Topic: Can you help me find out my ascendant?

I dont know my ascendant! Neither of my parents knows the exact time I was born. My mother said it could be between 11:30am & 2pm. Considering this, it can be either Cancer or Leo. I've read about the description of both ascendants, and both of them ring true for me. How can I determine the exact degree?? What should I do?

check out where other planets of yours would fall into (houses) for each and compare them.IP: Logged |

I second snowhawk.Also sometimes you may feel like the next sign from your ascendant because your progressed ascendant changed signs. For example, sometimes I really relate to the Cancer Rising description (I am Gem Rising natally) because my ASC switched in my progressed chart. IP: Logged |

That is ridiculous, how can the Cancer and Leo descriptions both be similar? What kind of a nitwit are you? Do you just believe any description? Why not read all the 12 Ascendants and say that all of that rings true with you? Do you have any sense? Where do such losers come from?!

Iqhunk- I didnt mean that both ascendants were similar. Of course, they are so different from each other, I know that. Perhaps, my Pisces Venus and Moon trine Neptune in my chart make me feel also close to Cancer ascendant along with Leo ascendant, but still I am not sure. I may be confusing all. That's why I need help: to clarify. Also, it is very annoying that I dont know its exact degree, because I can never count on my ascendant when checking up my transits to natal and synastry charts. quote:

Lol, those first few lines did make me angry, at first! I've done what snohawk1 suggested many times before, but after a while everything gets all mixed up.  I can post my picture if it will help?
There are 2 choices, so it should be easy.

Dude, your picture is telling me 60% chances of Cancer Asc and 40% chances of Leo Asc.Ok, lets do some scientific tests: 1. How important is feeling crisp dollar notes in your palms? How do you like the smell of currency? 2. Do you feel warm when you have cold cash in the shirt pocket? I am a Cancerian whose personality has shifted to the Aries Ascendant but still answers to 1 and 2 are a very loud "YES" for me. 3. Fish based topping or Pepperoni on Pizza? 4. Have you experimented with cooking? Let me put it better.. do you know what coriander, asafoetida and clove are? 5. Cute baby with round cheeks, will you instantly demand to cuddle her? Close to yes for all 5 are 100% guarantee that you are a Cancer Ascendant. Remember, humility is a rare trait in a Leo Ascendant. Lara, As I said before, I have a lot of Water in my chart with strong Neptune contacts, so dont be preconcieved. What if more than one planet in my chart conjunct House Cusps?? Maybe this is why I find it difficult to compare. Normally, I'm a very decisive person. edit* Iqhunk, Can we discuss this matter in private? I dont know whether I have Cancer or a Leo Ascendant, but right now, at this moment I know one thing without question is that you are annoying. And I didnt like that.

Without knowing the rest of the chart it is very hard to guess or give advice. For example, Cancer Asc could put your Sun into your 1st house, and would explain why both the interpretations seem to fit you. The same with Leo Asc + Moon in the 1st.
And it's super hard and kind of silly for any of us to guess anything, because none of us knows you in person
Do what snohawk1 suggested, read planets in houses interpretations (Saturn and Sun in particular tend to be quite revealing if they happen to fall into different houses when you try different ascendants), and see if that would help at all.IP: Logged |
