i was in Japan last year for 10 months because my mother got a cancer and had a major operation. for that i took a break with my band activities and left my new job opportunity in Europe. i just came back a few days ago to Europe and intending to catch up with what i had to put off, beside going back to having the "normal" life again after really living like a hermit in an emotionally abusive environment... i have the freedom again, am a vegetarian again, smoke and drink. but some of my friends moved out of town while i was absent. my family relationship is poor, i mean pretty much my family is defunct, and i feel pressured to really get my life straight now that my closest family member has fallen ill. also i haven't had a healthy love relationships for like 5 years now, and i really need something sweet and emotionally supportive now... this year, for me personally, is THE year to get things straight. i need to rescue myself from the rut. all in all i'm determined to go ahead and forget about all the sh!t the recent Saturn return put me through, and START ANEW.

and this year's solar return chart is as if telling me mockingly that i'll never achieve any of that and will further bog me down and erase all opportunities before my eyes, except a few seemingly minor positive things. but my 3 major concerns about my family, my life (=job, own home) and love seem to suffer greatly from what i read.

on top of that, i mentioned this in a Venus retro thread somewhere, i now stay at my ex-lover (or occasional, i should say) who is happen to be also my best friend. as the retro Venus is going over my natal Moon, his natal Jupiter and our composite IC, things are a bit quirky and making me feel reeeally weird. we had a "friendly" argument last night for hours, which is nothing new for us, but now i'm really skeptical of his intentions, like, it made me wonder, "should i really trust this guy?" (as RX Venus should, i guess. but not fun) he's my dear soul brother, comrade, and oftentimes a good roommate as this time around. but i suddenly feel like there's a huge misunderstanding between us.

aaaanyway, i'm just in a state of shock. probably tired from the trip too. i feel that i'm starting to feel a bit depressed of all this situation.

THE ANNUAL ASC IN THE NATAL SIXTH HOUSE - This is poor for health and usually brings domestic problems. If the rest of the return is good, there will be no more than the usual flues and colds, but there is generally a weakening of the organism, lack of energy, and frequent exhaustion. The work environment or those in it may cause illness. If the solar sixth and tenth are unfavorably linked, it will bring professional problems involving duties and obligations which are servile or demeaning and distasteful, joyless, tedious, tiresome and unexciting. THE ANNUAL ASCENDANT IN CANCER - Matters revolve around the family, domestic affairs, parents, your past, and/or real estate. Good for politics and public life if the Moon is not too afflicted. You are more reserved and secret about what concerns you most. This makes you more emotional and if the Moon is even slightly afflicted you will be emotion and moody, having regrets and nostalgic reverie; pointless remorse or neurosis about getting old. May make plans regarding later years.

THE ANNUAL MC IN THE NATAL FOURTH HOUSE - Questions concerning real estate, land, parents, or the home will occur
this year. It often shows the end of a project you have been involved in for a long time. This is frequently seen in the year the person retires. If this house is afflicted by malefic planets or malefic aspects to planets in the SOLAR Fourth or Tenth house or to the SOLAR rules of the Fourth and Tenth, it threatens a loss of professional or social position. This will be especially true when the natal MC and the SOLAR MC are in opposition within 8 or 9 .

THE ANNUAL 2ND HOUSE IN THE NATAL EIGHTH HOUSE - With malefics this can bring loss of a job (death of one's earnings), unemployment, or bankruptcy. With benefics, this helps to correct any faults found in the NATAL second house for that year.

THE ANNUAL 3RD HOUSE IN THE NATAL NINTH HOUSE - Good for philosophy, religion, theology, judges. With malefics there is a danger while traveling especially long distances. Can bring correspondence, etc. with brothers-in-law, in-laws, foreign countries, people and places at a distance. Writers may write on these subjects.

THE ANNUAL 4TH HOUSE IN THE NATAL TENTH HOUSE - Very important for those whose career depends on real estate, land,
mines, buildings, and other things governed by the fourth house. You may act impulsively especially in fire signs.

THE ANNUAL 5TH HOUSE IN THE NATAL ELEVENTH HOUSE - Shows pleasures given by friends or connections or their help. Birth of new projects, desires, aspirations. Hopes or
ambitions concerning children are shown. With malefics is a threat as the fifth opposes the eleventh.

THE ANNUAL 6TH HOUSE IN THE NATAL FIRST HOUSE - Usually brings little freedom of choice in the coming year (sixth is
subordination). A poor year for independent projects. If the total SOLAR shows bad for health, this brings a frightening but temporary illness.

THE ANNUAL 7TH HOUSE IN THE NATAL SECOND HOUSE - Affects good or poor income from different sources. Simultaneous earnings
to your major source of income. Sometimes reads as the annual second in the natal seventh, but usually shows multiple sources of income or money coming from legal proceedings.

THE ANNUAL 11TH HOUSE IN THE NATAL FIFTH HOUSE - Be watchful of the friends your children go around with this year. This
aids your judgment in romance. Can operate as the inverse superimposition.

THE ANNUAL 12TH HOUSE IN THE NATAL SEVENTH HOUSE - Poor for marriage and partnership relations. With benefics, brings mutual secrets (worries you keep hidden from the other so as not to upset them). Can act as reverse superimposition.

SUN IN THE SIXTH HOUSE OF THE SOLAR RETURN - Poor for health or for the things in the house ruled by Leo; afflicted to
Mars AND connected by rulership (Aries/Scorpio on the cusp) of the tenth...you could damage your career by hasty action meant to improve your position or promotion.

MOON IN THE THIRD HOUSE OF THE SOLAR RETURN - Short trips, favorably or poorly influences. Relations with those around
you. If poorly aspected can bring illness. Poor aspect to Saturn brings little intimacy; to Neptune or Mercury brings gossip and criticism; with Mars brings arguments and disputes.

MERCURY IN THE SIXTH HOUSE OF THE SOLAR RETURN - Afflicted shows overwork bringing headaches. Afflictions make mental work difficult.

VENUS IN THE EIGHTH HOUSE OF THE SOLAR RETURN - Favors trials and investments unless it is in Scorpio.

MARS IN THE SIXTH HOUSE OF THE SOLAR RETURN - Could bring an accident. If Mars is in Capricorn and superimpositions are good and Mars is unafflicted, brings good health. A poor position for employees and subordinates as you want to be independent at work and may take on a project you can't handle, or it can cause conflicts at work.

JUPITER IN THE SEVENTH HOUSE OF THE SOLAR RETURN - Well aspected brings conjugal happiness. If the natal chart shows
unhappiness here, the SOLAR RETURN will bring at least a year of calm, good relations with partners or success in legal
actions. Afflicted it demands greater reserve. People may abuse your confidence.

SATURN IN THE THIRD HOUSE OF THE SOLAR RETURN - Brings pessimism, tense relations, trouble with older people you know; delays in traveling and other things this house governs. Afflictions are especially poor for students, writers and editors. PLUTO IN THE SIXTH HOUSE OF THE SOLAR RETURN - Brings exaggerated fears over health, usually connected more with mental, psychological, and nervous ills than with physical ones. In the SOLAR RETURN of a sick person shows an unusual form of a known disease or a rare disease. With good aspects brings a spectacular recovery of health.

SUN CONJUNCT MARS - Shows violence or brutality by you or that you will suffer. If at the ASC or MC, you commit the violence. If Mars and the Sun are in poor aspect in the natal or if the SOLAR ASC is in Scorpio, can bring fights or wounds, jealousy, anger, or hate ending in violence. Often seen in years of separation or divorce or suicide attempts. If this conjunction falls in the sixth or twelfth house, may bring surgery.

SUN CONJUNCT PLUTO - Can bring success which exceeds all expectations. You tend to be practical and need to expend yourself this year.

MOON CONJUNCT SATURN - This brings trouble from women, just as the Sun conjunct Saturn brings trouble from men.

i don't care if it's a lie... someone please just tell me SOMETHING good about what i got here... although i normally only take good things into account when it comes to things like this (though i try to keep so-called "bad" things as precautions as i should), but i'm just really... disappointed. i really could have used some supportive "boost" from a positive astrological interpretation to pull through this "important" year.

Put that report away and don't read it again.

As a professional astrologer, this is one of the things I hate about astrology. If I give someone a report, I write it out myself and I do it based on the personal conversation I've had with a client.

This report you have gives you no alternatives for working with the stressful energies it presents. All it has done is made you worry about your upcomming future and to quote you: "It's left you with no hope."

That's not what astrology or prognostication of any kind is for. When you consult the stars or any other kind of "energies" it's to help guide you on your path, not frighten you from attempting to get on it.

I like what you said about knowing that this is a year for you to kind of get your life straight. When I look at the symbols in this report and see how stressful they are, what I do is I say this: "I see lots of stress here and that is great for doing work. Nothing happens without stress."

You've only been given one option for each explaination. If it talks about health, it only says that it's not good for health. What if the writer had spoken to you and discovered that you are a vegetarian now or as you said, "back to being a vegetarian." That applies to that measurement. It's not always easy to jump back on the health wagon. You mentioned that you also drink and smoke, that measurement could suggest that if you are trying to stop, it's not easy, but it's actually a good time to put in the work in reference to your health.

I can't go through all of it now, but I highly suggest you put that report away and design your own plan of strategy to make your hopes, dreams and wishes come to fruition. You already know that life isn't easy, we all do. But if you think of the stresses you see in that report as you joining a construction crew for your future. A large bunch of muscular men are lined up to build your dream house, to dig the trenches, to move the dirt, to get dirty while working in the mud and hammering nails, sawing wood, lifting and straining, using heavy machinery; all that is required to build your dream home and to build your dreams. You are on the crew with them getting your hands dirty, possibly hitting your finger with the hammer once or twice, but you put a band aid on it and jump back on the ladder to continue hammering nails and putting in the screws where necessary. Bricks might fall on your toes, but it happens. You keep building the walls and get cement mix all over your pants and your work boots.

That's what I see in that report. I take a little glance at the report and see "Hmmm...there looks to be stress coming up, that means I'll have a lot of man power at my disposal. GOOD!! LET'S GET TO WORK PEOPLE!!!"

Now, put the report away and get to work on making your plans and dreams come true.

really you said just exactly what i needed to hear. thank you SO MUCH. it's definitely not good to read something like this when i'm already stressed, tired, bothered by other things in life. i took the time to look up my chart according to the book because i was already feeling stressed and thought maybe i can feel positive about my life by finding good interpretations on my chart. yea my bad to just take literally what it says without really putting my personal situation and other elements into account.

i had just been going through tremendous stress, and i had my emotions and freedom repressed in solitude during the 10 months in Japan. now suddenly i came back into my familiar surrounding, suddenly back to live with the closest friend of mine, and while i was in Japan even my period had stopped, and as soon as i came back i started bleeding like a river LOL. yea so i guess without really realising i was really pressuring myself with loads of things. phew!

yea, why feel bad? i got my freedom back! it's life as it should be again! i have choices! there's nothing to feel pessimistic about, yea.

I don't see any serious challenging aspects in the solar return chart.

I see Moon oppose Uranus
and Mars square Saturn
