Has anyone been stuck in a rut as far as having a love is concerned? And what do you think caused you to get out of the rut, if you're not in one anymore? Note any transits you think may have been the culprit.

Oh yes. Saturn conjunct Sun. I am also not interested in temporary relationships so it's bad for dating...I feel like I am sizing up people more quickly and getting rid of them before I have to suffer any long-term grief. It's making me unusually hyper critical.

Being in a rut can also make you bitter!

Yeah but ruts are also temporary...I hope

I'm trying to let Saturn do the driving since he insists on taking the drivers seat. For a long time I ignored my intuition in love and it backfired on me very, very badly. Now it's as though Saturn won't let me ignore it, so in a way I am grateful, even though it's difficult.

I know what Saturn conjunct Sun feels like, since a few years ago Saturn was in Leo, ouch, that wasn't fun. At least Saturn/Virgo mesh better together than Saturn in Leo.

I feel like I'm stuck in a rut with love, but it's one filled with guys who aren't worth my time. Lately I've only been attracting completely self-absorbed guys who flat out tell me that they just want sex. At least they're up front about it. However, I actually want to date someone. It doesn't have to be "the one," it just has to be someone decent that I can have a light-hearted dating relationship with.

I think it is due to the fact that transiting Pluto is trining my Venus and Sun. It's making me magnetic. I also seem to be attracting some very controlling guys.

At this point, I'm just giving up for awhile.

Yeah Enchantress plus you have Scorpio rising, double whammy of Pluto!

I have difficulties showing that I'm interested in someone. The worst part is I get hung up on someone after the matter. But I need to keep telling myself too stop worrying, I know I'm admired by others, I'm just sick of my lack of experience and the fact that I come off as just wanting to be a friend to someone and nothing more. I blame my Gemini Venus for not being much of a seducer lol!

ENCHANTRESS, I am expecting tr. Pluto trining my natal Venus from the end of this year onwards, lasting way into 2011 - and I am looking soooo forward to it. I guess, this is really kind of a privileged aspect to experience, not many people will have that in the right age (as an adult) or ever at all. You are saying that it makes you rather ... somber and critical though? Would you mind telling a bit more about the effects? For how long has this transit been in the working now, on your own chart? Maybe this is just the "first phase" ...?

HEARTCAKES: Pluto conjuncting your natal Venus sounds great! I hope the trine will have a similar effect on me then. ;-)

And as far as SATURN in concerned ... Tr. Saturn was conjunct my Venus for most of 2007 and during the first half of 2008. After 3.5 years of being a more or less happy singleton I fell deeply for a man, when that Saturn-transit started - at the same time I was confronted with many confusion from this one, also had to face my own fears and potential of dissappointment in love ... And: I GOT very disappointed, indeed! In fact the whole relationship started and lasted while tr. Saturn was conjuncting my Venus. So I am rating this as an important ("karmic") lesson in love. After all I decided to leave that relationship after about a year. All was very intense ... some "righteous" feel on both sides. Actually, it took a while to recover from that hearbreaking experience. It was very hurting! But - as a very close real life female friend just lately told me: "Girl, I'm proud of you - You know how to take care of yourself and how to protect yourself." I strongly believe that Saturn, by putting a critical damper on that intense love story, taught me a valuable lesson (maybe some kind of last minute lesson). Natally, I have my Venus squaring my Neptune ... tend to idealize too much and too quickly... Now I know what I CANNOT accept in love, though.;-) And so ... hopefully I am prepared for Pluto trining my Venus (and sextiling my Juno at the same time!) in about a year to come ...;-)

Saturn has been indecisively going back and forth around the place where it squares my AC, Neptune, Venus and Sun for some time now and it will continue to hang around in the area till later this year. oh it's been what i shall call a rut, yea...

there's no love. no opportunities. and i've quietly been trying to heal my broken heart in the mean time. it's cold...!

I feel for you lechien! Tr. Venus is squaring my Saturn, and Tr. Saturn is squaring Venus, so double whammy of squares! In april I'll have Tr. Uranus square Venus, I'm a little worried about that one, since it will trigger my Venus opposition Uranus and Venus opposition Saturn natal aspects.

i have t saturn quincunx venus, trine mars and conjunct pluto ALL exact at moment.

I'm covered in men and grilling the crap out of them telling them exactly what i want and expect lol

I'm finding that the older l get the more the rut and yet also the more l know what l will/won't tolerate.
Most men run for the hills leaving the Aquarian men drooling for more

I've been in a romantic rut for two years now. Worried it has nohing to do with transits, that it's just my life now.

well, i did have my saturn return this summer as well. those transits working simultaneously seemed to really get me CLEAR on what is good for me and what i don't need (saturn in virgo, and the purging effect of pluto).

i think any pluto-venus transit is gonna have a similar effect. and the two years were really hard, i must say. i had a a series of huge crushes (and i rarely get crushes) and lots of people had intense crushes on me. made for a lot of introspection and figuring out what is REAL behind all that. i didn't find (and wasn't ready for) this amazing guy until pluto had been separating from venus at almost 4 degrees. but i'm quite sure the transit made it possible for me to even know what i want and need, in love.

I'm starting to understand my rut a little better. I think I'm starting to lean towards the other side if you know what I mean.

missneptune, that's right, thank you for reminding me, i forgot that i have t. Uranus square my Venus RIGHT NOW too!.

as for Pluto, it's finally at the last stop of my Stellium of AC, Neptune, Venus, Sun and lastly Mercury. I did go through a transformation in many ways especially in the last 5 years, and it has been really hard times... but as heart cakes say, i learned a lot about what i need and don't need, in love and other areas.
