Topic: Deceased Ascendant help

I'm trying to figure out my deceased brother's ascendant. After much searching through old boxes, I came across his birth certificate but there was no birth time. I don't want to ask my parents about this. I would like to see his chart really bad. He died 4 years before I was born from lukemia. My family has never been close after his death and I've experienced the aftermath of his passing all my life. His birth information is : January 28, 1976
Lautoka, Fiji Islands He is either a Sun in Aquarius, Moon in Sagittarius... or Moon in Capricorn. I thought he would be a water ascendant or at least have a lot of water in his chart because he looks very similar to me. I think that my chart indicates his death.. I have Jupiter conjunct Chiron in the 3rd opposing 4 planets in the 8th house. Here are his pictures.. :   IP: Logged |

So sorry about your family's loss. I feel he looks like a Pisces rising. Those eyes feel very Pisces to me. Maybe even Libra rising.

Well.. I've thought of either Scorpio, Pisces, or Libra... but I'm not sure. His eyes look dreamy.. but my other brother's eyes are pretty dreamy and aloof and he has no pisces at all, just a loaded 12th house. Same with a really good friend of mine. I thought either Pisces or Scorpio because of how similar we look.. but maybe it could just be his Moon in Capricorn. He sort of does look like his Moon is in Sag though..Should I post his charts with the diff ascendants to determine which one is right? I really don't know what to look for. IP: Logged |

Hmm, well I don't you to go through all the trouble. It's hard to guess the ascendant, especially if maybe he even had planets in the 1st, you know?
I have a feeling he was born late at night (11PM-ish), or even in the wee hours of morning (something like 2:00-3:30 AM). Just a hunch. I had to do the same thing for my grandmother's chart, guess the time. But I think you should trust your intuition - does him being born late/early morning resonate with you? IP: Logged |

I actually had his chart at midnight , ascendant scorpio.. and then i changed it to 11pm, it was ascendant scorpio with North node in 1st, Uranus in 12th conjunct ASC. Also Jupiter & Chiron in the 6th, ruled by aries. Mars in 8th opposing Neptune 2nd. I don't know if that has anything to do with his lukemia.
Uhmm..3 AM has him at ASC Capricorn..North Node 11..Moon,Venus,Neptune in the 12th, Mars in 6th house, Jupiter & Chiron in aries in 4th house.
When I try a Pisces ASC starting at 7:40AM, I get Sun in the 12th, Jupiter&Chiron in the 2nd, 6th ruled by Leo. Sorry if this was all too cluttered. I'm not sure what to really look for. IP: Logged |

That's ok, I guess you're looking for something in regards to his health in general? I have no idea about what to look for in regards to that. I mean, if you think about it *anything* can be tied in to a question really. So I don't know. I think start with whatever your true hunch is about when he was born, cast the chart, put it up here if you'd like.
I think once you decide on a birth time, it might be good to stick to it for a while until you're told otherwise about the true time he was born.Sorry I couldn't be of more help  IP: Logged |

if his asc is correct in this particular chart, he has six planets in the 6th house which rules health among other things. so sad im sorry!IP: Logged |

Don't take it personally. I looked at this thread before, but I honestly didn't know what to say. I'm terrible at guessing ascendants, and I don't think anyone else here is good at it, either.  Okay.I think this is his rising,or very close to it. I first did a solar chart because they always say the same as a natal chart but in a different way. Starting with that here are the basics:
With solar his aquarian sun becomes the asc. at 7 degrees, thus the 2nd house is 7 degrees the next sign, pisces. Right away we see mercury in the 1st house. That means in his natal chart both the qualities of aquarius and mercury must be represented. And as the sun (that we are using for the asc) rules the 7th, it also must be included. So I had to find the placement through the process of elimation that also represented these things. Libra rising (thus rep. the 7th) at about 5 degrees gives us uranus in the 1st (thus rep. aquarius) and libra's ruler venus is in the 3rd (thus rep mercury). So this rising says the same as his solar chart.
The next thing I saw with your chart was a sun conj. pluto in scorpio. That helped make it simpler. You will be represented as such in his chart by looking at the 3rd (siblings house).And we do have that: ruler of the 8th (scorpio/pluto) is in his 3rd house. And the ruler of the 3rd is opposite pluto in the 1st!!
Your sun conj. pluto is in the 6th. In his 3rd (siblings)we find the ruler of the 6th! Anyway I think his rising sign is probably libra, although probably a bit earlier to get the moon in jupiter (since your moon is 9th from 3rd, better representing what is in your chart).

I wanted to add that you thought he would have a water Asc, well if it was a libra rising then his ruler, venus was conj. the moon, giving him that watery projection.
Also your 3rd has cancer on the cusp, representing his rulers conj to the moon (which is the ruler of cancer)
Also that would explain the piercings: pluto near the asc.

Also wanted to add that you thought maybe scorpio rising, which we can see why that would be your impression with a pluto near the asc.I keep posting because I could go on forever, I really like using solar charts to rectifiy unknown birthtimes. Any questions ask...

My guts say Capricorn. He has a serious and mature expression for such a young boy, an old soul. Besides, I have a Capricorn ASC boy sat behind me, I turned around to do a take, yes, was my thought on that one. Same shaped face, that could be throwing me out. Another thought, with Capricorn rising, the ruler of the 6th is Mercury retrograde in the 1st house (the body), oppostite Saturn retrograde, in Cancer. Both those planets are at the end of their signs, I'd put Saturn as Void of Course. Scorpio rising. No. That's just my instincts talking. And the fact that I am one. I am sure he is not. My mother has Sun/Mercury/Pluto in conjunction like you, and experienced similar to what you have described. She would never have been able to ask for the birth details of her sister, in fact, as things were then, it was not permissible to mention her name. Not healthy. So I don't doubt for one second your comment about living in the aftermath. I think the lack of responses is because even on here people find this a difficult subject to approach, and some of the regular posters are also quite young. IP: Logged |

Okay so I thoroughly read your posts. Thank you for the responses. You guys made some really good points.
So I guess I've narrowed it down to either Cap or Libra ASC. I've been trying to find a death certificate but I can't..
From what I've heard though, he did like to avoid arguments and he was very positive.. So far I'm still confused but I guess I'm a few steps closer. His expression is pretty serious though. Wouldn't that seriousness come from a Cap ASC.. or maybe Cancer ASC with Saturn in the 1st? Sorry I haven't been able to be around the computer lately. Oh yeah another thing I wanted to bring up.. I see fire in him. I think he has a Sagittarius moon.. the way his eyebrows and nose come together.. if you know what I mean. IP: Logged |

I just wanted to comment on what you said;
the fire in him, with libra rising that puts his Asc ruler in a fire sign.
The seriousness you think is capricorn, if libra rising would come from the ruler of his MC being in capricorn.Let us know if you find out. Good luck IP: Logged |

I'm not good at guessing signs, but just wanted to say that when we rectify chart ascendants, don't we use progressed charts and guess the ascendant's position by using the year or month of major life events? I'm not familiar with this thought, but just wanted to give an idea. Maybe someone else knows?IP: Logged |

i got Taurus rising. He reminds me of a boy i know.If you know more stories about him as a kid, it'll be easier to nail his IC. Based on what you said, he was positive. i see jupiter in 12th if he's taurus rising. IP: Logged |

I would look at his 8th and 6th house since these are the areas in his young life that too precedent, see which ascendant puts which planets in these houses,
See which signs rule the areas of his body that caused his death, is that signs ruling planet in one of these houses or the house itself under that sign....what is the condition of the planets falling in these houses? Squares? Saturn/ Pluto/Chiron how are they aspected and what happens with the chart if they are placed in these houses? Use your intuition to guide you to know what feels right and shows your brother and who he was and someone who would have such a brief life and be taken by a health issue.
