Is it possible to do predictive work in synastry, such as some transits that may pass over the synastry chart...or does it work better with composite? Does it work at all?IP: Logged |

Usually people do predictive work with Composites. You might be able to do transits with each individual and see how they would react to each other at a moment in time, but that's messier. I sort of do that with my boyfriend and I.. like I noticed that Mercury is retrograding over his Venus so I was like "K, he'll probably start getting introspective and weird towards me, probably shouldn't do anything drastic if he says something upsetting."IP: Logged |

You can do predictive work with Synastry, no doubt about it. For example, a gentleman friend of mine has Moon at 2 degrees Aquarius and I have Venus at 2 degrees Gemini, so we have Moon trine Venus and it's a lovely, warm and romantic aspect to have between us. Right now transiting Jupiter approaching a conjunction with his Moon and already he's had a grand opportunity come into his life. He called me immediately to tell me of this great fortune. That same transiting Jupiter is approaching a trine to my Venus and I can tell you that I'm feeling pretty upbeat and in great spirits, especially strange for someone who has just been laid off. But I'm looking forward to happy feelings with my special friend and perhaps and opportunity will present itself for me, as well, when Jupiter's trine becomes exact. That's basically how it works. Now when you're talking about difficult aspects between charts, those also become activated when certain planets transit both charts and can irritate you both helping to cause friction in those tense areas of your charts/relationship/etc. If you both have a Mercury-Mars square between you and Mars comes along to conjunct that Mercury, you will both probably end up having some rip-roaring communication/argument/debate or whatever. See how it works? It's more simple than it sounds. My own personal experience with transits to a composite chart is that they never make a difference but some astrologers seem to see something so hopefully one of them will speak up. how does one obtain a composite chart with transits? Or do I have to do that by hand?IP: Logged |

Severing ties is easier to see in your own individual chart. Whether it's a break up or a complete detaching with an axe is up to you. These measurements might signal a crisis or break up in a relationship, but the permanence is up to you. You'll have to forgive me, I'm very sleepy but some of the measurements could be transiting or Solar Arc hard aspects of Uranus(surprising), Pluto, or Saturn (things turn cold or stop or end) to the Sun/Moon midpoint; Saturn hard aspect Venus; Saturn or Uranus conjunct the Descendant. There are other indicators but it's late and I'm slee.......zzzzzzzz zzzzzzzzz IP: Logged |
