quote: On December 31 Saturn turns retrograde at 22 degrees Virgo slowing down the high speed momentum we've picked up since Uranus pivoted direct in late November. Saturn's pivot will be felt for at least a week beforehand as it slows down considerably, and may be experienced as a sense of heaviness, perhaps frustration, in moving ahead. But the retro period, from now till May 16, 2009, is important for re-negotiating our major projects and plans, discovering the flaws and imperfections we need to work on, and committing to the next level. Look up 22 Virgo in your chart if possible to locate the area of greater focus, discipline and restraint over the coming months.

Hi kfn327, Interesting question, it got me curious enough to take a peek and guess what I found?????? 22 degrees Virgo is exactly 2 degrees off my Virgo Ascendant at 24 degrees 21 minutes, however I am a blind antelope as to what it means. Any thoughts you have would be appreciated. EDIT * Which means it also falls in my first house I guess. IP: Logged |

The closest planet to 22 degrees Virgo for me is SATURN! (22 degrees 17 minutes). I'm just glad Saturn is in retro now, it gives me time to consolidate the lessons learned thus far, so that when August rolls around and Saturn is exact I'll be ready again!IP: Logged |

actuallyTransiting Saturn goes retrograde at 21'46 Virgo, and it's currently sextile my Venus in 21'47 Scorpio in 3rd and my Orcus in 22'28 Cancer R in 11th for a minor grand trine, conjuncting my Venus/Orcus midpoint in 22'07 Virgo and Pluto/Ascendant midpoint in 22'08 Virgo. Orcus is a big kuiper belt object, classed as a plutino, named after Roman God of Death
it would seem to have similar astrological influence as Pluto. so it would be like having transiting Saturn in minor grand trine to Venus trine Pluto and conjunct Venus/Pluto midpoint. Transiting Saturn won't reach 22'00 Virgo until Aug 24, 2009.
btw...Saturn is stationary right now,and so the Saturnian energy is much stronger now.

I've got the Sun in the fifth house at 21 degrees Virgo, Saturn's been right on my ass in conjunct and will remain so until August. Nothing else is 22 degrees. If saturn goes retro, does that mean it'll feel less annoying for a while, or more annoying?IP: Logged |

My moon at 22 degree 04 min. (6th house) ven/mar midpoint at 22 degree pisces.(12th house) Uranus will be transiting at 22 degree pisces. Not sure what to make of that! Throwing saturn in the mix. Both square prenatal eclipse point ( 22 sag) w valentine Natal and progressed also moira(natal). Sounds like = men, past, karma, love not sure if it's good or bad. IP: Logged |

You can look to the harmonic charts to give you more detail as the progressions and transits will also activate harmonics. IP: Logged |

In my 8th house, as well. I'm planning to get a loan and buy a house, and the bank won't give me the money until April-May, so I guess the retro period makes sense for me...IP: Logged |

My MC is at 19° Virgo - so Saturn has just crossed it and entered my 10th house - is about to move backwards to my 9th now, crossing my MC for the 2nd time - and then finally for a third time, re-entering my 10th in early summer. On this passage, Saturn will trine my natal Saturn (in 6th house of daily work) again, for a while, just as it did lately. All this has worked out in my life already: I just got an unexpected, wonderful job offer - am about to leave my town and to move at another town for that company, will start the new job in February - a real "raise" in my reputation, bringing decent money and a great amount of responsibilty with it... Ugh. Such a pertinent topic for me. I am still working through my past relationship with my ex whose Moon is at 22 degrees Virgo. (And Saturn is moving through my 5th house too.)I am hoping this Saturn retro will help me work through this once and for all. I just want to let him go!!!! Honestly!!!! Happy new year to me! Since Pluto moved to Cap, Natal Saturn comes into play. Some astrologers are telling us that the sign -and house- of natal Saturn is pulsing like a heart beat. Buckle down syndrome. Watching transiting Saturn for me in part means a conj to Jupiter @ 22+ Virgo 1H. To me this is the brake meets the accelerator. A Mars conj Saturn works in a similar fashion. [Hullo Zala : ] Ever driven behind someone who brakes and accelerates at the same time? Like they are driving with both feet, but it is automatic with no clutch? Feels like that. It means second guessing myself to the point of inertia. An opposition to Moon, and a square to Natal Mars, is not helping in the least. There is good in it surely, time will tell. IP: Logged |

What houses does your mercury rule LibraLove?I have a buddy who has mercury at the same exact degree, mercury rules his 6th,7th and 9th house (in which it is). i am very interested in seeing how it plays out. cafe astrology says: quote: You are very serious-minded now, and you ask probing questions that strike to the heart of the matter. This is a good time for reading, studying, and disciplined, concentrated thinking and research. Your deep thought and analysis can lead you to an important discovery, realization, or decision. Your best work now is on very specific problems or technical issues. You are also able to perfect a technique, such as would be used in a trade, craft, or artistic endeavor.Your thinking on larger, more philosophical issues, like politics and religion, tends to be very narrow and one-sided in scope, much more so than you are likely to realize. You tend to simplify complex problems and issues into simple terms that have simple answers, and you tend to feel indignant or self-righteously superior when others point out alternatives to your ideas. Try not to oversimplify complex issues. In general, communications are difficult. This time period is better for personal analysis and research rather than for sharing ideas. Others will usually take little interest in your ideas now, and you will be disappointed by the lack of response.
