this aspect has been talked about, and is usually not considered sexual?

well, iv found that if my venus conjuncts some ones sun, more than half a chance i'll find them physically attractive. however, when iv been the sun person, i haven't allways particularly found the venus physically pulling me in.

has anyone had this aspect as the sun person, and not found the venus particularly attractive? but have found the sun person attractive when they are the venus?

i don't understand why this aspect wouldn't contain anything physical, the sun is a masculine sign/planet like mars?

Libralove in nearly every case I've seen it's the Venus person who is attracted to the Sun person and the Sun accomodates this. But it's the person who's Venus aspects the other's Sun who falls hard. The other appreciates this compliment and feels attracted to the attraction though not necessarily to the Venus person.

very accurate description by you Quinnie (i like that name.. Lol)

but from what i know, alot of people or astrologers, claim this aspect isn't anything sexual or physical, more of just a romance thing.

well, yes its very much so a romance thing, but i have definitely found alot of people who are the sun, very attractive physically!

how is venus placed in your chart libralove?

is it prominent, is it ruler of 8th house, is venus in 8th house? is it yr chart ruler?

maybe depending on the importance of venus in yr natal chart you find sun conjucting it powerful or attractive

I agree Libralove I think it's physical/sexual attraction that can signify a loving relationship. The Venus person finds the Sun EXTREMELY attractive and beautiful but the Sun person doesn't always want to develop it, maybe sees the person as having an infatuation on them.
Thats just in my experience, it has worked every time for me.
I have Venus in Virgo, love the Virgo men but they don't reciprocate usually.

yeh, well, my 2 scents, i found a girl very physically attractive, my at the same time, my concsious mind knew she wasn't good looking atall, (had cute facial features though) or atleast to me.. lol that damn cupid.

yeh, i agree with it about being the venus, although, it varies, most the time i do find the sun very physically attractive, but its not allways been 100% guarantee. i'd say about, 6 or 7 times out of 10, i'll fall for them!

my venus is very hard aspected, its in the 3rd, so i like mercurial traits. its in libra, domicile, so its somewhat prominent sign wise, but its aspects are all hard.

interesting thing is though, if this is the case, is, or why is it not, the case for mars-venus? how comes they seem to allways be mutual.

i tell you one thing, the most under rated physical attraction aspect, is sun-pluto. im telling you! atleast for a man anyway.

do you think sun - trine - venus, is allmost as powerfull as the conjunction?

sun moon midpoint is 17 39' gemini.

mars venus midpoint is 21 28' virgo.

lol quite interesting to notice that, my venus is in the 3rd house = want mercurial traits. my venus mars midpoint is in a domicile sign for mercury, and the midpoint conjuncts my mercury [1 degree orb].

so does this mean i need some one with 10 gemini planets? or virgo?

whats the sun moon midpoint interpretation?

You've picked up on my favourite topic. I'm always interested in how sun conjunct venus plays out in synastry. Mainly because there are so many contradicting opinions out there who feels it - sun or venus. I think it makes sense that your venus is attracted to the sun, physically and not just create loving feeling. Venus is generally about what you find beautiful and for men doubly so because venus in a man's chart is also supposed to signify what he finds physically attractive in a woman (moon in terms of personality).

This is what I found on the web, the site doesnt say who wrote it. I think it was Carole Willis because i remember reading this statement years ago and completly agreeing with it, and how she differentiates that it will be the mans moon or venus in aspect to the woman'S sun or mars etc. He is what she says:
"In my observation, the most powerful cross-aspects in love relationships are the man's Moon or Venus conjunct or oppose the woman's Sun, Mars, ascendant or ruler of the ascendant; and correspondingly, the woman's Sun or Mars oppose or conjunct the man's Moon, Venus, ascendant or ruler of the ascendant."

so annaf, you think sun mars is more attractive for the woman, and sun venus being more attractive for the man.

whats your experience been like when you have been the venus on the mans sun?

hmmm
sun/moon mp is v critical sensitive point and so is venus/mars

now as you noticed bith of these are in mercurial planets...
now see people who you feel attracted to makes conjuct, opp or sqaure with these...
also does yr natal venus make any of the above mentioned aspects with these points?

Woah, this is positively appalling information. I checked mine and

Man's moon conjunct my mars
Man's venus conjunct my sun
Man's venus conjunct my ASC ruler

My sun conjuncts his venus
My mars conjuncts his moon
My mars conjunct his ASC ruler.
_________________________________________

With regards to sun conjunct venus, I'm not sure if it can go the other way.. but it doesn't seem to work for a woman's mars conjunct a man's sun, though. The men signified by my mars are a bit too overpowering for me. Mars (general) fighting with Sun (also general).. Venus-sun or venus-moon works.. not mars-sun.

"i don't understand why this aspect wouldn't contain anything physical, the sun is a masculine sign/planet like mars?"

I take it to mean loving (venus) the essence (Sun), or the personality (sun) of the person. Conversely, adoring (sun) or relating to (sun) the beauty (venus) and affection (venus) of the person. I don't see it as a sexual bond.. Venus in itself is not erotic.. neither is the sun. Mars is, and so is Pluto.

Libralove,

"so annaf, you think sun mars is more attractive for the woman, and sun venus being more attractive for the man.
whats your experience been like when you have been the venus on the mans sun?"

No I dont mean sun-mars is more attractive for a woman.
I think:
Moon(man) conj/opp Mars(woman) and
Sun (woman) conj/opp Venus(man) and
Venus (man) conj/opp Mars (woman) and
Sun (woman) conj/opp Moon (man)
are the combinations she is referring to and I can agree from my own experience that these combinations are particualrly attractive. And then of course all the house ruler combinations she's referring to as well.

So from my experience my biggest attraction has been with someone where HIS venus conjuncted MY sun AND also MY mars opposed HIS Moon.

Interestingly I think it makes a difference in terms of attraction depending on whose palnet it is. For instance when it is MY moon and the man's mars I dont react. And coming back to your question, when it is MY venus and their sund, I definitely find them very attractive and I also like them. (This is not surprising, my venus is at the end of my 7th house, so s.o's sun conjuncting it usually falls in my 7th or 8th house.) But I would say, I'm more attracted if is is the man's venus on my sun. Libralove, unfortunately I dont think I'm a good example to test the theory on, because both my sun AND my venus fall in my 7th house. So someone's sun on my venus will hit my 7th and someone's venus on my sun will also put it straight in my 7th house......so any of these combinations will make me look at them as romantic potential...but it's not clear whether it is the because of the planets aspects or whether it is because of the 7th house overlay.

Edit, got some of the combinations wrong ,fixed it now ...still sleepy apparently

Well i've found that its more of a really close bond, that might signal a sexual attraction.

But the attraction is there.

I've had this aspect with a lot of Aquarians that i'm really good freinds with.

Surprisingly my venus happens to conjunct someone's sun. I didn't find him physically attractive - though i find him likeable ... he was drawn to me a lot ... and he intentionally involve a lot of heavy touching whenever we talk and maintain an outstanding eye contact ... whenever I pass he turns his head ...

Maybe his venus conjunct my sun ... too bad I don't know his chart

When my Venus is conj their Sun - they find me physically attractive - in the way that a guy might want a 'trophy wife'. It's very superficial.. I don't feel valued by them on a deeper level. I do not find *them* physically attractive at ALL (not even a little bit, actually!)... but there is usually something about them I still like personality wise.. It seems like I could 'count' on them... like they would be there for me if I needed them to be. It isn't intense though. I could take it or leave it - romantically. This conjunction is in Taurus.

When my Sun is conj their Venus.. I do find them physically attractive. Some of the best looking guys I've met had their Venus in Aries on my Sun. However, I don't usually like their personality. They (on the other hand) seem fascinated by my personality, until they come across my Capricorn placements and that kills it. I find them childish and self-centered. Their looks don't mean much to me ultimately because I *simply* do not like them.

The most attractive aspect I have ever had in my life is their Mars in Scorpio opposite my Venus in Taurus. Nothing else compares.

My Venus conjunct My Bf's Sun tight here...he's not typically the type of guy I find physically attractive at all but he finds me very attractive.

We hit it off first with him being pulled in by my looks..then after that came everything else. For me, it was definitely not his looks, he's not handsome or cute like the other guys I've dated but he had a good personality.

interesting. i'm going to have to agree. the two guys i know who have their suns cj my venus (diff signs, but tight orb) are both sort of obsessively attracted to me and think we belong together but yet it all seems very superficial. both are good friends that i do find *somewhat* attractive, like pleasant to look at, but am not nearly as attracted to them as they are to me. it's like this weird overly eager sort of vibe, too, that kind of puts me off. i do feel quite fond of them as people though and think they are both really sweet. i don't know anyone whose venus conjuncts my sun.

My Venus is pretty badly afflicted but even so, some of the closest ties and mutual attractions I've enjoyed have been with people whose Suns conjunct it.

There is FAR more to synastry than just sun and venus. You need to look at Asc signs, as THIS is the chemistry and attractionn factor that gets something - anything going..
