Knowflakes, How are your experiences in Sun Opp. Moon in Synastry?

I continue to find this aspect in divorces, breakups, cheating, difficult relationship, etc etc..

I do realize that one aspect does not signify anything but would like to hear opinions and experiences.

actually I am attracted to people whose Moon is opposite my Sun and we usually get along very well, I still have no idea why ... interesting that whenever I cannot stand a guy for no apparent reason I find out he has Venus opp my Sun! this aspect is a total turn off for me! although I don't have any problems with guys whose Sun is opposite my Venus ... weird

Well, for me personally l like my sun opposing their moon. For some reason l don't like their sun opposing my moon but then my moon is in Aries and l do think that Libra grates on Aries with their indecisiveness

Oooo i had this with this one boy...

he was cheating on his GF with me. he was a Cancer, and me Sagittarius, and his Moon/Venus MC conjunction opposes my Sun. In the beginning I felt nothing like I ever did before, not in a passionate sense but everything felt so cozy and lovey-dovey. But then i should have known better that i'm not made for that kind of relationship. soon after (in the course of 1 months or something), he started annoying the hell out of me, i felt suffocated and restricted, etc. etc... so i ended the relationship, and i was glad that he could go back to his GF.

so your theory proves right in my case!

My Dad`s Moon closely opposes my Mum`s Sun (Taurus - Scorpio) and they have been married for 35 years now. Maybe the Taurus-Scorpio axis is clingier than others?

My stepgrandmother's Sun in Virgo oppose my grandfather's Moon in Pisces. They were married for 40 years until my grandfather's suicide. My grandfather was my stepgrandmother's first and only love. She first met him when she was 13 years old,and he was 19. They had 2 sons and 2 daughters together.

I wouldn't want somebody's Sun in Virgo in my 12th opposition to my Moon in Pisces in 3'11 Pisces in 6th because it be squaring my retrograde Saturn in Gemini in 9th and Jupiter-Neptune in Sagittarius in 3rd for a grand cross even though it would be sextile my Sun in 5'20 Scorpio. If it was closely opposite my Moon, it would be conjunct my Saturn/Neptune midpoint in 3'28 Virgo and squaring my retrograde Varuna in 3'01 Gemini. Moon square Varuna could be too intense a connection. If the Moon was between 5 and 6 degrees Virgo,it would be sextile my Ixion in 5'25 Scorpio. If it was between 2 and 3 degrees Virgo, it would be trine my retrograde Sedna in 2'06 Taurus and sextile my Quaoar in 2'22 Scorpio and Moon to form a Mystic Rectangle that would be a very otherworldly emotional connection.

On the other hand, if her Moon in Taurus in my 8th was in opposition to My Sun in 5'20 Scorpio in 2nd,I might like that. It would be sextiling my Moon in 3'11 Pisces. It would also be conjunct my retrograde true lunar perigree in 5'42 Taurus, opposite my retrograde true lunar apogee aka true Black Moon Lilith in 5'42 Scorpio. That would be a strong emotional, intuitive connection. If it was between 5 and 6 degrees Scorpio, it would be in opposition to my Ixion in 5'25 Scorpio, and it could indicate a very intense/lusty connection that could be difficult. If it was between 2 to 3 degrees Taurus, it would be conjuncting my retrograde Sedna in 2'06 Taurus and opposing my Quaoar in 2'22 Scorpio, and I would have a very otherworldly influence on her that could be difficult because it can be too intense with the opposition to Quaoar.

Well anyone who's cappy moon opposes my cancer sun would automatically conjunct my ascendant so I probably wouldn't mind it. That, and they'd have great affinity with my virgo moon.

As for the other way around, I think I have this at a wide orb (5-6 degrees) with my pisces sun sister and I do feel a little bit like the 'nagging wife' in this relationship....jestingly of course. I'm also the less outgoing one too but go figure, our relationship is like day and night. O__o

My parents have been married forever.. with my mom Moon in Scorpio and dad's Sun in Taurus.

I find that this aspect creates a very good attraction at early stage in relationship.. but does it Sustain the long term?

I'm not sure mblover.

I'm inclined to say no but then my experience was negative. I'm not really attracted to moon signs opposing my sun and vice versa but then maybe it's just what i need.

The whole 2 parts of a whole in the opposition is great in theory although Libra men just irritate me so much and l am unable to ignore it.

Does your opposite annoy or irritate you?

Hey Lara,

My bro has taurus moon
My father has taurus sun
I am sco sun and moon
My mother has sco moon

I definitely do not like their taurus placements but I was the last one to be born so they should hate me.. lol.

Again to me.. Taurus Sun in Female is great... but I really worry about opposite Taurus Moon! And, I am already feeling strong intuitions that my first or second child is going to have a Taurus Moon!!!!!!

I've heard Sun/Moon oppositions are common in marriages/relationships. I've seen several couples with it. Oppositions can be like attraction too. Not a bad thing. I've had sun trine moon and things still fell apart. I don't think the aspect alone could be isolated.

I've had Sun square Moon DW in synastry with someone and we seemed to know how to hurt each other exactly, despite our suns in a sextile.
I think Moon square Sun is like a fascination, a very strong attraction wrought with tension.
