It is. It is the reference point of all human astrology. Your natal chart is referenced from the place and time you were born on Earth.------------------ Virgo Asc 6˚& Mars 0˚ Gemini Sun 24˚ Libra Moon 14˚(conjunct Pluto 0˚ in 2nd house) Gemini Mercury 25˚ Cancer Venus 29˚ (Mutual reception with Moon) And yes, i'm a guy! I understand that we use the earth as a reference point but what I mean is why don't we look at what planet the earth was in when we do a chart?IP: Logged |

Earth can't be in any signs as all the signs are visible from Earth.Imagine there is a circle in the center of a room, with 12 colors painted on the walls of the room. if you were standing on one side of the room facing the circle, it would appear that the circle is in front of a certain colored wall. now, if you were standing on top of the circle, the circle wouldn't be in any color, and you would be able to see all the colors around you. get it? The signs we see are from Earth's point of view. If we were on Mars, Mars would not be in any sign, but the Earth would. On Astro there is an option to view your natal chart using the Sun as the reference place. This is the "Heliocentric" chart option. IP: Logged |
