i have my mercury in scorpio exactly by 1 degree conjunct pluto in scorpio, both in 1st house, i read this could make me abit, well, psychotic. at times i do feel "wierd" and i feel as no one sees things how i see them, maybe im just paranoid? :Sbut anyways, what are your opinions on mercury conjunct pluto? and if anyone has this aspect, do you "know" where im coming from? thanks IP: Logged |

My mother has this aspect, but more correctly she has Sun/Mercury/Pluto in Conjunction. She can veer towards paranoia, but she is also highly intuitive with a strong understanding of other people. IP: Logged |

It's too powerful!! One must learn to channel its energy positively. Also, your words can kill or heal. I have Mercury oppose Pluto.

I don't believe that heavenly body alignments make us who we are. I believe that they are reflect who we are. I don't believe in cause and effect in Astrology. I believe in synchronicity like Carl Jung.
with that aside,
Mercury conjunct Pluto is basically the intense,penetrating,secretive mind which can be good for research,investigation,and getting to the bottom of things and getting below the surface as well as uncovering secrets and keeping secrets. It can be good for psychoanalysis and shamanism. It can also be a powerful communicator which can be good for being like a lifecoach,orator,preacher. the negative side is that it can have experiences of betrayal in regards to mental activity, and therefore there can be trust issues,be suspisciousness...the extreme of it can be paranoia. This can also be connected to keeping a secret..especially for so long that they are afraid for it to come to the surface. It can also be obsessive,compulsive in one's thinking. There can be a fanatic way of thinking. There can be a potential for manipulating and abusive communications.
