My Secondary Ascendant is Capricorn, and my wife's Ascendant is Capricorn.
Yes, we both do have to work a lot harder than the average couple but we find that the fruits last for a longer time. It all works out fairly in the end.

Hmm, I have a mixture of cap ASC and a lazy venusian stellium. No matter how hard I work I still think I'm lazy.. lol. And I hardly think I work hard enough at all.

a friend with Capricorn rising, he seems to be having a hard time achieving these things, and he's finally given up, it seems. he's kind of a professional pessimist but he's funny.

I have this placement...I don't feel like I have to work harder than other people. It feels like the Cap Rising confers discipline--I find it easier than many people I know to manage my time and money, and to get things done.

it probably features differently what aspects it receives from other planets in each person's chart. the friend i mentioned above has no sense of organizational skills and just gets pressures to deal with all the challenges in his life. some people deal with the challenges better and some don't? of course i don't know if Cap risings have really harder times, i only know this one example and it seems to fit with this person.

Sometimes but they say it gets easier later on in life because you did all that was neccesary and all that hardwork earlier in life to benefit the sweet rewards of your hard earned fruits.

I too have a Capricorn rising and yes I do feel I have to work harder than everyone else but that's only because I have a rather low self-esteem(I blame my cancer sun). The funny part about capricorn rising is that it makes one seem very competent and knowledgeable, responsible and dependable

Yeah, I have cap rising and I have to work very hard for everything. I had to work so hard to survive my childhood and I'm 23 now. Everything is still tough, though life is not as bad as it was when I was a kid. Many of my friends really miss being kids and found the transition to adulthood to be especially challenging. However, I found the transition to be very smooth and adulthood is much easier than childhood for me at least. So I guess that's one benefit of cappie rising.

Listen guys:-).
My much older brother has Capricorn rising and my gradfrather too and let me tell you something...for many or all Cap risings life is harder in the begining, probably until 30 and life is more enjoyable after 30. I don't know why but I have seen this.
My grandfather hada a tough upbringing. Started to work at age 10. To make a long story short around 30 went to college, made a career...now he travels all over. He feels he really started to enjoy life after his 30s. So this rising sign is a good thing.
Capricorn is ruled by Saturn, planet of delays.

Even though I became disabled at age 33, I am happier now at age 54 despite my physical limitations.

Yep, my life improved a ton after 30.

Also, I relate to that stuff about not enjoying being a kid...I felt relatively trapped and condescended to...I'm more of a kid now.
