It's the only prediction that I can make for tonight's Oscar. Jupiter is closer to Frank Langella's Sun and it is just passed his Jupiter Return.Jupiter is moving toward Richard Jenkin's Sun by trine. Richard Jenkin's Sun is in Taurus. Frank Langella's Sun is in Capricorn, just edging out Brad Pitt who's Sun is in Sagittarius at 26 degrees, yes, the Galactic Center. Sean Penn is a Leo, but Jupiter doesn't feel close enough to make the opposition to his Sun viable. I could be wrong, but that's how I see it. As much as I would love to see Mickey Rourke (the underdog) win, he's in some loss energy as exhibited by the death of his dog, but maybe the dog used up that energy and he may win the Oscar. Jupiter rules Oscar. I think it will be Frank Langella and second I think it will be Richard Jenkins. OK, bye, gotta go watch the show. ------------------ "Everybody is a star!" Sean Penn, Congratulations!! I guess I was wrong about that Jupiter opposite Sun. Wow!!I saw him and he was great!! He really captured the real Harvey Milk. IP: Logged |

I have to say that I am a little disappointed by this choice. I felt like Pitt and LAngella put on far better performances. Ah, well . That's life I would've never predicted this outcome Did see the movie though. It was ok. But not as spectacular as Oscars made it out to be ------------------ sag sun, cap moon, sag mercury, aries mars, scorpio venus IP: Logged |

I saw "Milk," "Frost/Nixon," and "The Curious Case of Benjamin Button."I liked all three movies very much. I'm a big fan of the real Harvey Milk as a civil rights leader who also became a martyr. I think Sean Penn did a great job playing the part of Harvey Milk and actually, I think his part was more challenging, even aside from playing an actively "affectionate" homosexual male. I've seen Brad Pitt in more challenging roles, not to say he wasn't good in this one, he was, it just wasn't the vehicle for an Oscar. Frank Langella was excellent playing the part of Nixon, but I do still think that Sean Penn deserved it. I didn't see "Slumdog Millionaire" yet. IP: Logged |

Geo, I just think that the movie could've been a lot better. It had few great turning points. And I loved JAmes Franco. But I felt that there was something missing. And also the movie rode on the whole issue of proposition 8. Slumdog is a good movie. It's an intense story. You should definitely check it out when you have the time. It really describes a lifelong struggle. The success of it mostly rests on incredibly capable screen writers. but for me Fincher is a class for himself, and I think his job on the Curious case of Benjamin Button was unique. The shots, the storytelling... I've been in love with his directing for years. And I think it takes a very skillful actor to pull off the aging in reverse and not to make it.. well creepy From the nominees , the only movies I didn't watch were "THe reader" and "Doubt". I started watching doubt but that didn't go anywhere. I have a lot of issues with church as an institution. IP: Logged |
