I have been thinking a lot about my son lately & been having some Psychic or Telepathic experience with him & about him So I thought I would look at his chart to see of there was any confirmation of my feelings.

The story thus far is; while on my way home from work I had a sudden thought that I should enroll my boy in acting classes. That threw me a little as I am not really in a financial position to facilitate this right now, so I dismissed the idea.

That night my son tells me he wants to be an actor like Daniel Radcliffe. This I found remarkable, but knowing how my son gets right into everything about movies ie; he watches the making of the films & interviews with the directors etc....Several times not just once & discusses it with me in great detail. (Boggles my mind because he is only 8 years old)

So the question is; Does he have the aspects to make something of it or is it just for entertainment purposes?

I notice that he has a grand trine linking his POF in Cancer to his Venus in Pisces & His Mars in Scorpio.

I appreciate any help you can give cherub.

Bless you

Spunky,

your son has the exact same ascendant as I have. lol

However, I`m no expert in finding out if someone could be an actor, and I always think if he feels he should do it, it`s worth a try. Maybe not in a professional sense, but starting out at a local theatre group to see if it really is what he wants.

Anyway you asked for some astrological opinion:

Hmm, he has asteroid Actor in Leo in 10th house, which would be a great placement for an actor, the sign of the dramatic in the house of career.
But his ACTOR is retograde and it is exactly square retograde Saturn in 6th house, which rules the 2nd house. I actually doubt he could earn much money with acting.
On the other hand maybe this just signifies that there will be financial insecurities as it happens most of the times for actors (if they aren`t Julia Roberts or Tom Hanks for example).

His ACTOR also trines CHIRON and ABUNDANTIA exactly. This is more encouraging; CHIRON also conjuncts FELICITAS (bliss) and TYCHE (fate). The involvement of Chiron may signify that he feels this inclination to act to heal himself and probably get in touch with himself (Chiron, Felicitas and Tyche are in his 1st house).
Abundantia is in the 5th house - he has an abundance of creative potential and emotions I guess. Especially since it`s in Aries.

The ruler of the 5th house, Neptune, conjuncts DNA in the 3rd house - that probably shows that his creativity, which would be expressed in the house of communication and also media, is part of his genetic code. Also, Neptune represents the film-world. Since it`s in the 3rd house, maybe he would be more interested in doing something for TV than on stage?
On the other hand EUTERPE, the muse of acting, is in Pisces in 5th house, so stage could be attractive, too.

The other ruler of 5th house, Jupiter, is retograde, but absolutely exactly opposing Shakespeare in his 12th house.

The sabian of ACTOR is:
"A large camel is seen crossing a vast and forbidden desert"

I have no idea what that could mean though.

ROFL

quote:

Those Sabian Symbols crack me up every time DD.

Thank you for taking a look & for your answer.

I think in my son's case it would be a great outlet emotionally.

You should hear him when he has a shower!!! He enacts little plays every night...playing all the characters himself....I listen to him from my bedroom but I don't let him know that.

He is currently enrolled in art classes & made his first water colour last Monday...I think it's fabulous...

Of course I am completely & utterly biased

As far as making a career out of it well, I think if it's something that you love & enjoy then you should do it & the money will just have to be made elsewhere.

That picture is absolutely beautiful. He is only 8 years old, you say?

And yes, I have done that, too, inventing little plays, acting them out, not necessarily in the shower, mostly my poor brothere have been "abused" for my plays. Event hough if I remember some of them now, it was almost like I was acting out something I had already experienced instead of inventing something new.

But I have always "written" (most of the time in my head) stories, and the writing process is always the same; it`s like I see them develop like on a stage in front of me. And then I am only writing down what I am seeing.

I have sometimes participated in a play, too. Mostly in half-private surroundings; ah yes, those were the days.

That shows off your creativity in it's purest form DD!!!

Children already "know" what they want to be when they grow up but not intelligently....They just do it naturally I believe.

Remember the dream I told you that I had about you?

If it is your passion (and I believe it is) you will write a book someday & be published.

It means a great deal if I dream about a person, so keep that tucked away in your mind.

My desire is to write & astrology seems to back that up. I hope to learn the craft & write one day, however I think my direction is via the internet. I do not know what to focus upon though!!! I am so scattered because I love & am inspired by so many things that it's messy, know what I mean?

Spunky,

yes, I`m a writer, I have always been.

Not in the professional sense, it`s just what I am, you know?
My perception of the world around me, it`s one of a writer. I can`t explain it better. I don`t know if I`ll ever write a book (but i keep that dream of yours in my mind ), but I ahve actually some stories published over the net. Nothing big, just your ordinary (fan) fiction sites. Most of these stories still need a lot of work, but some are, well, I am actually a bit proud of them.

But my writing is always interlocked with staging, with theatre, and so on. I guess I may be the only one in my family who appreciates the beauty of a movie or theatre script.
The pure raw naked dialogue. No distractions by the descriptions (even though I do love those, too, as you can capture the mood so much in them, and I LOVE the methaporical use of language).

I guess this is the reason I love "Sleuth" so much. It`s not only for Jude`s participation, even though he has never been more amazing than in this one. He was simply breathtaking.
But this play about two men, fighting with each other, only with words (well, mostly, up until the end, which is of course more action oriented).
I really forgot to breathe, while watching it. I was completely mesmerized.
Harold Pinter was a genius, and Jude is one, too, cause he approached Pinter to write the scene-play for this one.

But for you, Spunky, what do you like in writing?
Have you ever looked at the relevant asteroids in your chart?

I think "Women's Health" is something I could focus on. Natural therapies & the like is a passion of mine.

Zala

My boy's painting doesn't have a name. He painted a Plesiosaur.....Dinosaurs are the theme of this term, but does remind me of Nessie too!

Well, that Ascl. conjunct Mercury in Scorpion in 8th house seems very significant to me. Mercury is the writer`s planet after all. So writing about health in a deep, probing, transformational way?

In a nutshell.....Yes I think you are right there DD.

I need to practice, practice, practice!!!!

I must say that I do enjoy talking about what everyone else considers "taboo"

Be it physical or mental, and I enjoy talking people through their "issues" & helping them to allow themselves to acknowledge the pain, then letting it go. I so hate seeing people suffer, I just want to set them free.....Think of the movie E.T. where elliot is high through symbiosis and setting all the frogs free!! That is me lol. I just want everyone to be free.
