I know what the books are saying about this transit. But I'd like to hear (read) about some personal experiences with this. And a question: If you met someone whom you are interested in ... and you look at their chart and see this transit coming up for that other person ... would you dare to "invest" a lot into that relationship? Tr. Uranus oppos. Venus is said to shake-up a person's love life and to make it extremely volatile for a longer period. If you meet someone who'll have this soon, for the next year or so: Would you enter a relationship with him/her and make a commitment to it? Would you be wary?IP: Logged |

I don't know about Tr. Uranus opposing Venus, but in my natal I have Venus opposing Uranus, I've read it brings out creativity and your tastes may be more eccentric than usual, something out of the norm sorta speak, also look at where your Taurus and Libra cusps are. IP: Logged |

Okay, what if the person you have in mind will experience tr. Uranus oppos. his natal Venus - and at the same time you will experience tr. Uranus trining your own ASC??? Can any relationship begun under such transits be of any substance? What would such a coupling under these transits imply?

I would say to have fun. Enjoy this persons company and more will be revealed. I actually think that you know the answer to this one, Alvarella777. Uranus transits always bring about "freedom" or "eccentricity" and surprises. That's why I say to have fun because it looks like fun, but don't jump on the committment bandwagon so soon. You will soon see the merits of the relationship and you'll both want to keep it or the lack of seriousness.IP: Logged |

Hi Alvarella,I would say that the other person would have more to be wary about from you if it is their Venus being opposed by tr. Uranus...no offence. When tr. Uranus was in exact opposition to my natal Venus, on that actual day, I had the weirdest experience that acted as a catalyst for further weird and out of this world stuff. I had been reading Tarot for two new age stores. On that particular Friday, my last read for the day, an older man came in that could have been in his 70's but his physical condition looked years younger, perhaps as a middle aged man. Anyhow, I gave him a reading, and at the end he said that I am a 'good reader' and I will go far. He said I want to give you something, he said 'give me your hand'. I thought ookay wutevor...and once he let go after sitting in silence for awhile he said goodbye. As soon as he left I felt like I was going to chuck up. I told my employer/friend and he and I were worried coz I felt so crook. I told one of my friends later who does Reiki and she said "well he just gave you Reiki". I thought 'sh*t!' what the hell did I get. Anyhow after that, without going into details my life has never been the same since and also, it was the last day I read Tarot professionally. I never met him again, I don't think it was evil or anything but it certainly was a powerful catalyst. I never got any sexual feeling or love thing for him or on the reverse either I hope, however I felt towards him like he was a patron/powerful uncle sorta guy. Since looking into my asteroids, I have discovered thanks to Iqhunk(IQ) that I have Reiki at 0* Pisces in exact opp to my Venus at 0* Virgo, so yeah, Uranus was exactly conjunct Reiki that day. Also, Reiki is conjunct my 2nd Hse cusp (my resources) and I have the Merlin-Reiki combo with Merlin 26* something in Aquarius. So all in all, a pretty freaky transit experience. And guess what?!? I have Neptune gearing up for 0* Pisces in the next few years - cripes gawd knows what that will be. Probably a ghost bf or sumthin - hope not! IP: Logged |

I went through this Uranus squaring my venus for most of 2007 and two months into 2008. From the outset, I didn't see myself ending my relationship as I was still very committed, but it did abruptly end later that year for rather acrimonious reasons (saturn was ontop of my moon at the time too). That being said, I did recover quicker than I had thought I would but anyone else I met didn't last long. I wouldn't avoid someone just because of the transit as you have to take into account other things too like people above me have said.

i just went through this recently. i think uranus/venus contacts bring attractions that spur you to fulfill your individuality more...which means they don't necessarily last (not that they CAN'T) and so while it is going on enjoy it to the utmost but don't put any expectations of committment on it until after the transit is gone...i have in fact run into the SAME person with uranus ON venus and OPPOSITE it!! both were fairly brief but VERY significant encounters on my overall worldview and self-view, if you follow my drift...and for him they were both on uranus sq uranus passages so i imagine they were pretty catalytic for him too...IP: Logged |
