post your chart. most things in natal charts depend on looking at the big picture.and to answer your question i would look at aspects made to that Venus from natural ruler of 9th house, Jupiter. ------------------ sag sun, cap moon, sag mercury, aries mars, scorpio venus IP: Logged |

I find people with this placement find people who are foreigners to be very attractive. i have mine on the cusp of 9th, and i know i'm very attracted to men with other cultures etc... and i'd love to travel. of course i don't think its the same as full blown 9th house venus people. i also heard this placement means you might find your love partner from another country. I am: Cancer Sun conjunct Chiron/Gem Merc conjunct Venus in the 9th house. Venus is parallel Jupiter in Taurus.Right now, I'm living abroad in Korea for a teaching internship. I actually blame tUranus conjunct Pisces nMars in my 6th house for my sudden moves. Mars is square my Merc/Venus, too. Growing up, my dream was to work abroad and do volunteer work. I also knew when I was in the 3rd grade that I wanted to be a writer. I studied Cultural Studies and Journalism in college, but then I realized that Comparative Literature (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Comparative_Literature) and teaching was my true passion last year. I'm learning three different languages right now, but I really wish I could find someone to teach me Arabic. That would be so cool! One step at a time though... Funny enough, I'm kinda sick of traveling around (growing up, my Mom brought me to a lot of different places and really opened up my eyes to world...) and I'm moving back home to be with my bf. I actually don't find foreigners as attractive as you would think. I actually tend to fall for your typical, "home grown" American boys, but it's because they're a different culture than me - your stereotypical Asian American gal right here... I really do think my 9th house placements give me a curiosity more geared towards the people of a different culture as opposed to foreign country or culture as a whole. I do like to study sociology, but cultural psychology intrigues me to no end. IP: Logged |

I have Venus conjunct Mars/Chiron in the 9th house, and I always wanted to live and work abraod, since I was about 10 years old! It's been my dream! I LOVE different cultures and exotic places, but unfortunately have never really had the opportunity to see them in person. I now live 20 minutes from where I grew up, and work 40 minutes from where I live. I've never really been away from home, other than college. Of all my friends I was voted most likely to live abroad in a foreign place, meanwhile it turned out I was the only one to stay close to home. LOL! I still dream about far off places though! No other city feels more like home to me than London though....and I LOVE British men. I met an Aqua Brit last time I was there, (the best friend, of my best friend's husband) and he showed me London as it should be seen....at night! haha. I had the time of my life... IP: Logged |

I have Venus and Jupiter in Taurus in the 9th house and i love anything related to foreign countries and different cultures I just feel so good speaking with foreigners on a foreign language, i love it. And also to realize how amazing and colourful the world is! Until now i havent lived in abroad though, but i think its a possibility (I have Sag IC). And apart from foreign countries, i also interested in other things related to the 9th house, like religions, the Higher World etc. And i love being in places whihc are connected to this house, such as a church, a library or the editorial where i work. Otherwise, my bf and i have a bit of different religious background, and on paper he's from a different country. (oh, and my first love was a guy from the other side of the world with a very different cultural background) IP: Logged |

It's the usage of Venus IN 9th house arenas, eg overseas, in educational, legal, philosophical, religious institutions, wild nature. Venus rules possessions, romance/love/hobbies, values, partnerships.I have Venus (unaspected) in Sag/9th. Yes, I feel more connected when I'm o/s. I am not involved with a foreigner but I'm involved with someone who has a different religious standpoint to me for example (his Venus is in Gemini but not opposing). I do enjoy foreign cultures but also love my own and I've made money using my Venus in 9th house arenas. My Venus rules my 2nd and 7th house and Jupiter, dispositor of my Venus is on my ASC (Aries) in the 1st. IP: Logged |

my venus in in house nine in the whole sign system, and tenth in the placidus. i lived abroad 5 years from 22 to 27/28, now like gemgemgem, i live just around where i grew up. but i learned swahili in london and will have to get involved with east africa one day. i don't know what nationality will be my partner, but he could be from a different culture, i'd love that.
