It is totally obvious who is disrespecting another people's/state's border. Israel is under constant attacks from terrorist Palastian groups.

I am absoultely AGAINST war - especially against the killing of innocent civilian people.

BUT: It's the HAMAS, the terrorists, who accept the killing of their own people, by using cicilian spaces as their "headquarters". In fact, Hamas is terrorizing BOTH people, both sides.

By the way, HAMAS is no legitimate aministration, government or something!

Come on now! What would the Americans amongst you say, when Mexican terrorists KEPT sending bombs across the border to .. say Texas? When they enter your country just to commit suicide attacks in public busses? CONSTANTLY? And if these groups publicly announced that destroying your country is their only goal??? I am against an invasion as I have friends in the IDF and don't want them hurt...I also have family celebrating the holidays in a bomb shelter...so rather than pointless agenda pushing I wish people would attempt to somehow help the situation...and if one cannot help, then one should at least try to be sensitive to other people. I have plenty of friends living in both Israel and Palestine and my heart breaks over this situation. But Hamas is sending rockets on a daily basis into RESIDENTIAL areas...not military basis but SCHOOLS and HOSPITALS...I don't think that should be easily ignored...

Interesting that the Israeli's broke the peace agreement by bombing Palestine on USA's election day when it went completely unnoticed by the entire world... hmmm.

Anyway, l feel deeply for Travolta - which is why l started this thread and i'm sorry l diverted it onto the other situation. I was typing the thread title as l watched the news here and l just wrote my feelings down whilst in a daze at the video footage.

The country of Palestine doesn't even exist. Doesn't that at least count for SOME of the issue?????
I'm not saying that condones any violence - I'm trying to take the complete thing into consideration here - that's essentially what they're fighting about over there.
The terrorism IS another story altogether. It's an added element...it DIVERTS from the real issue. And if any of those idiots who are firing off bombs gave a sh!t and actually could manage an independent thought, then this might be a completely different story. But they're not thinking, and they do not give a crap about what's going on. You're having a group of people use religion for political reasons to blow something up, and this is taking the attention off the fact that Palestine doesn't exist.

You guys are fighting over two completely different things:
The terrorism is used for political power ultimately. There's obviously a completely different agenda, one diverting from the issue. It's worthy of attention, sure...but it's also a distraction by the media, who ultimately does pander to lobbyists to a certain extent. This isn't conspiracy theory. This is the truth. What 'objective' media is going to give you the whole story about this?

Anyway. My two cents. There's a lot more I could say, but I'd be p!ssing off a lot of people. And as far as I'm concerned, I'm just as off-topic as everyone else right now, so I'm as much to blame for all of this.

To answer your question: Yes I am there as I am watching Al Jazeera Live on TV I've been there since 82 as a little kid when Israel invaded Lebanon for the first time and I've seen piles and piles of dead bodies of women and children and old men and cats and dogs for no reason other than being Palestinians, go read about Sabra and Shatila refugee camp massacres. so dont come to me asking me "Were you there bla bla bla".

FYI, I am not a Hamas supporter and I am not a Palestinian either I am also not condoning any of their tactics all what I am saying is they were elected by their people and their people are being made to pay for their decision, this is what it's all about, it's not the rockets, also it's election time in Israel now, I am sure you understand this means the more Palestinians you kill the better your chances are in winning.

They might be a terrorist organization in your eyes but in the eyes of their people the Palestinians who elected them they are heroes and freedom fighters fighting to liberate their people.

No one heard you when Israel broke the truce 157 times way before any rockets were fired, no one heard you when mosques and churches and hospitals alike were being bombed so what are you lamenting about I dont get it?

What's the difference between a rocket fired by a Hamas fighter and a rocket fired by an Apache American made copter? The end result is the same so why is one considered terrorist to you and the other a puritan if you were really non biased and neutral as you like to project yourself to be and have friends on both sides?

MyVirgoMAsk - in that I agree if both sides agreed that neither is going away and what needs to be done now is Palestine needs a stronger infrastructure, an economy, some independent businesses. Hell I think Israel should help build it up because a strong economy leaves no desire for terrorism.

Cuz America is full of propaganda but Al Jazeera is a completely honest and free TV...haha get real...did they tell u that we drink blood of the children too?I have been there too and i know the destruction that these rockets cause...when a suicide bomber walks into a club and blows up 100s of teenagers who are just hanging out...why aren't you bored of that? When people stop supporting murder than the other side will stop supporting bombings...which most don't agree with btw...until the rockets start flying...

I did read about those camps...my best friend spent her summer in a Palestinian refugee camp helping...did you? Go read about Ashqelon and Sderot and how upon creation of Israel, Jews were expelled from Iraq, Iran and Algeria...so much for that right of return..

The truth was broken because the rockets are constantly flying in...or how about the last time I was in Israel there was an attack in Dimona...first in 2 years...so who broke the truce again?

This forum is like the reception area of LindaLand and I would hate for someone to come here and visit and see some of the stuff here and think this is what we are about. If this were a business (and it is in a valid sense) potential customers would walk out reading some of this.

While I agree with some of the political views expressed here and disagree with many, it just simply doesn't belong here. This is bull****. I hate this.
