Salamanders weren´t all too often seen, where I grew up.

And yet I repeatedly stumbled across them. Especially fire-salamanders.

The other two animals I seem to draw to myself are cats and butterflies.
Butterflies would always sit down on my head, glasses, hair, shoulder, arm, and not go away.
And whenever, as a child, I found a dead or dying butterfly, I would give them an "official" funeral, saying my prayers to them and really mourn them.

And funny, years later a friend of mine gave me the nickname: Farfalla, butterfly. lol

My Sun's at 5 Cap, so I'd like to know 6 Cap. Oh, and for 26T and my Moons, 30 degrees Virgo would be nice.

I think PA's probably right about doing the animal for the degree after since they number to 30, so here are mine:

Ascendant:
3 gem skylark

I mean:

This lark breeds across most of Europe and Asia and in the mountains of north Africa.

Ahhhh...that's why I don't have children. I'll have to move.

It is a bird of open farmland and heath, known throughout its range for the song of the male, which is delivered in hovering flight from heights of 50 to 100 m, when the singing bird may appear as just a dot in the sky from the ground. The song generally lasts 2 to 3 minutes, but it tends to last longer later in the season. The male has broader wings than the female. This adaptation for more efficient hovering flight may have evolved because of female Skylarks' preference for males that sing and hover for longer periods and so demonstrate that they are likely to have good overall fitness.

Wow! That's pretty fascinating.

Like most other larks, the Skylark is a rather dull-looking species on the ground, being mainly brown above and paler below.

Stealthy. You don't see me, but I see you.

The Skylark makes a grass nest on the ground, hidden amongst vegetation. It is sometimes found nesting in bracken, using it for cover. Generally the nests are very difficult to find. 3 to 6 eggs are laid in June.

June. How appropriate.

A collective noun for Skylarks is an "exaltation". Although the OED describes this usage as "fanciful", it traces it back to a quotation from John Lydgate dating from about 1430. The verb "skylark", originally used by sailors, means "play tricks or practical jokes; indulge in horseplay, frolic". The verb and noun "lark", with similar meaning, may be related to "skylark" or to the dialect word "laik" (New Shorter OED).

Cool.

The song Alouette is a song about the plucking of a Skylark. Alouette is the French word for Skylark.

French b@stards!

i'm also an Eft at 8 Sag then! when people talk about "hey what animal do you think i am or you are" sort of thing, i could never really come up with one and neither the others when it came to me. now it makes sense, i'm no fluffy bunny or friendly doggy or birds, whatever, i'm a salamander... they are cute and weird! i love that.

hey peri, could you look up 20.22 Aquarius and 7.50 Capricorn too? this is cute and fun! thank you!
