What do you think, won't this cause a problem, at least eventually?

It seems to me that this inauguration won't stick somehow.

It probably means partially that issues from the past are going to be addressed somehow.

um, i dont buy it. a lot of people said because bush took office during a rare jupiter/saturn conj, something bad would happen to him. it never happened, and it was a really irresponsible thing to even predict.

I read predictions like this on bush:

quote:
A President of a nation is the embodiment of that nations identity and this is a time when leaders come to power, but also a time when Leaders of Empires or large nations fall. Queen Victoria, Sovereign of the British Empire died on a conjunction. This cycle has also long been known by Astrologers as the 'Presidential Death Cycle' as since 1840, every U.S. President, (bar two and an assassination attempt), who has come to power in the year of a Jupiter/Saturn conjunction has died in office.

Fist of Legend says

And so are your attempts at making random rude comments to draw attention to yourself

Your antics are not unique and they're transparent. You're not the first to do it and you certainly wont be the last.

I don't think it's appropriate to turn this thread into a bashing ground of a political figure.

I was just wondering if mercury, being a personal planet would have some effect on something as important as a swearing in.

Mercury retro, always messes up things in my life.Plans get changed, you know the usual mercury retro stuff.

Wouldn't a retro mercury mean it somehow gets redone later, or something unexpected changes the inauguration?

I'm not making a prediction, I am asking a question.

Why is Saturn conjunct Jupiter considered bad, by the way?

About Bush's jupiter/saturn conj. Don't you think that may have shown he was to get a 2nd term?

well the moon is also void of course on tuesday, another indicator of things "not sticking" but it can also mean a day when worries are set aside and a good time is had by all...merc Rx does usually mean a lot of tedious snafus, but saturn retro just means we are redoing some issues before it moves on to its next point...

as for jup/saturn conjunctions to me they are all about dreams coming true! how irresponsible to predict ANYONE's death on the basis of ANY transit!!

ps you can read pretty much anything into any planet but if you're not psychic i advise against predictions in general!

This Tuesday, look at the exact time that he begins to take the oath, then set the chart. Yes, if he is sworn in between 11:55 AM and 12:05 AM, the Moon will be Void-of-Course. Then look at which houses Mercury rules and which house Saturn rules.

For the Mercury houses there will be a second agenda to consider with those issues. I'm not sure right now, off the top of my head, what to consider for the house that Saturn rules, but look to other presidential inaugerations where Saturn was retrograde and which house it ruled and what circumstances occurred in that 4 year term.

I think it's just reflecting the state of the country he's about to preside over. We need to stop looking at the symbols as simply benefic or malefic or omens of doom, etc.

I read another astrologer who said that when considering the Void-of-Course Moon during this presidency, think of it as "things being done differently than we might expect." Things are extremely different than we expected they might be when he started to run for president. Not only that, he's been having to present himself more presidentially weeks before he really has the power to do so, just so that the nation can feel more secure and like things are being handled because any time that Bush speaks, the market crash's. Whether you're republican or democrat, no one seems to trust him right now and the stock market is proof of that.

So Obama's early presidential appearance and quick cabinet building has been something we're not used to. He kept saying that you can only have one president at a time and it wasn't working. The nation has been needing reassurance that someone understands what's happening and that things will be alright, even if it's not immediate. He's had to act as a backbone, even before he's given the full power to be one.

So, it's been suggested to view Void-of-Course Moon in this instance as a wild card, and that's what we've been experiencing.

That's just a suggestion, it may not be right, but it's better than irrational fear.

Hi good girl, I think I know what you mean; this is what's traditionally said about Mercury Retrograde periods:

"Mercury will be retrograde from January 11 to February 1. This means things will slow down. It is never wise to sign contracts or begin new ventures while Mercury is moving backward: anything signed or agreed to now will change dramatically later in a way that will not likely please you.
The tricky part about Mercury retrograde is that everything in your life will appear to be quite normal. In actuality, whenever Mercury goes retrograde it's a sign that the conditions around you are rapidly changing, but you won't see the truth of this for weeks or even a few months. If you agree to a big venture now, many of your assumptions will prove wrong. Your job would later change in some dramatic way, and not in a way you would have supposed or would be pleased to see."
etc.

I wouldn't read too much into this , although it is obvious he has a monumental and quite unpredictable job ahead of him. So it could easily prove to be quite fitting.

see GeoValentine's thread.

I guess if he took the oath 3 times then the first did not stick.
