"They [fixed stars] seem to form an underlying basis upon which the horoscope is built, and if a planet falls upon a star its effect is greatly magnified, giving it a prominence in the life that is quite unwarranted by its mere position and aspects in the map."

i got confused toward the end of this article though. it seems that hard aspects may be applied, conjunction being the strongest. Anne Wright (who runs the page) doubts much significance with squares though.

i think for the effectiveness the orb should be 1 degree for the fixed stars with lesser impact, and for stars like the Royal stars, Algol, Sirius and Spica, maybe up to 3 degrees would be appropriate, with the tightest being the most influential?

The above is from a 1923 classic on fixed stars. Hope it does not confuse you between Arabic, Hindu and CHinese Mansions. I had not reasd this before but I feel we can further filter the stars by picking the common ones in these three lists.

yeah.....the kuiper belt objects are no joke.

Pluto is not the largest kuiper belt object. Eris is the largest kuiper belt object. When astronomers finally found a kuiper belt object(Eris)larger than Pluto, then the debate about whether Pluto is a planet or not hit the roof, leading to the need to come up with a definition of what a planet is and that ended up with demotion of Pluto as minor planet,and so assigned a minor planet number like all the kuiper belt objects,centaurs,and asteroids. Pluto and Ceres finally were equals as dwarf planets kinda like how Pluto and Ceres shared equal time with Persephone. Eris' orbit is said to be Persephone-like for it orbits half of its time very far away from Pluto. Eris' co-discoverer, Michael Brown decided to name the object,Eris because it fit with the discord among the astronomers during its debating about Pluto's planetary status and the definition of a planet. He pointed out that mythical Eris made men quarrel and fight by making them think their opinions are right and others' are wrong,and so it was a perfect name for the object. It definitely fits with ideology.

Eris,Pluto,Makemake,and Haumea are the 4 largest kuiper belt objects,largest dwarf planets,and largest minor planets

Haumea is prominent in my chart.
Haumea is conjunct my Ascendant with 2'10 orb and square my Midheaven with 3 minutes of arc. Makemake is square my Mercury with 2'01 orb.
