I have really no desire to go out, socialise etc.
Anyone else? What is your take on this transit?

On the other hand...
Might it be that it's simply the dead of winter, and my 3 closest friends have moved far away? (uranus is also transiting my 11th house right now).

I've got Uranus in my 11th too, opposing my sun, and Saturn conjunct my Sun until AUGUST (5th house as well!!!!)
I dunno. It's a drag, but I'm getting bored of struggling too....

It is depressing tho. Most of my friends are in different places and in general Saturn is just kind of annoying. I can't tell how he is retro right now. Just feels like Saturn to me, though lately it's felt a little more free, and I'm wondering if it's me getting used to the transit?

Try and remember, though I know it's hard ...Saturn won't be in the 5th forever, and it won't be winter for much longer

yeah, i've realized it's just saturn doing his thing. It's kind of a drag, but I'm just going with the flow, you know? The thing is, it's not REALLY bothering me cause I know what's up. Uranus is also sextiling my moon exactly which is really contributing to my natal insomnia haha (natal uranus squaring moon and opposing mercury) so i'm not sleeping easily and spending more time on the internet (which i'd rather be doing than being out trying to be social).

Saturn left my 5th house recently. It was in my 5th house for about 2 years. My 5th house has a Venus, Uranus and Pluto stellium. I've had 3 challenges hit me all at once during this time:

The last 2.5 years have been very challenging in my relationship. There was a problem that surfaced about 6 months ago, which gave me all the answers as to why my partner was going through a difficult time. Luckily, we found out then, as I was contemplating leaving.

Now, our future is looking brighter and my partner has been experiencing a lot of good luck lately in the career arena.

I had also been under a lot of pressure in my job as I had challenging caseloads (I work with children). Policies changed, and staffing was cut which increased our workload and stress levels.

In the turbulent chaos, a situation arose which felt too good to be true. It felt like a watery mirage in a desert. It left me feeling captivated and could have easily distracted me from the real issues that were happening in my life. In other words, it may have been Fool's Gold. Luckily, I kept on my humble path and suffered my partner until they were over their medical issues.

I felt challenged by forces I had no control of, but had to stay and face the music. It wore me down. But I wasn't going to run away. I felt like I was witness to my own 'rough patch' and I had to be adult enough to stand tall, and let all the chaos find its own way.

Saturn left my 5th house 2 months ago. In that time, I've had a holiday, been given a dream caseload at work and my partner and I are back to being great friends again!!

Saturn is the Taskmaster. He makes us work hard by giving us harsh challenges to serve as a purpose to grow. What is not meant to be falls away like dead leaves (in my opinion, of course).

Uranus was also in opposition to Saturn. That could have confounded my situation. Is Saturn in aspect to your Uranus?

You say 3 of your firends have left. In this last year, significant relationships have changed for me, too. In a spooky kind of way, this seems connected to my partner's past medical issue. It was like Destiny sifted out people that were not meant to be in my life, and my partner is definitely meant to be around. (Can you hear Twilight Zone music?) That is exactly how my life has been over those 2.5 years - Really weird!!!

Good luck!!

Hey Koi! I'm glad to hear you've reaped positive rewards from Saturn's presence
And that you survived a tumultuous time....but I'm think it's probably made your relationship stronger? Going thru all that Saturn stuff is no fun....
I had a really weird thought about the old codger the other day: Let him drive.
He's in my 5th and screwing with love life, but somehow, he's also making me *trust* myself too....he won't let me ignore my intuition, and for that I am growing more and more grateful, because I feel like I actually don't have to work so hard to trust it, since it seems like it's all about trusting it right now....that's why I'm letting Saturn 'drive'. He seems to know where he's going, and I think he's just forcing me to observe, that seems to be the message.

Gemlike...hehe, so you've got Uranus square Moon natally? I have the opposition and yeah, it does make for some mean insomnia LOL

Yeah, I've got Pluto and Uranus and Venus AND Mercury in the 6th...a stellium for the old codger to mess with next. But I do have Saturn square Pluto natally, and Saturn square Mercury.....so I wonder if you have the aspects in the charts it becomes less dreaded or something...dear god. I hope

Excellent attitude, MVM!! No matter what, it will all be okay in the end - in fact, it could be better

Diandra, I totally know what you are talking about. My natal saturn is in my 12th house and it has contributed to me wanting to know myself very deeply. But my sun is in my 12th and natal moon in the 8th too. Saturn in 12th may mean serious about your subconscious?

yes.

as 12h is about spirituality, our past life and skeletons in the closet, secrets ...

i guess saturn there makes us willing to find out all that is burried into our subcounscious.

it is difficult yes,but in the end leads us to our better understanding of our own Humanity.

this sucks a bit. Saturn is in my 5th house, conjunct my natal Saturn... yes I am 29... this is indeed a very strange time for me in many ways...

what I feel most (and I'm not even sure it's bc the Saturn but it might be) is a strange sense of being floating above it all, I'm at a distance to my own life... I can see patterns, the bigger picture of things, fated meeting, meanings... I think about what life is about, who I am, where I'm going... And with this perspective the details doesn't matter.. so I have a hard time focusing at my job, because I don't feel it matter anyway!
I'm feeling spiritual.. melancholy.. I don't know..

It's all very weird..

10th, m'love. I'm too busy trying to get a job again after being laid-off by one of those not-so-well-meaning huge corporations looking to save a buck.

Natally, Saturn opposes my venus in 5th. So I know a little something about this sort of energy. It's the suck. You might feel lonely and jilted and...treading water for a while. Sometimes, that's just the way things are. Make the best of the time that you can.
