Ever since you posted that picture of the prim school teacher with the strong disciplinarian look, that's how I think of you. You pop in to correct our mistakes or point out something we should've seen our selves....and even when it isn't me, darned if I don't want to cover my mouth and giggle because 'oops teacher caught us again' (I actually had the thought 'could we get one past her)!!You make it fun.

There are plenty of pics out there to help the poster understand, but he isn't interested in the astronomy lessons that might aid his understanding.....

occultation occurs when two objects are conjunction/parallel or opposition/contraparallel

Sun conjunct/parallel Moon is an occultation and known as Solar Eclipse.....an enhanced New Moon

Sun oppose/contraparallel Moon is an occulation and known as Lunar Eclipse......an enhanced Full Moon

I have Mercury conjunct/parallel Venus, and that's an occulation.

I have Saturn oppose/contraparallel Neptune,and that's an occultation.

this a v.complicated thought by the way. reminds me of when i was understand just what the hell an ascendant was...i had to repeat it a few times before its stuck and made sense in my head.
