D,

Check this link for more on the Saturn Return - I'd posted it ~3 years ago when I was in the middle of mine: http://www.linda-goodman.com/ubb/Forum1/HTML/009759.html

Mine was in my 9th house and brought about a divorce out of an unhappy marriage, a move out of state that brought me closer to my educational goals (pretty fitting!), a new job, and my long-time love. So, while it seemed like a struggle at the time, it brought about changes for the better. My life has been in a much better place ever since!

It sounds like you're handling things pretty well so far.

Sunshine

Before the Saturn return I had a sad event happening that coloured the return period as well, hence the depression, or rather an emotional devastation and inability to enjoy good things like I used to.
My Saturn rules the 6th house and is in the 1st natally. During the return I finally did what had to be done a long time ago - started an orthodontic treatment to align my teeth which is far from a pleasant experience but the result is worth it
And besides the Saturn return together with tr. Uranus trine n. Uranus has brought me an understanding of how to change my life.

What happened under my Saturn return is currently picking its nose and watching the T.V.

After several miscarriages I had my first baby.

Natally my Saturn is in the 7th house, where it is exalted.

You're a treasure bluemoon!!

My Saturn Return was extremely painful - but I won't bore you with details, only that 2 weeks before I turned 28, my partner ran off with a gorgeous 19 year old! Ouch! Saturn was transiting my 11th house - I became a type of hermit for a while - socialising was the last thing I wanted to do.

hello d,
my life completely changed during my saturn return which happened in september 2008. i left my job, changed country, went to another country to finally live with my long-term boyfriend (it was yes or no situation).
it was probably one of the hardest periods of my life, cause i had to deal with so many changes happening at the same time. i thought i am gonna give up on everything and start all over again but....
....i realize i have grown up and am much more self - confident. i know when to say yes and no.
just accept the fact that many things take time and be patient, especially if you have to adapt yourself to a change. give yourself some time and be gentle on yourself. don't be angry if something does not turn the way you expected it.
you will see, life goes on afterwards

i have not noticed saturn returns being particularly difficult. saturn in 12th, now, there was a harsh one! but my first return (sat is in my 7th) brought me my husband and the most committed relationship of my life...i should say relationships, because ultimately it brought me my daughter, but that is another transit so...but hooking up with him did change my life considerably, and led to parenthood which has taken up most of my second saturn cycle. the SECOND RETURN was basically joyous!
however it is a time when you complete dharma, i think, and shed your skin to become your next phase...

I'm going through mine right now. Things have been Tough.. Mine is in the 10th house. My husband is going through his as well. We have not had it easy since Saturn entered Virgo. I'm hoping we come out of this stronger and happier then when we entered.

I got a Saturn return coming up, just in the final stages, like you. Born 1980 and my Saturn had just entered Libra.

For you, Capricorn is on your 5th, with Saturn in the 1st. Your Saturn return is all about house 5 - Gambling/Pregnancy.
You got a period coming up...or maybe not
where getting preganant is a big possibilty.

So, be cautious and make sure you dont make the mistake of bringing a little devil into the world.

You can also turn the chart around. 7th house becomes the 1st house and you can look at your Saturn return from the perspective of your partner. Capricorn rules your 5th, but his 11th (as he is house 7) - he could party more, suddenly become famous and/or meet new/old/good friends.

Always worth remembering that a return is positive.

The next longest return of a planet is Uranus at about 86 years of age. Saturn returns every 30.

Its pretty big, pretty good, and a time of growing up.

I have had saturn in 12th for about 2 years now and just like u my ascendant is at 26 deg virgo. It hasnt made contact yet and it wont till september.

Saturn is the ruler of my 5th house.

Since saturn has been in my 12th house i went overseas and spent 3 months of my holiday in a village in the middle of nowhere in the bushes and overcame my fear of being alone. I enjoyed it eventually and i didnt struggle. Then i came back to australia and my mum kicked me out of her home and i moved into a house and lived there by myself. I spent my days alone with my cat and it was the best thing that happened to me. I enjoyed the time alone after another few months of adjusting and i am very grateful i had that time for myself and peace and quite. its couldnt have come at a better time.

Now saturn will cross over my ascendant and i am moving out of my house tomorrow. Ive just broken up with my long term bf of 9 years..

Yes it was hard the first 4 days but now im over it. Im not going to sook over him forever and everyone has issues with life but with saturnin 1st i wouldve assumed ur already aware of responsibilites in life.

I have saturn in first and these kind of things dont affect me because i see it differently. I watched some of my friends go through saturn returns and they turned out really good.

So bring on change if its better..

I will have saturn and uranus square my moon and at the same time cross over my AC DC axis.

Life is beautiful with all the good and bad in it. Struggling is fun because it gives you something to do. Something to occupy and improve yourself.

I love change.

dont forget that saturn returns, although difficult, also brings the rewards for past efforts.

and in those areas where you need to learn sth,it will teatch you, eventually turning you a stronger person.

My 1st saturn return will only happen in 2012 -so i cannot really say how i will deal with it.

But times ago i had fear, but now that im taking life in a new perspective,i am seeing these Hard Transist through another much more coloured way.

but i have a question: my Saturn( cj Pluto) placement is...odd! it is in 0 Scorp and in the end of my 1st house. and my 2nd house starts at 1 scorp - so actually,is my Saturn in the 1st?or in the 2nd? And Saturn rules my 4TH hOUSE.

I am now thinking that Saturn will bring lessons regardin 4th issues?

I can relate to you Defiant. I'm currently experiencing my Saturn Return and it has been very restricted and everything in my life seems to be moving at a snail's pace. I can't wait for the return to be over.

I stumbled into this thread after spending some time investigating my natal Saturn in the 8th house. I'm still 2.5 years away from my Saturn return, but I'm wondering two things:

1. I've read horror stories that when the Saturn return occurs in the 8th house it can be particularly horrible and painful and drastic. This scares me.

2. Currently, Saturn is transiting my seventh house, and will conjunct my natal mars in virgo in a little less than a year. Does anyone have any thoughts or experiences about that?

Thanks so much!

1. Saturn returns are good. Any returns are good. End of one cycle and the start of another.

2. Never had that. The conjunction to Mars will be good.

If some people have a bad time on the Saturn return, it is likely that Saturn is badly aspecting something else.

Thanks, kickit! I know they're good in the end... but the idea of a time of upheaval and change is definitely a little scary!

Katatonic - I have experienced the same thing my Saturn is in my 7th and my SR has brought the most committed and loving relationship I have ever had! There was upheaval and trauma too, but this beautiful relationship has emerged from it all. Feel blessed.

Many thanks for sharing and asking the questions.

The opposite of love is indeed hate, not indifference, for indifference is a form of detachment, and both love and hate are two forms of attachment, and detachment is naturally the opposite of both the two forms of attachment. There are many theories of the relationships between love and hate, but ultimately, hate is death force, which creates untimely or chronic destruction; whereas love is life force, which brings life.

This generation which has Saturn in Sagittarius, has anyone noticed how "everyone" is doing something and then it is harder to get ahead?
Now "everyone" has gone to college in this generation, with education being ruled by Sagittarius, it is quite hard to find jobs. There are those cranky employers, who say "no new grads," or, you need to have some sort of higher degree than a Bachelor's. The colleges are also increasingly trying to have students do more and work harder for the same degree others did minimal work for about twenty years ago, in an attempt to be taken seriously. I feel everyone with Saturn in Sag is being taken for a long, annoying ride, where money keeps being thrown out the window in the hands of greedy others, in this lure to get ahead, to catch on to some middle-class dream which keeps being moved farther and farther away. Like a cat and mouse game. How do others feel about this?
