My ex fiance asked me to look at the charts for him and his new love interest (don't worry, he and I are on good terms as friends ) I know him wayyyy too well to be objective when looking at synastry and composites involving him -- sooo, I would like some help from anyone willing to give input. He met this girl online a few days ago and is already planning to fly to Hawaii to see her! Their synastry looks very good to me -- exact moon/asc conjunct, exact sun/moon conjunct, and Venus trine Mars in about 1 degree orb -- but some of the Mars and Pluto stuff could be concerning. Thanks!IP: Logged |

I know that one is supposed to take the whole chart into account but I can’t get past that Taurus mars opposing Scorpio mars. I’m thinking a crowbar and a fire extinguisher may be required to keep them off each other. Toss Pluto into that as well and I just hope they remember to come up for air. IP: Logged |

Mars OPP Mars is argumentative and passionate, and yes, one of the individuals is Mars/Pluto. I think it is possible that who gets their own way might be an issue in this relationshp. But this aspect is also a balance of two approaches of doing things and can be very constructive (with effort, like all aspects). I have this on my synastry chart with my partner of 16 years. My parents also have this aspect between them and have been together for over 40 years. Also, on this chart it is part of a Wedge. So the Sun Conjunct Moon/Neptune in Capricorn offers a way of the stress of the Opposition. The Trine/Sextile to this point is flowing energy, and may help to calm things down. The Sun/Moon Conjunnction suggests a strong understanding of each other. IP: Logged |

Thank you for the responses! The girl is very concerned about having her heart broken, since she's suffered a lot in her romantic life... my main concern from knowing my ex is that he is not very expressive with his emotions or affection, and this girl seems to need a lot of that in order to feel secure. My only other worry is that they are both VERY competitive as it is, and I wonder if the Mars opposition (as steamy as it is!) would lead to a lot of grief. Other than that they seem to have a lot in common and I'm crossing my fingers it will work out for them IP: Logged |

Now other people are probably a lot more experienced than me, so please take what I say with a grain of salt.Mars op mars can be love or war. Obviously they love each other, so it can just be lots of sexy attraction. I'm looking, though, at the moon/neptune conj. sun...and I worry about idealization of the sun. I see that pluto/mars conj in the 5th opp mars in the 9th, and I think that perhaps the tactics of the 5th house person might **** off the mars 9th house person. Saturn conj. mercury= suppression of communication (or seriousness of communication, if you prefer). I would be worried looking at the chart of either person trying to pull a power-play on the other, and meeting with one ticked-off lover. BUT. They're engaged. Clearly, they've found a way to work through at least some of these conflicts. They just have to be sure that each person is allowed the time and space to say anything they need to say, and they have to do their best to see each other clearly. And to not consciously try to manipulate their partner. I think it can work, but then, I'm a die-hard romantic. BTW, venus in the other partner's 7th is supposed to be major good news, and moon conjunct ascendant will give them a really great common ground to work from. IP: Logged |

Asteroid Karma looks like it's drawing them in. I'm not quite sure you will be able to stop it but if you have any concerns speak to the girl now before they get so into each other that they can't see reality.IP: Logged |
