when you have house cusps, is it impossible, or possible to take on characteristics from two houses?or do most people here believe it's completely black & white? aka one or the other. and what about planets on these cusps, is it impossible for a planet to sit Right on the cusp and inherit some influence from two houses? a couple of things in my chart is sketchy, i really can't tell if my sun is in the 1st or second house, or right on the cusp (my birth time isn't accurate to the minute, its pretty sketchy, my mother just says around 4:30am, but she doesn't know it to the minute. most things definitely make sense around the 4:30am chart, i have made changes the birth time from around 4:15 - 4:40 to see what changes, most things stay the same in terms of placements, but a couple of things are quite critical. fortunately i discovered that saturn will quincunx my asc if i change my birth time to 4:24. and the description of the saturn quincunx asc is dead on accurate. so that helps indicate it. Some people believe if a planet is located at the end of a house near the next house cusp, it is in the house cusp that it is closest to.IP: Logged |

i see, that would help me sorting my natal out.its a real balancing act, when i move the houses slightly, certain aspects get lost which were very accurate, in exchange for other aspects which are also accurate. :S IP: Logged |

i am not high maintenance.. thanks... as for the 1st house, the description of the 1st house sun sounds kinda familiar when i was younger,
but all that stuff about "very brave" etc etc, i don't live up to that description. the sun in the 2nd house i think i can live up to. whats your opinion about the house cusp rules mvm? IP: Logged |

I have the same problem. Its tricky when planets are at the end of a house. I've experimented with different house systems to see where planets are placed, I prefer the Koch house system, but the whole house system helps if you just wanna see the planet in an actual house. I'm still unsure if my Mars is in the 4th house or 5th house. I believe that when a sign covers two houses it influences both. For example My Sun and Mercury are in the 8th house but Leo covers both the 8th and 9th house cusps, you get my drift? IP: Logged |

Someone told me,you have to bridge the two houses' issues together. So, your Sun would have 1st and 2nd house issues or if your Sun is located at the end of the 1st house, then you can look at it being in the 1st house but it depends really on what you indentify with more. For me I have Moon on the 2nd/3rd house cusp, Pluto on the 10th/11 cusp but I relate to my Moon being in the 3rd house though it's techinically at the end of the 2nd house and my Pluto being in the 10th house.
