OK astrology fans, Venus is about to go retrograde at 15 degrees of Aries in just about 4 weeks. She is passing into the "shadow period" right now at 29 Pisces, so keep your eyes open to what's going on in your 'Venus life'.

Personally I am interested in this one, Venus will station-retro exactly on my Natal Mars and progressed DC, and station-direct two days after my solar return.

Good times coming? I wonder.

Hi - great topic - let's keep an eye on this one! ;-) I have been thinking about that Venus-retrograde as well.

Currently tr. Venus is in my 4th house (cj. my "Veritas"/28° Pisces) - and I am just preparing for a house move to another town, which will take place in a couple of days! Venus wandering through my 4th now ... and I am sorting out my stuff, packing boxes, preparing for my new home...;-)

From here tr. Venus will travel further through my 4th house, passing my Cupido and my Chiron - until it comes to its turning point at 15° Aries - very shortly before my Amor and 5th house cusp (17° Aries). Venus then will walk backwards again ... to the point it is located at right now.

So: "Housing" will be a big topic for me over the coming weeks. No wonder, haha! Everything will be new to me, and I'll have to get accustomed to my new surroundings, decorate a bit and all...;-)

I'm not holding my breath either way. Things weren't so bad the last time she was Rx, so I think it'll be okay...maybe.

oh dear, this is going to be interesting to me. it happens to be right around the time i finally go back to where i normally live after almost a year of visiting my family to sort out material/emotional/spiritual things around here. the rx Venus will be in my 4th house, conjunct my Moon.

whether it actually have any significant effect or not, it feels right that this happens where it does on my chart!

This will be practically in my 3rd house, though it turns retrograde about 2 degrees from my IC. I wonder what it will do...... I remember the last retro it didn't do much either and the retro before that was the same story.

*edit* Ah, I just read an article about people's experiences during Venus retros and one about a friend with venus in gemini/12th who didn't feel loved/appreciated during the Gemini retro period in 2004. That struck me because I remember not feeling attractive enough during that period and being hyper-obsessed with my looks (my venus is in the 5th).

*edit again* More epiphinies: is Venus being in her shadow period of any effect now? I just realized that one of the few people I've befriended in this town really isn't the person I thought they were. They claimed to be a No-Drama type person but now they're mad at me and I have NO idea why. Okay, I can think of the reason but its not something you cut someone out over. They fact that they never addressed their feelings over this 'issue' to my face instead of most likely talking about this behind my back is what has made me mad and not care about making amends with them. I wonder what shall happen when venus comes back over this spot. O__o

If you are decorating, or doing anything related to beauty, take care as Venus will be in the shadow period beginning Monday. Anything done during this time will likely need to be re-done once Venus stations direct at this degree on 4/18.

Pay particular attention to anything started recently, as the new Moon shined on Venus during the last week. Once Venus shifts to being a morning star in spring, things will begin to take form.

I am thinking that, for me, this Venus period will involve a lovely lady that I have been romancing for almost 3 seasons, and whom I met during the last Venus retro period in summer of 2007.

ALOOF OBSESSION: Did I get that hint right: You're saying that what is happening "right now", according to Venus, will not be stable/lasting? But needs to be remodelled afterwards? Hm. Since everything is "between two cities" these days for me anyway (move will take place around the 10th of Feb) ... that is not too frightening, because I am expecting a certain "accomodation"-phase anyway, starting at "zero" in a freshly painted, currently unfurnished appartment anyway...;-)

Concerning that love thing: In Summer 2007 a long distance love affair started for me - which ended in tears and hurt and grief last April. Just these days (due to Mercury rx, maybe?) this Ex-Bf had contacted me again, totally to my surprise,. about 3 weeks ago. I just "deleted" his access to my Mailbox 3 days ago (speaking about E-Mail-functions and stuff). Actually, Venus just now is exactly opposing his Venus ... just as it must have in summe 2007 as well...?

UGH. I think she's going to be right on my moon in the 12th. I've been having problems with a moron I met back in 2007 who I later dated for about 5 minutes in 2008, and who I now CANNOT STAND.
It figures, because I've been having problems with getting a personal item back from him lately and he's trying to play a miserable little game.

Alvarella, I think this fits. The Lunar eclipse on the 10th (check your chart and midpoints) brings to a conclusion the "move" phase, and I expect you'll be decorating and RE-decorating for the next several weeks.

Venus will be conjunct my Ascendent. Cafeastrology says this about a forward moving Venus conjuncting an Ascendent:

quote:
Venus conjunct Ascendant

Personal magnetism at a high!
Today you exude personal magnetism; you express your love and affection to others easily, and they do to you. The focus is on one-to-one relationships. You are magnetic and attractive--more than usual--and it's a good time to get noticed. Others more openly express their affection for you right now. At this time you come across in an appealing, charming, openly affectionate manner that is likely to win you new friends and admirers. You make an excellent first impression now. This is a very favorable time for doing something to enhance your appearance, such as getting a hair cut or purchasing new clothing.

alvarella777, Aloof_Obsession, anything that gets started during this period will not be permanent??? man if that's like that, that BLOWS! i'm supposed to work out paperworks relating to the place i move back to. hope it's nothing too serious. and the re-modeling pattern will do it right at least

LECHIEN, I guess that's what ALOOF OBSESSION was alluding. But I bet he/she didn't want to scare anybody. In fact: I am just not willing to let myself be "scared" by ANY transit!;-) After all, there's a real, very concrete life on earth - and sometimes ... I rather decide to just ignore the astrological thing, shrug my shoulders and go on anyway ...;-)

With me, for instance: I just looked at the transits over my chart during the next lunar/eclipse (full moon) next week 9/10th feb. Being a Cancer-Sun full moons are said to strike me strongly. And the transits for that specific day are NOT AT ALL good!!! Sun and Monn will be squaring my Saturn (in my natal 6th), Mars will oppose my Mercury, Venus will oppose my Uranus!!! Not at all a good date for a house move from one town to another - right?

BUT: At the same time tr. Mercury will trine my Pluto, and tr. Saturn will trine my Saturn and tr.Uranus will sextile my Saturn ...

So I just decided to expect a rough/stressful day with many little annoyances ... but also that the final outcome of this will be fine.

After all: That date is fixed anyway! No alternative possible!!!! Sometimes real life dictates the schedule - one cannot help that anway;-)

alvarella777, you have a good point... i shouldn't get carried away. maybe there are other good transit that neutralize it. anyway if i didn't know of the Venus rx thing, i probably wouldn't have noticed anything anyway...!

Alvarella, those transits sound like a typical "moving day". Your description of expectations sounds exactly like each time I have moved. I am sure all will be fine.

Venus retro simply means we will revisit matters related to Venus, i.e. beauty, affection, etc. It does not mean that anything you are doing right now is worthless, but where Venus is at right now will be the starting point of "re-doing" these matters.

cool, Aloof_Obsession. in fact, if you put it that way, it comfortably explains what it will be like when i go back to my town. i'll have a re-newed sense of confidence among old friends, and i'll have boys back in life! (tee hee)

second thought... did i get that right? in the area where transiting Venus is, that is the area we re-do/re-work it? i think that's a nice theory.
