Hi I am new here but have been lurking for awhile now. I enjoy the forum and find it very informative!

I know someone who has the same moon sign as me (Taurus) We have a wide conjunction of 11 degrees. It is the only planet we have, aside from the outer slower moving planets, that is in the same sign. I have read that having moon/moon conjunction would mean we both experience the same moods at the same time or possibly having an intuitive link with each other. If anybody has had this with another, is this true? What else does this aspect signify in synastry?

I guess I wonder if those interpretations would still be as strong in a wide conjunction like we have.
Any feedback would be greatly appreciated thanks!

What a great first post! Hi and welcome to LindaLand.

I have this aspect with a male friend of mine who has been what I consider a "best friend" since we were both in high school (a couple decades ago). He and I just accept each other unconditionally. We don't have any "emotional" talks (but then our conjunction by sign is in earth sign Capricorn) and we have a very boring and easy relationship for the most part. No emotional friction, just I'm ok/he's ok and if we get annoyed with each other due to outside circumstances (we never just argue over ideas or anything, but then, he is 3 parts earth and often just over-looks any fiery bursts from me and my airy nature just blows over him like a breeze) it fades to nothing after we are apart for a while.
I think our moons/emotional natures have no conflict and no real interaction because they just blend into one and "Are" with no reaction.
When we were teenagers what we did together was ride around in the car and play different music and just sit and soak it up together. I would chatter on as airy types with a little fire might do and he would just listen and make occasional apt observations or share well thought out opinions on the music or band. (He is a Taurus.)

I think that's all I can say but if I think of anything else, I'll be back!

When you are ready, don't forget to create a thread in Know Two Are Alike to introduce yourself and create a "home base" of sorts - and call it something cool like "The Rose Garden" instead of just "My Introduction Thread".

i wouldn't consider 11 degrees a conjunction, thats more than a decans width.

i would say that if a conjunction has an orb around 7 - 8, you can feel it slightly.

less than 7 - you can feel it.

less than 5 - is a full conjunction. but closer it is to 1 degree, the more solid that feeling willl be i think.

I have this with my best friend in the sign of virgo with about a 5 degree orb. We we don't really have alot of the same habits besides our circadian clocks (LULZ) but we're really comfortable with eachother. We've had our issues in the past but it hasn't truly destroyed our friendship. I don't know about her but for me its probably because she's the only girl besides my sister that I feel I can be myself around.

On the question of orb...

If its the same sign, its the same sign... your emotional expression will be the same and immediately understood (to the extent you understand your OWN emotional expression). The degree has to do with when outer planets hit your moon degree do they hit at the same time so you feel similar energies affecting your emotions at the same time or do you not have to deal with the energies affecting your emotions at the same time. If your moons are 11 degrees apart then Pluto will hit the first moon and then won't affect the other moon for a long time (like 10 years for it to hit the exact degree though it will be felt sooner). Mercury comes around much quicker so could hit the first moon and then move to the degree of the second moon within a week? I think. I don't know exactly how "fast" each planet moves but start with the moon which we know will change signs (so move a full 30 degrees) every couple days (so faaaast) and then understand that starting with Mercury and then moving waaaaaay out into space with Pluto, each orbit takes longer to come around and move around our charts.

So people allow bigger "orbs" for "personal planets" which just means the ones closest to us that cause more individual reactions because they hit us all so quickly at different various points instead of Pluto slowly and ominously moving into Capricorn and effecting everything Capricorn within each of us and the world for an entire decade.

Thanks for replies!
Mystic thanks for the clarification on the orbs. After reading your response I realize that even though we both have Taurus moons mine is in opposition with Pluto (his moon is not) and his is in opposition with Saturn (mine isn't). So are emotional responses are different shades of the same color so to speak.

Sure, and thanks for the question because I internalized what I wrote myself to some extent too. I didn't fully "Know" it until I "said it out loud". See you around LindaLand.

I share a 0* moon conjunction with a Knowflake. I really enjoy her natural spark that comes with that Moon's characteristic. I appreciate the other characterisitcs of our shared sign. I usually laugh before I've finished reading her line. I understand her natural enthusiasm and can understand her reflections of philosophy that help us learn and understand our lives better.

In relationship terms, I imagine you would feel very emotionally comfortable with that person.

Gemini Mercury 25˚
Cancer Venus 29˚ (Mutual reception with Moon)

11 degrees is a pretty wide orb, but I would say that since they are in the same sign, you guys meet your needs in the same way so that's good for compatibility.

I had a Moon/Moon conjunction (4 degrees) with a guy I dated. I feel we are still intuitively linked even though we haven't seen each other in almost a year. Sometimes when I really want to talk to him, I find he is on facebook at the same time as me

I also have a Moon/Moon conjunction with Linda (0 degrees omgggg) hehe.

+1 on the intuitive link amowls. My Scorpio and I aren't together but we still have the connection as strong as ever. Then add both our Neptunes and her Venus to the mix and the connection gets even more intuitive.

------------------
Virgo Asc 6˚& Mars 0˚
Gemini Sun 24˚
Libra Moon 14˚(conjunct Pluto 0˚ in 2nd house)
Gemini Mercury 25˚
Cancer Venus 29˚ (Mutual reception with Moon)
And yes, i'm a guy!

I have this with someone. We also share the same sun. I don't like her. I liked her at first but I got this vibe that I couldn't trust her, but decided to give her the benefit of the doubt. She's also a bit hard - and she's fake and talks about people that she's nice to. So, I had reason to think this.

Well....she totally acted like a mean teenager to me the other day, so now I'm done. I will be civil, but that's it.

It bothers me that someone with my sun-moon combo is so awful. I would think we'd get along. We actually do, but she is two-faced and just pretends to like me. I'm the opposite of that. She has moon conjunct neptune, so maybe she negatively expresses that. I don't know...

I also thought moon-moon were supposed to get along.

Thank you, Katatonic, that was really nice of you to say.

Lady Neptune, I share a bdate with a girl too (you just reminded me) and she has the same sun and moon but has an Aries AC and is much more aggressive and battle oriented than I am and though I was similar to her in my youth, I seemed to be more "adult" (Capricorn AC for me) and we are no longer very similar at all.
She used to joke that she was the evil twin and I was the good twin. She also had a very different experience in her life, her father shot and killed himself when she was a teenager. This contributed to her toughness and the difference between us, as of course all of our other experiences. We are very very different though we are born same day, same year and just different time.

i've had this with others many times, and more often than not there's a definite comfort and even similar, what's the word, mannerisms. very very good at reading each other. but i think you have to have more than just moon conj moon for a lot of these traits to manifest, but when they do, it feels very special. a very strong understanding.

Mystic

Yeah, I can see some similarities, she as some good qualities that befit the signs but she is mean. Not that I am perfect, but I'm not mean, not unless someone is mean to me first. She's also immature, it was seriously like "mean girls." It was really ridiculous, actually. I'm glad I found out she was like this before we became close.

It does sound like you are the "good twin."

23!!!

I've been away for a couple weeks; no internet. Before I took off I thought of how it had been a while since I'd last seen your posts. It seemed I was either reading the wrong threads or you had disappeared. I'm really glad to see you're still on the scene.

Anyway, I agree about our conjunct moons, I feel like I can always talk with you. It's a strange "gut" feeling that I'm somehow being understood and accepted. I know I gave a bleak estimation in comparing our Big 3, and it makes me wonder if real life could be anything like the great connection I've felt with you here.

Although fellow conjunct-libra-moon, Future_Uncertain, hasn't dug as thoroughly into my psyche as you have, she has shared enough of herself for me to believe that I could find a much better connection with her than with the majority of LindaLand's contributors.

I haven't considered your planetary placements since your SW/Mblover comparison thread. Have you posted your chart anywhere on this website?

Again, it's great to see you here.

Hello SW!!!

Yes, the old internet problem. Sounds like Moon conj Moon LOL! I've got major problems myself as I've just moved to another town and am living in the middle of a building site quite literally on the edge of town. We are to get digital cabling but nothing will happen to March so I'm relying on very poor signals from wireless broadband which is more like 1995 reception out here. Also we have no landline or TV (no analogue out here). Before that, some technician interfered with the wiring in our building so I had no net til we left! These technological disasters seem to happen to me every year

I've noticed you haven't been around and thought that you disappeared yourself! And yes, I do accept you and you me I sense Fantastic to see you again!

EDIT - I think the Moons add a lot but off memory, your Sun and some other planets, Mercury? is on my NN/Vx. I think that might be the clincher. Also you have DC in Aqu, I have Aqu Sun/Merc (but they fall in your 6th). My DC is Libra and your Moon would fall in my 7th. Also I have Pluto on my DC and Uranus on my 7th, this would match up with your Sco stellium and your Aqu DC!)

23-

Yeah, your NN conjuncts my Sun, Merc, Venus, and Jupiter. I feel I have a rather weak grasp of the Node meanings, it's one of a few areas of astrology that I've somewhat neglected, and I'm not quite sure what to make of NN synastry aspects. My NN is at 5 degrees Cancer, and I've never knowingly been close to anyone with planets in conjunction with it.

I suppose the NN, being a product of the Moon, might have a certain significance when in Cancer, and perhaps gives an extra flavor to my Moon. I'd like to do more research into Node-Moon aspects.

SW - I think the nodes are incredibly important as they can feel fateful and pull the relationship greatly either forward (NN) or backward (SN). Having one planet on a node in synastry is almost essential in important relationships, having four like what you do on my NN is a very slim thing to happen. My Vx also is at 16 degrees Sco, so it makes it even stronger. That's why I think there would be a friendship of some sort if we were to meet and I think that would make us get along despite our sun sign incompatibilities.

LL - yeah, Moon in 12th ain't pretty. Sorry!

Alas, I'm going to lose my net connection. This wireless is so bad that I'm going to return it to the shop. I doubt you guys will see me around much in the next while as I can't see my place getting connected any time soon. So goodbye to all in the meantime
