GREEN FAIRY (and others), I guess the easiest way to get a general overview for the upcoming chances/challenges for a whole year would be to look at the slow moving outer planets such as SATURN, URANUS, NEPTUNE, PLUTO - and also CHIRON and the NODES.Jupiter is moving quite fast, so his influence is only a temporary thing, each transit lasting for only about 1-2 weeks. This would give a good impression for an outlook on a monthly basis.
But to get a "flavour" for the big 2009-topics for the various sun signs ... I'd look at the slower planets first.
SATURN will move "retro" from 21° Virgo to 14° Virgo from January till May - and then go forward again from 14° Virgo to 4° Libra till Dec. 2009.
So Virgo-Suns in the third decade will have it conjunct most of 2009 - and later on the Saturn-cj. will meet the early Libra-Suns - some heavy tasks and stabilizing experiences for these people, seriousmindedness, "grounding" stamped all over 2009.
Accordingly, Saturn will oppose the 3rd Pisces-decade and at the end of the year also the early Aries-Suns. It will stand in asquare to late Sagittarian- and Gemini-Sun - some harsh reality checks awaiting these people (depending on the house placement, when you want to study the details.)
Meanwhile, some nice Saturnian support and stabilization will be felt via the trine and sextile for late Cancers, Scorpios, Capricorns and Taureans, lasting all year.
URANUS will start the year at 19° Pisces, will reach 26° Pisces in summer and then go retro again and will be at 22° Pisces at the end of the year.
So, again the late Pisces- and Virgo-Suns come under scrutiny here. These signs will really be torn between the strict Saturnian influence on the one hand, and the revolutionary Uranian influence on the other.
Again 3rd-decan-Sagittarian- and Gemini-Suns will feel a square - really not too easy to handle, with the Saturnian square on the other hand.
3rd-decan Cancer, Scorpio, Capricorn and Taurus again will profit from Uranus. These will feel a nice mixture of stabilization (from Saturn) and refreshment (from Uranus)
NEPTUNE: Will move from 22° Auquarius to 26° Aqua in summer and then backwards again till 25° Aqua at the end of 2009.
It will confuse, delude and/or soften the egos of 3rd-decan Leo- (opposition) and Aqua-Suns (cojunction); also late Scorpio- and Taurus-Suns might feel misguided or confused by Neptune (which will be standing in a square to these over the whole year.)
Some gentle Neptune-sextile or -trine will be felt by 3rd-decan Sagittarians, Gemini, Libra and Aries-people - more sensitivity, inspiration, tenderness.
Chiron will stand close to Neptune - so basically the same aspects that are sketched for Neptune above will be in the working for transiting Chiron as well. Chiron can be hurting - and healing.
PLUTO will be almost stuck between 0/1 and 3 dg Capricorn - boosting the early Capricorn-suns (heavy dose of aggressive and powerful energy) - opposing harshly the very early Cancer-Suns (screams: challenge!) - and squaring nastily the early Libra- and Aries-Suns (some aggravation unavoidable, I'm afraid).
Pluto will sextile and/or trine (will support) the eraly Scorpip-, Pisces-, Taurus- and Virgo-Suns. Nice energy infusion, can be inspiring and deliver some courage and boldness.
The North Node will start the new year at 10° Aquarius and will end it at 22° Capricorn. All sun placements within that range (or on the opposite end, between 10° Leo and 22° Cancer) will feel a dash of "karmic consequence", ;-) Maybe some memorable contacts/meetings, confrontations or friendships, some sort of "coming out";-)
