After all thís talk about soulmates and twinsouls, suddenly a question rushed through my mind:

"WHAT IS A SOULMATE?"

And I made a horary on this.

Now I don`t know how significant that is, but I thought it was very interesting; the ASC in the relationship-sign Libra alone. lol

Don't know much about Horary, but my definition of a soulmate is that it is tantamount to a tax bill. It won't go away, it makes you miserable as heck, and it sucks the very lifeblood out of you until there is nothing left, and they don't care.

DD

Look at the chart:

Eros is cj Psyche
Juno is cj Jupiter
Siva is opose Kaali

just on these-note the feminine/masculine pairings of the Myths combined

I WONDER The placements of the other pairs when you asked the question..

DD

You introduce us to Proserpine/Persephone-Pluto aspects and their relevance to soulmates, and you don't include them in this chart?

Aloof_Obsession,

BWAAAAAAH HA HA HA HA HA HA HA!!!!!

Aaaaaahhh...the truth is soooo beautiful in it's simplicity, is it not?

When I look at this chart without having to go to the asteroids, the first thing I see is Pluto square Venus - obsession about love. Venus is in Aries which suggests the Amazon Flirt. Your soulmate makes you want to flirt violently (LOL!!) and most of the time Pluto square Venus is unrequited love. How often that is true with soulmates. People want the ideal with a soulmate and rarely get it.

I see Uranus square Moon, to me that suggests that your soulmate makes you feel insane. Mine did. I don't wanna see another soulmate come down the pike. If I see one coming, I'll shoot it!! After all, a deep truth that people don't want to look at is that soulmates kill each other every day. You might say it's karma or whatever, but it's true. Not all soulmates are romantic, but they ARE soulmates.

I see Saturn opposite Uranus - BREAK UPS!! Aggravated break ups, plain and simple.

Do I sound bitter? Maybe just a tad.

Heehee, Geo!

DD, I like the question also!!

I heard somewhere though that the horary is extremely personal in its answers, so I'm wondering if the definition of soul mate is specifically custom made for you in its answer...
Sun trine moon is very good since the moon is always important in horary, and after that you get a nice trine from moon to Jupiter.
You're Venus in this, and she's in the 6th....makes me wonder if the concept of soul mate might be equated with care-taking in a way, to help one another out in a lifetime.

I wondered the same thing.

EDIT: If that is the case, then perhaps these aspects are what DD specifically needs to be looking for in aspect with her soulmate/s?

Watch everyone else make a horary chart for their soulmate now.

Not only that, DD, disregard my bitter tirade. It doesn't count anyway. You don't use Pluto and Uranus in horary, so take mine as joke. But I agree with MVM and PeaceAngel, it is an answer specifically designed for you.

Ah, I see. I'm going to assume that DD knew that - and that takes care of my question about Pluto-Proserpine/Persephone.

So, I take it all the "generational" planets are removed from horary?

PA,

Pluto is exactly semisextile Persephone. A minor aspect, but still interesting.

Jeez, what day was yeasterday!

I am going to got back to you all with my reply, and yes, I definitely think this is (most probably) an answer for me, what a soulmate is to me personally at this point in my life.
This of course could change with time.

Diandra,

I also thought the mascuiline / feminine pairing was interesting:

- Sun widely trine Moon
the ASC also falls onto the Sun-Moon-mp

- Venus sextile Mars (which also is a sextile between ASC-ruler to DSC-ruler)

- Siva opposite Kaali

- Eros widely conjunct Psyche (4)

- Juno conjunct Jupiter

- (Pluto semisextile Persephone and novile Proserpina)

- (Aphrodite exactly conjunct Venus) sextile Mars

- Adonis trine Inannen

- Lancelot trine Guinevere

DD

So do you think the aspects that are shown here are the aspects that you will share with your soulmate? So, Siva opposite Kaali, Eros conjunct Psyche, Jupiter conjunct Pluto, etc are all aspects will be in either the synatry or composite with your other?

Idon`t know, PA.

I guess what it probably shows that to me the idea of a soulmate is tightly connected to a merging of feminine and masculine principle, mostly in a harmonious way (no squares!).

Also the ASC on the midpoint of Sun and Moon seems to hint at that; the very nature (ASC) of my idea of soulmate (the question) is a merging of male and female (Sun/Moon-mp).

But yes, I have noticed that often there are those aspects in my synastries (not necessarily the same aspect, but the same pairs).

I also noticed many planets in the 4th house - I guess that means my soulmate-connection is about home, a sense of belonging. This is even further emphasised as Cancer is on the MC. The purpose of this is Cancerian, about family, home, caring, nurturing. Moon is in Gemini in 9th or 8th house - the deeper purpose is transformation, which is being spread or will expand my horizon.
This chart also relates to my own chart and Draconics in interesting ways.

Also, if Ia m the ASC, Iguess the soulmate (as a principle) is on the DSC- you knowhow much I have always been to Aries Sun, Moon or ASC!
AND the DSC isc onjunct my DRaco Sun.lol

Geo,

I know, traditionally you wouldn`t look at Uranus, Neptune and Pluto, but I have actually seen horary astrologers, who do.
I disagree slightly on the Venus-Pluto, it`s not always one sided, it`s one possibility, yes, but not the only one, even though it seems it is always unbalanced.
However, I thought it was interesting that I have natally a Venus-Pluto-square, too.

Also, in that horary the ruler of 4th house is in 12th house, and the ruler of 12th house is in 4th house, both forming a trine.
And natally I have the ruler of 4th house in the 12th house, and both rulers are sextile.
So this chart does reflect me somehow.

I wouldn`t count the Moon-uranus-square (even though it would fit my Aquarius-Moon nicely ).

However, the Saturn-uranus-opposition seems to hint at those breakups. Definitely.

But in a slightly different sense, it also means the need to integrate the new into the old and the difficulties coming with it.
It`s the old doubt: Shall I stay or shall I go?

MVM,

well, Venus in the 6th house, makes me think of the the need to adjust spiritual or idealistic views with the real world of every day life (who is cleaning the dishest today?). The 6th house is also the house where we express our feelings, but not in a selfish unreflected way, but such, that we take the reaction of others into account.
