Hi LibraLove the composite is made up by midpoints... for example from A's and B's Natal you would take A's lets say Venus and B's Venus and calculate the midpoint..just as u do wwith your natal accept that your using the same planets to eachother from A and B chart.Hope that made sense if not i will post an example. And it's suppose represent the relationship after two people actually come together so it's like a third body which is suppose to represent the condition of the relationship.. best was to put it it's like the child of two seperate natals when they come together. I thought it represented "how other people outside the relationship" view the relationship? IP: Logged |

Hey LaraReally? I never read that one before..interesting but it makes sense as people always seem to more take note of when two people come together. EDIT: And this is always handy to have in your favs. http://astrologynotes.org/wiki/Glossary_of_astrological_terms IP: Logged |

I read it online in a couple of different forums... not sure how true it is but l am studying the Davison Chart at moment and it seems to represent "how the couple are together" better.IP: Logged |

Whaaaat? It's not about other people's views. I don't care what they say LOL One of those people was me, a person in the relationship!! And those aspects made a lot of sense to me WITHIN my relationship. And the irony of it is that nobody saw a lot of that stuff. Your ascendant in the composite is how others view you as a couple.... ah, i think i get it now, so basically, a composite chart, is a chart that combines two natal charts into one basically? and it does this by making the midpoints betwen indeticle planets, the new position of the planets in this 'natal'.e.g., the midpoint between person A, and person B's venus, will be where the new venus planet is, in this chart?. and so on with the rest of the planets? so the idea of the composite, is to look at the 'aspects' of this chart which is like a natal, but created through midpoints of eachothers (two peoples) planets? sorry, the way i talk confuses people easily. cool how do you interpret the aspects when the chart represents two people though? e.g. this: Our Composite Sun is in the 5th, Moon conjunct DSC IP: Logged |

That part there im not so sure how to explain in words but i'm sure someone on here who knows more about composites will better explain that part. But my logic tells me aspects in the composite show what to people are capable of achieving as one. Just a thought as thats how i feel about composites. So it may show the strengths and weaknesses of the realtionship its self and what each person contributes to it.IP: Logged |

The composite or Davison is a chart of the relationship itself. To see how the relationship influences each person you can look at conjunctions to the natal. Example: Composite Sun: conjuncts A`s natal Moon has no conjunctions to B`s chart in this case you can see that the relationship seems to be more significant to A than to B. but the composite alone shows how they are as a couple.

Yeah, I consider it the personality of the relationship. quote: how do you interpret the aspects when the chart represents two people though?
Same as a regular chart. All the same areas and planets are represented, so it's just a matter of applying the aspect to the relationship instead of the individual. IP: Logged |

Composite 5th house Sun means that the area of focus of the relationship is romance, fun and games. The Sun is the focus of the relationship ie the ego of the relationship. The Moon, of course, represents emotions of the relationship. A Moon in the 7th means that there is a sense of togetherness. It's an excellent place for the Moon in the Composite. IP: Logged |
