right, iv noticed that when planets are in domicile houses and signs, people have called them powerful. which raises a question:

are the planets astrologically equal in all houses and signs? or, is it not equal, and planets are more powerful in domicile signs and houses? or on particular signs/elements?

Planets are not astrologically equal in all houses and signs. There effect varies with respect to house and signs. Each house and sign have there own meaning and they deffer from each other.

so for example, mercury in gemini in the 3rd house, is likely to be, or lets say makes the person prone to be, more intelligent than people without this placement? and more intelligent than say, mercury in sagittarius in the 6th house?

so you definitely believe its not an equal thing?

You are correct Libralove.
Mercury in Gemini 3rd House bestows the maximum data centric intelligence.
Mercury in Gemini in other houses will accordingly give data centric intelligence focused on the relevant house strength, but it wont be the 100% power of third house Gemini.

Mercury is generally very strong in all Air Signs or Air Houses, strong in Fire Signs and Fire Houses. Slightly Weaker in Earth Signs and Earth Houses, though very practical over there. Mercury is strong in Virgo though.
In Water Signs, it picks up a psychic/investigative flavour.

In a water house it would be amplified, I would think, since it's a water planet technically, right?
Most people I know with Pluto in the 4th had some kind of power stuff with one of the parents. The presence or lack thereof of one or the other parent created a powerful impact. Maybe powerful issues with the father, whether or not he was present.
And I'd say childhood impressions leave a strong impact too, which is hard to break away from.

my mercury is in virgo, in the 3rd house, 3rd house cusp in virgo, square uranus in capricorn, conjunction venus in libra (also in the 3rd)

i definitley have an analytical mind, definitley relate to the venus part, influencing how i talk/write/communicate.

as for intelligence, well i don't think im unintelligent thats for sure.. i don't have any great grades though, i was too lazy for my own good, and obsessed with other things, couldn't focus on studying lol.

Hi libralove,

I would say that Pluto in Scorpio in the 4th would translate as someone who would stick shoulder to shoulder as 'la force de la famille' with anyone who is remotely like family to you. Also, things like you could get very hep about anyone dissing you and yours.
