Lately ive been preoccupied with this particular house, i've got my moon and pluto there (even tho its in the scorpio generation) and i wonder what that means in terms of marriage, relationships/partnerships as the 7th house rules that.
I know pluto transforms, meaning i transform and regenerate through relationships but does it also mean having pluto in there they'll inevitably be destroyed?

Also, having the moon in there...does that have something to do with my mum? I'm pretty sure it does, as the moon is the mother but what does that have to do with my 7th house?

Perhaps you just like nurturing relationships?

Pluto is fascinating. It doesn't necessarily destroy. It can wipe out to let through new growth. Sometimes we, or others, need a Plutonian push to make a change.

I also imagine that Pluto in the 7th could offer some strength in relationships - a strong energy holding the relationship fibres together. An energy to carve great depths into a heart of Love, to carry us into places only the adventurous, true and sincere would go.

I think Pluto and the Moon would work very well together. Pluto being a strong male energy and Moon being the receptive feminine. Do you form strong positive relationships with both men and women?

Hmm, it could be nice...and I agree with Koi
about Pluto. I don't know about the moon.

I have Pluto 7th house ruler, my ex had Pluto in the 7th - it can also do a lot of power struggles in relationships without knowing it consciously.
I've read somewhere that Pluto in relationship to the 7th tends to either try to take away power or give it away. For many years it was the latter for me. And to a certain extent the earlier part of trying to take it figures in too, because I was trying to take back the power.

I think Pluto in the 7th isn't content without things being a little bit challenging, and needs a growth-oriented relationship. It's got a lot to offer. Lots of truth, catharsis, intensity, transformation. Relationships rarely stay the same. It's never just status quo, it's always like pulsing and vibrating with new life. And I think if that's not fed then it's not so great...but if it is, then the sky's the limit.
The destruction is more like transformation, only when it's denied, I feel, does it become blatant destruction. But you're already aware enough to look and think about this, so I would think that makes you well ahead of the game.

Hi lunarxtc

I also have this placement myself Moon/Pluto in Scorpio in the 7H. The previous posters make very good points on this. The 7H also points to the sort of partners/relationships we attract..so watch out for those Pluto types also even though Pluto is generational if it acompanied by one or more planets in the natal it does become more important for the native to pay attention to. Pluto transits are highly important and obvious for me. I must say this placement is very tranformational and i would not trade my Scorpio Moon/Pluto for the world.

Nice thread as for me there is still some mystery with this placement.

Great book you could read called The Hades Moon by Judy Hall.

I will look through it to see if it has anything regarding Moon/Pluto in the Houses.

Also is your Moon/Pluto in conjunction?

yeah, nurturing r/s are nice and all but i was in one last year and i HATED it, i felt smothered and put up on a pedastal and just destroyed it in the most plutonian/mars like manner. It was a pathetic, annoying kind of smothering.

I do have positive r/s with men and women, i get along with both exceptionally well and have no problems interacting with either sex. In my family ive had more positive male figures (1st born girl in 30yrs, thank god i have a lot of feminine planets to counteract the tomboyishness), the only being 1 aunty, my mum and grandmothers. My positive female role models came from external sources.

Good insight

From "The Hades Moon" by Judy Hall

"Pluto in the 7TH House

When Pluto is placed in the 7TH house, relationships in the widest sense of the word are the challenge-and the growing place. Pluto makes itself felt in power strugles, in manipulative and dominant relationships, and in dependancy and addictive interaction. All the intensity and symbiosis of Pluto can be felt here, or isolation and alienation, depending on the sign and aspects to Pluto. This is the compulsive urge toward relationship, towards symbiosis with another person. The lesson is that, unless one is whole first, no true relationship is possible. For 7th house Pluto, transformation comes through a relationship that takes one deep inside oneself to meet the denizens of Pluto's realm, or in a relationship that ends in a plunge into Hades icy grasp.

This is the house of Karmic relationships, and Pluto's placement indicates a recurrence of old issues that must be faced and worked through. Manipulation is a common theme, as is that of conditional love, and of emotional control. So often the person with 7th house Pluto is frightened to let go. Due to past experiences, there is a compulsive need to "pull the strings" in a relationship. The lesson is that of equal partnership. This house is a point where it is possible to become stuck on the Karmic wheel, endlessly recreating the same old disasters. It takes courage to step of this wheel into the unknown, but Pluto can aid in the essential transformation.
When Pluto works positively in this house, it transforms relationships into a place for sould growth. It signifies a true meeting and sharing of being, of unconditional intimacy."

"Crucial transformation:Achieving emotional equilibrium within relationship. "

Your both welcome

You know i searched for book like hell for months and it's something that had to be ordered in because no stores stock it anymore so it takes 2-3 weeks. Now i have it i'm reading it ever so slowly. But it real deep stuff..very touching. The part about "..unless one is whole first no true relationship is possible.." rings a serious bell for me. As i believe its the upmost importance to find youself and be whole and true with yourself first and never depend on another person to complete you or fill the gap.

I feel too whole as I am, that's part of the problem LOL
Not as in perfect, but just as in, I have to give, give, give (I have Neptune in my 7th/8th as well, doesn't help)

hmm that Neptune energy! My chart ruler (Mars),N.N and Karma in 12H. Neptune is lord of my 12th which is also on my MC. The Karma placement confuses me abit..like a mixture of the beginings and endings.
