As you might have already guessed, the question is,

What aspects/placements make someone have a vivid imagination ?

This is me to an extreme..I have to try sometimes not to live in my head.

I always thought Pisces placements had something to do with this..i agree with moon in aspect to neptune, too.

a person with a strong Neptune/Pisces/12th house

I am definitely one with:

Moon in Pisces
Moon square Neptune
Mercury parallel Neptune
Venus parallel Neptune
Mars square Neptune
Saturn oppose Neptune
Saturn contraparallel Neptune
Neptune sextile Pluto

direct midpoints:
Moon oppose Saturn/Neptune midpoint
Mercury conjunct Sun/Neptune midpoint
Sun conjunct Neptune/Pluto midpoint in Right Ascension
Moon oppose Neptune/Midheaven midpoint in Right Ascension

my Neptune is in 3rd, and that is said to be a big indicator for daydreaming.......it also an indicator for learning difficulties, if in hard aspect which is in my case.......it's mainly a nonlinear receptive, imaginative, intuitive, visualizing mind
My Mercury parallel Neptune,Mercury conjunct Neptune

I am primarily a picture thinker, and so I am a nonstop visualizer, always imagining things, seeing things in my mind's eye all the time

I have overfunctioning right brain hemisphere processing that interfere with left brain hemisphere processing. Of course,I had difficulties in early childhood. After therapies, the difficulties are more subtle now.

I want to point out that imagination doesn't necessarily mean fantasy. A lot of people equate imagination with fantasy

imagination can actually just mean the forming of mental images.

Yes, I agree, strong Neptune-influence.

I have no Moon-Neptune, but Neptune in 1st house conjunct Mars in 12th house, and ASC and NN in 1st house, and squaring chartruler Jupiter in Pisces.
Definitely a daydreamer here.

my mom is the same as me too, she told me that she would daydream a lot and has a vivid imagination. like mother like son. hahahaha. She also has the same thought processes like I do.

Sun in 12th
Pisces Midheaven
Neptune sesquiquadrate Midheaven
Neptune parallel Midheaven
Sun trine Neptune
Venus square Neptune
Uranus square Neptune
Neptune sextile Pluto

her Neptune in 5th which is said to be strong for creativity.....also Neptunian children such as me

direct midpoints:
Pluto conjunct Sun/Neptune midpoint
Ascendant oppose Neptune/Midheaven midpoint
Midheaven oppose Venus/Neptune midpoint

I agree that it's all neptune aspects or picses placements, I have no moon neptune aspect and I am the biggest daydreamer. I think I've lived half my life all inside my head. Even to the extent that I have lived many different lives and been many different people in my head. I also have no planets in pisces, what I do have is 8th house neptune(also have very vivid and prophetic dreams) square venus, my chart ruler, and square jupiter. I've read that jupiter neptune can lead to withdrawal and living private lives of dreaming and fantasy. Neptune is also exactly parallel mars in declination.

I also think daydreams and fantasies aren't only attributed to Neptune alone.

I have a 12th house stellium and I don't daydream like I used to when I was a child.

I think all signs daydream about different things.

i thinnk i qualify for this, unfortunately.

astrology wise: sun sextile neptune,
moon sextile neptune,
sun/moon midpoint conjunct neptune(less than 1 degree),
asteroid chimera exactly opposing sun/moon midpoint and neptunne,
saturn square neptune,
venus square neptune (oh, venus opposing saturn exactly but this doesnt count... does it?)
what else, oh yes, fortuna square neptune, sun/moon midpoint and chimera,
and finally venus, mercury, fortuna (part of fortune) and MC, all in pisces.
i should stop here.

real life experience:
im a gay man in love with a straight guy who lives in another country and whom i ve spend a couple of days with. but somewhere, despite the obvious fact that nothing will ever happen, i keep on planning my life as if one day he was going to change.

the good thing is that today i deactivated my facebook account which was the only link we still had together.

do i qualify?

also, in my 9th harmonic chart, neptune is conjunct ascendant.

(9th harmonic chart: from http://www.bobmarksastrologer.com/harmonics32.1.html

According to Hamblin, the 9th harmonic chart shows "…a person's capacity for joy and happiness," and it also "…shows the person's capacity to spread joy and happiness to those around (them).")

so i guess i could interpret it as: happy when daydreaming.

gosh i think im in for a bumpy ride in this life...

I have Pisces Moon in 3rd House, Neptune in the 1st house.

Mars opposed Neptune (or any aspect between these) - addicted to glamour which leads to daydreaming and fantasising. And if glamour can't be achieved then it can lead to other more deleterious situations.

Maybe 12th house ruled by Pisces or closer look at 12th house in general.

*raises hand*

-mercury opposite neptune
-Moon trine neptune
-Saturn (chart ruler), Neptune, uranus in the 12th
-Pisces on the 3rd house cusp
-Pisces NN

My whole chart is a mix of strong mercurial, lunar, neptune, and plutonian influence so its bound to happen. With the mercury, I can put these things on paper with pen.

I tend to daydream and fantasize alot. It's not something I can help, it just comes naturally. I daydream/fantasize rather obsessively about people, places, things and scenarios. I am also highly imaginative.

I have:

Moon in Pisces
Moon in the Eighth House
Moon Opposition Jupiter
Moon Square Neptune (Neptune is a singleton in 5th)
Moon Square Venus
Moon Square Mercury
Moon Trine Ascendant
Moon Trine Uranus
Moon Sextile Mars

Moon is my chart ruler.

I have Moon conjunct Neptune in the third house. My imagination/fantasies are sometimes enough to satisfy me rather than having real physical contact/exposure. I tend to correctly imagine things prior to the way they turn out. Either that or I initiate them into reality.

I also have Pluto in the first house well aspected to my Sun and Moon/Neptune.
