Sooooooo I've currently got a Uranus transit to my Mercury (it's an opposition), and I was wondering how it's been for others who've undergone this transit.

Does it make 'weird' ideas more appealing?
Does it give strange new concepts? Maybe challenging old thoughts and patterns in some way, even discarding them altogether? Do tell

Mercury is the ruler of my sun, and I also have t Uranus oppose my Sun now (it's been interesting, to say the least). My own Mercury in my chart has aspects to Pluto, Neptune, Saturn, Jupiter, and my MC.

isnt your mercury in libra?
i see this transit like this: coming up with unusual ideas, saying things that will shock people and make them uncomfortable, going into crazy rants and raves, becoming very passionate about strange topics: astrology? lol....etc...theres a nervous energy and difficulty sleeping as well.

Actually, I think it's been helping me with my book. I changed the structure and wanted it to be less linear and more collage/weird. I guess this aspect would help LOL

I feel it's been bringing out a kind of bizarre humor to my life. Interesting so far

And I feel less emotional than usual, like I'm just watching myself WANT to rant and rave. And Saturn's also going to conjunct my Mercury soon - I already have the square in my natal. So that doesn't really bother me.

No, it shows up in my transits, but I do think it's yet to really kick in - I have Mercury at 1 degree Libra. And Uranus is in the late Aqua now. So I guess it's still kind of like by wide degrees (I forget how many lol)
I'm so curios what will happen

But isn't Uranus less about rants and raves and more about saying shocking or bizarre stuff? I just don't see it as an emotional planet.

Maybe trying new approaches to old problems and patterns? That would be great!
I'm trying to do that now - between the Saturn/Sun and Uranus/Sun it's been pretty weird lol
But it's also been like a completely different outlook (in a good way, after a lot of crap)

Yeah, Uranus is passionate, you are right

Transiting Uranus was conjuncting my Mercury conjunct Sun/Neptune midpoint in Scorpio in 3rd house when I was a kid. I made changes from being a special education student to being a regular student.

And Uranus is in the late Aqua now.

Neptune is in late Aqua now. Uranus is in Pisces as someone already tried to tell you

Uranus will start aspecting your Mercury around April 2011. You won't be feeling it yet, it's miles away.

I had the trine going on some years back, I'm not sure I noticed it though since saturn was sitting on top of my sun at the same time. I just didn't know to put my mercury to good use yet.

Uranus entered my 3rd house though and my creative writing has rocketed sky high (I have pisces on the 3rd house cusp). I've just been coming up with crazy ideas since last fall.

*Slaps head* - Forgot to acknowledge that Uranus is in Pisces. Right, I was thinking Neptune, NightJar.

Astro.com shows it's opposing already, but I had no idea the degrees were so wide... 8 degrees. So yeah, I guess maybe it won't count yet.

Still interesting to know though!

Uranus is moving through my 11th now, and I've had some falling out with friends. But it's been for the best, I feel.

Hello

MyVirgoMask, how did your transit go?

I'm about to have Uranus from the 2nd house oppose Mercury in the 8th. I'm a Virgo with Aquarius rising with natal Uranus on the MC. Considering a major relocation soon and/or a lot of travel in any case. Wherever I read, it doesn't say good about travel, I'm a bit apprehensive. Maybe there's a more optimistic interpretation of the transit? Like excellent time for adventure, writing, exploring?

I had Uranus square Mercury in 2010. Mercury is in my 1st house, and rules my 7th and 9th houses (placidus), and Mercury is exactly conjunct my Neptune, so I had Uranus square those planets simultaneously.

SO, my Uranus sq Mercury transit had a lot to do with relationships! I broke up with my ex and immediately met someone new during my first 'hit' of the transit. The 'relationship' was very Uranian. I later got back with my ex later on in the transit, but our relationship became very Uranian because I felt the need for freedom and excitement. I was very on-off with both guys at that time. My ex went nuts, and I was going nuts over the new guy. By the time the transit ended, I was completely uninterested in the new guy (I had a major 'what was I thinking?' moment), and things went back to normal with my ex.

I also had deep flashes of insight in regards to my personal philosophies and worldview. I think this was because I learned about transits during this transit, which was a huge eye-opener.

Actually, that was funny because its the same day my sibling actually got into an accident unexpectedly.

Actually, no! It's not funny! Why are you talking about such horrible things! You should be ashamed.
