Pinocchio

Asteroid 12927 Pinocchio was discovered on September 30, 1999, by Maura Tombelli and Luciano Tesi, at the San Marcello Pistoiese Observatory in San Marcello Pistoiese, Tuscany, Italy. It has a period of 3 years, 181 days. It was named after the title character of the children's book The Adventures Of Pinocchio(1883), by Italian author Carlo Lorenzini(1826-1890), who wrote under the pen name Carlo Collodi. Pinocchio(whose name means "Pine Head" in Italian) was a wooden marionette carved by an old man named Geppetto who longed to become a real, flesh-and-blood boy, and got his wish, but first had to learn bravery, truth, unselfishness and generosity. Philosopher Benedetto Croce commented that "the wood of which Pinocchio is carved is humanity itself." The book was made into a classic movie by The Walt Disney Company in 1940. The character Pinocchio is probably best known for the fact that his nose grew in length whenever he told lies and returned to normal size whenever he told the truth.

Astrologically, asteroid Pinocchio signifies the telling of lies, especially transparent ones; rumormongering; scoffing; the creation of legends; denial; and self-delusion, and also finding one's true purpose in life or what makes one more successful or distinguished than one's previous pursuits were doing, finding one's own voice, reclaiming one's life, taking control of one's life, possibly coming to or coming back to life, in either the literal or metaphorical sense.

And what aspects does it make?

My picocchio is between my legs. I remember this one time a woman ripped my clothes off, got on top of me, grabbed my neck and yelled "LIE!!! LIE!!!"

Seriously now, my pinocchio is in capricorn conjunct my MH and square my saturn and jupiter.

Hmm.. since I could make a career out of lying, perhaps I should drop psychology and dedicate myself to politics... wait, I hate politics.

I never enjoyed lying or being lied to. But I have lied to myself and been in denial before. To be true to myself and others is of upmost importance to me.
Do you think this asteroid is truly important songwriter? Does it make sense in your chart and chart of people you know well?

The truth is we all tell lies. I dont believe anyone who shakes his/her head and say "that's not true!". Asteroid Pinocchio can point out HOW and WHY we lie to ourselves and others which keeps us off from our true purpose in life, and by learning bravery, truth, unselfishness and generosity in that area we can take control of our lives, become real (evolved human), and get our wish.

We should start being "real" with everything we think and feel. Then, it will be a completely different world.

Beware of people who says "I never lie"

Kamots,

I think it may have importance.
This is something we'll discover together here.
Yes, it does make sense

Kamots!
LOL. I like that one dude!

Songwriter.
This one is quite interesting in my chart.
Its at 7 Degrees Gemini.

Making connections with :

Saturn at 7 Virgo
Mars at 7 Aries
Psyche at 7 Aquarius
Nefertiti at 7 Cancer
Kaali at 7 Leo
Aura/Stonehenge at 7 Pisces

"Astrologically, asteroid Pinocchio signifies the telling of lies, especially transparent ones; rumormongering; scoffing; the creation of legends; denial; and self-delusion, and also finding one's true purpose in life or what makes one more successful or distinguished than one's previous pursuits were doing, finding one's own voice, reclaiming one's life, taking control of one's life, possibly coming to or coming back to life, in either the literal or metaphorical sense."

I can see where this would be true for me seeing as for a while I deluded myself regarding my sexuality, I was in denial for a long time about that. I also for a while had issues with my Father, I was totally opposed to the point of denial about anything dark (Kaali), or a occultish (Psyche, Aura, Stonehenge), because I was raised so Christian, so I thought it was all "demonized". But I can say that it was the intergrating of those energies into my life and deprogramming those patterns of thinking, especially the Divine Feminine that Nefertiti embodies, as well as Kaali, and the intuition that Aura and Psyche convey has aided in my "coming back to life" so to speak, and reclaiming my life by evoking the Kundalini that exists within me.
Its also in my 7th house. And just about every relationship has turned out to be a delusional assumption on my part.
My marriage at 20 yo was definitely a big delusion! lol

This PINOCCHIO is an interesting one - thanks for calling our attention to it. With me, it's in my 12th house (which is a more or less empty house for me, natally). PINOCCHIO is exactly cj. my Jupiter/Neptune and Jupiter/ASC-Midpoint. I wonder what this might imply? Hm.

So, it's aspects are (tight orbs 0-2 dg only):

PINOCCHIO in Scorpio in natal 12th
- cj. Jupiter/Neptune (exact)
- cj. Jupiter/ASC (exact)
- sextile Vesta (exact)
- trine Vertex
- trine Pallas
- trine Sexuality
- trine Aura
- trine Destinn
- trine Foolhardiness (exact)
- trine Venus/Saturn (exact)
- square Husbandry
- square Sun/Venus
- oppos. draco Amor (exact)

~ traditional ending ~

After long months of working for the farmer and supporting the ailing Geppetto he goes to town with what money he has saved (fifty copper pennies to be exact) to buy himself a new suit. He meets the snail, who tells him that the Turquoise Fairy is ill and needs money. Pinocchio instantly gives the snail all the money he has, promising that he will help his mother as much as he is helping his father. That night, he dreams he is visited by the Fairy, who kisses him. When he wakes up, he is a real boy at last. Furthermore, Pinocchio finds that the Fairy left him a new suit and boots, and a bag which Pinocchio thinks is the fifty pennies he originally loaned to the Turquoise Fairy. The boy is shocked to find instead fifty freshly minted gold coins. He is also reunited with Geppetto, now healthy and resuming woodcarving. They live happily ever after.
