I think it sounds surprisingly nice.

Thank you for listening! What I really like about these forums are the personal accounts. Books are great, but theory can manifest in an unexpected manner in real life. It's interesting and reassuring to read about the different ways people can experience an aspect. I did subscribe to the Davide Cochrane channel, BTW.

So agree, any chart will react to your parents', your social background, education... it's a whole context, can't separate theory from practice here

.. {ref D.Cochrane}

In other kinds of webinar videos I've seen him in (outside of classroom-type lectures), he's very much into music, higher consciousness. He practices an eastern-religion. Has an elderly(?) woman psychotherapist now affiliated with his astrology business. They run seminars in your area.

You might want to attend one of their weekends some time-- just to get some exposure. It would be much more affordable since you live there already.

He researches Vibrational Astrology (Harmonics). That's an advanced course of study. The VA written report he offers is fabulous. If you can afford it, might be very interesting for you-- being in the arts.

Enjoy!

Thanks for listening Ayelet! The synth was played by a musician friend, and I did the rest. It's from a new album I just finished. I made another video yesterday. Not all of my music is this mellow, but some is! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TR0y9q35jnQ

Hi Graham. I've never heard of Vibrational Astrology before--you learn something new every day!

Congratulations on your album! It sounds similar to meditation music, but at the length of a song. Sounds spiritual.

Thank you again for listening. Those two songs opened and closed the album, as I thought it would be nice to start on a quiet note so to speak. There were more energetic songs in between. I also do folk music with a Brit folk/60s flavor. If you're interested, this one tells the story of a fairy who falls in love with a mortal. It was my first attempt at making a video. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y7HSPsk4ZJ0

Folk is actually my cup of tea, and especially alternative folk. Very pretty. What's the name of the album?

Oh, it's musette, right? Is the hunter and the fairy in it?

Edit: found it!

I listen to West of Twilight. it's special. (I prefer acoustics to electronics, even though there are many new possibilities in this area)

Actually, musette is special too. I really love "carnelian", for example. And I love "whirligig reverie", the electronics is beautiful even though I don't usually choose to listen to electronics.

I really appreciate you checking out my music, Ayelet! I do plan to continue to make acoustic music also. For many years, I just had a guitar and a flute, so West of Twilight was based on those. As I continued to learn I acquired more instruments and was introduced to the wonders of technology, so I wanted to explore some new sounds. And I just got an electric guitar! But I'm planning on making the next album mostly acoustic, as I have quite a few song ideas of that type filed away. I use different artist names for the two types of music in case listeners only like one or the other.

It is very kind of you to listen, Ayelet, and the feedback is quite helpful. Is there a way to send a PM on this forum? I'd like to send you a free download code if you'd like one.

Wow, thanks! That's very generous of you. I don't know what PM is. Maybe ask Randall if that's possible.

I saw there are no more copies for sale of "West of Twilight" and there is a limited edition of "musette". There is a lot of imagination in "musette". I like acoustics because nature is an ideal for me. I wonder if your experience in electronics will affect your writing for acoustic instruments. It could be interesting, actually.

I'm thinking it isn't possible to send private messages (PM) so I'll just post the codes here. They can only be used by one person anyways. The physical release of West of Twilight sold out a while ago. Since so few people buy CDs these days, it was a small limited edition. They were numbered, which is kind of cool. Musette is available, since it's new. They ship from the UK and are pretty reasonably priced, especially if you're in the UK. You can redeem the codes here: http://katjejanisch.bandcamp.com/yum. The code for West of Twilight is v952-evc7 and the code for Musette is zzqv-w6tu.

Thank you very much, but I get to a page in bandcamp which says "Sorry, that something isn't here". Anyways, no worries. I can hear the music in my computer and will buy your new album, since I'm one of those who still buy the actual discs.
