I went to the Mind Body Soul Exhibition in November and attended a talk there about the Maya Prophecy.

To be honest, the advert was misleading. I think we all went there thinking that some light would be shed on this 2012 business. What the talk was about instead was his (Dr. somebody, I forget) interest in the people and a bit on what happened to them, how they lived and whatnot. The only interesting point I learned was that the date is in fact 23rd December 2012 and that unless one is referring to their language you say 'Maya' rather than 'Mayan', i.e. Maya people, Maya prophecy, Mayan language.

I am nervous about the date although so far I've not let myself become too wrapped up in it. Although I have no idea obviously, I am leaning toward a more internal shift rather than an external one. However, this doesn't make sense on some levels because surely this sort of change would occur over time rather than the clock strikes twelve and all of a sudden people have a better awareness. My interest in Astrology has only recently become a more serious one so I don't know - could there be some sort of planetary activity that affects us then?

As always I suspect the government - or rather their puppeteers. It wouldn't surprise me if they get up to no good in some way. Some suspect a staged E.T. invasion. Although out there, this theory wouldn't surprise me. Not much would :/

The Age of Aquarius wont start until 2150. Plus, that age isn't going to be more spiritual in than the Age of Pisces. I mean, think about it. Pisces is way more spiritual than Aquarius. I think what will happen is that we will shed our reliance on religion and focus on the here and now and improve our technology. Since Aquarius represents humanitarianism, we'll focus on helping our fellow man, but not for religious rites. Maybe we'll come into contact with more intelligent, alien beings.

hmm..ive heard several times that we're already in the age of aquarius or transitioning into it..
and yes pisces also is more spiritual

and as for those claiming the earth will implode or w/e, i did some thinking...if these aspects and eclipses happen around every 26,000 yrs than the earth that is a about 4.5 billion yrs old would have gone through this a few times..and obviously its still here.

aqua scorp - interseting you mentioned the time 11:11. THE 11:11 phenomenon has something to do with the higher vibration and the shift into the 5th dimension. Some think it has to do with the 11 universal and 11 spiritual laws, but it is a time of awakening. I study a bit and it still doesn't make sense, we are all just guessing, but something is happening. Our consoiusness is evolving. Somehow it is all related, I do believe that for sure.

great...depression is setting in...i don't do well with talks of catastrophe...i end up not being able to sleep for days...so im firmly planting my rose colored glasses on my face..my life has been nothing but a roller coaster of catastrophe all i ever hoped for was a better future. and im going to go on pretending it will be

leapinglemur....IT WILL BE OK. I believe it's the Annanaki coming back. Maybe they are going to take us away? Maybe you will have a choice..to stay or go. Many will want to go..many will want to stay. HEy listen..it cant be worse than childbirth....I mean BEING born. The way I see it...my life has been this way (rollercoaster) too. BRING IT ON!! Maybe this why everyones life has been a bit like this...to prepare us. I do get sad about it at times..being a Cancer Im attached to the way things are...but we all have to evolve..theres just no choice. Remeber our spirits NEVER die. Well all meat somwhere again. If we want to. Do you KNOW what you beleive to be true? This is what we will need to know when these things happen.

I even had this really silly thought. One possibility..its rather Vain..so probabkly wont come true.. What if this planet..Nibiru...just bumps the planets enough so that Venus will never be more than 8 degrees from the Sun.. Then everyone born from now on will have that Sun conjunct Venus perfect/ balanced features. In other words..everyone will be born beautiful....unique, of course, but
beautiful. Loll.....I TOLD you it was vain!!!

Being in the 5th dimention..we probably wont care anymore.

No matter what happens in 2012, it is certain that right now we are all faced with serious life decisions. No doubt you all can feel the change in the air as well as the expansion in our awareness. How long have we humans lived in the dark, how long have we denied our true heritage? Its going to be nothing short of amazing to see what our energies here on Earth will do and how they will be used to usher us into the dawning of the Age of Aquarius, what a momentous time for all!
So I say why worry about the doom and gloom of prophecies? While we can't and shouldn't deny there possibility, it should not worry any of us one bit. However knowledge is wisdom, so would it be wise to not examine them what so ever? Where there is light, there is guidance we will be shone the way. And light must shine in the darkness so that we can see the next step.
This discussion brings to mind the 18th Chapter of Genesis, where Abraham was pleading with God to save Sodom and Gomorrah.

Have faith no matter what happens we are apart of the spirit that connects us, for us there is no death only ascension to the next dimension.

lol i didnt know that Zala. My teacher would give us quotes to interpret in 7th grade so it made a really big impact one me. It took me a while to realize what it really meant.

and i love Earth..i don't wanna go. EVER. yes very childish. but im a leo and 20. and one of my very first memories at about 3 is watching my grandpa die. thats all i remember of him. and ever since then. been scared of death. my greatest fear.
the idea of our spirits living on forever is comforting, reincarnation and all that..but when im old and gray. not healthy and 24.
maybe i can go to this planet..if someone holds my hand.
also another fear. loneliness.

leapinglemur, I know where you're coming from because I get the same feelings about this kind of talk. So much of the popular talk about 2012 is negative, doom and gloom, and in my opinion psychologically dangerous to the vulnerable. There are so many interpretations as to what will happen in 2012, from aliens to consciousness shift to the ever more creepy "possibilities" - and since no one can actually agree on what WILL happen, how can any of it be 100% believed. It's unhealthy to dwell upon disturbing thoughts. I firmly believe that we create own reality, so just focus on positive thoughts. There is a Catholic prayer called the Gloria:

Glory be to the Father
and to the Son
and to the Holy Spirit.
As it was in the beginning
is now, and ever shall be,
world without end.
Amen

THAT is what I choose to believe. Life force is forever, it does not die. God is the universal energy, the source of everything, and spirit is eternal.

Remember all the predictions about Y2K. The world was going to end then, too (not to mention that there was supposed to be a global computer crash when the computer clocks ticked over). Scaremongering. The Prince song "1999" didn't help my mindset on that New Year's Eve either.

I love what u said oneruledbymars. And you too Kismet..and all of you actually. All that has been true..will still be true. Dont worry. I do think its important tho...to be aware of it...that these things will come to pass. It challenges us...it makes us think of being stripped bare of all that we take for granted. How would you face it? Who are You/We REALLY? I am reminded of the Judgment card (Tarot) And Death..when it DOES come.(which it does each and every day in every way on many levels)we ALL know this to be true...we are just entering something NEW. Growing pains, yes. But what can you do?

I agree with Crabbyfish, I love what you wrote. It is so true about our poor world...And I liked the part about being small pieces of matter because we truly are nothing in the scheme of things, just a hologram of a hologram, that is the most beautiful and most mystical thing about it.

Crabbyfish-Thanks! Getting down to the authentic you is an interesting process right? The ego has programed us to be so afraid of who we are that it is often a struggle, I see it in my own life. Things that I percieved were restrictions in one dimension were actually put there by my ego, to keep me from moving in that direction! It kind of sucks because you can only blame yourself! lol
