http://www.monthly-horoscope.com/196/april-2009-monthly-horoscope-mars-uranus-conjunction/

The exact aspect will form on April 15th 2009 and will influence the period 1st-22nd April.

It’s a dangerous, destructive aspect. Among the few positive effects of the Mars-Uranus conjunction are dynamism, determination, decision, immediate action, modernization, reform, technical creativity, scientific progress.

As regards the negative effects at a macro level, the Mars-Uranus conjunction brings serious accidents (car, air and train crashes), work accidents, faulty equipment and tools, electrocution and lightening stroke dangers, storms, natural catastrophes, attacks, revolts, violent confrontations, turnabouts on the stock-exchange and commercial markets.

The domains on which it will have strong impact are industry, army, police, firemen, medicine (surgery, dentistry, ambulance and emergency services), electricity, radiations, new, advanced techniques, rare preoccupations.

At a personal level, the Mars-Uranus combination will stir up nervousness, anxiousness, rebellion, independence, disputes or risky actions. It will predispose to turnabouts or sudden endings, to unexpected illnesses or accidents, to fights with friends or conflicts with the police.

The solution to avoid these manifestations is intense, coordinated physical exercise (for example, fitness training), conscious involvement in actions related to the domains affected by the conjunction (for example, a dental treatment), but also calm and prudence.

Beware of anything that has to do with electricity, guns, inflammable or explosive substances, tools, mechanisms, cars, etc.! Pay attention when crossing the railways!

Koiflower,

If I were you (IF I WERE YOU!) I would cancel that dentist appointment. You still have time to do it without the dentist penalizing you. That's what astrology is for. For example:

It's like a weather report. If you know that there is going to be a blizzard in two days, you cancel your motorcycle trip across the state. It's the same with this dental appointment. If I had a dental appointment that day, I would TOTALLY cancel it until a week or 2 later. Dentists make enough painful procedures, they wouldn't do it to me on Wednesday, that's for sure.

Consider it.

Geocosmic Valentine,

would April 29 be alright for taking off an orthodentic device? (the last stage of treatment, but followed but other things done by a 'normal' dentist)

this is such a weird period - Venus barely starts direct (it's in my 1st so I postponed it - it is about esthetics afterall) - then Mercury will be retro - and 29 is actually in the shadow period. I'm kinda lost here

- should I wait till june or will April 29 be good enough?

I would think that Venus direct in the 1st House would be great for getting orthodontics devices off specifically for the asthetic reasons. As for myself I don't worry about shadow periods when planets go direct. Mercury is a different energy than Venus so I wouldn't really worry.

Otherwise, without seeing your chart I can't totally judge if it's a weak or strong date.

Basically, the last of the Mars-Uranus conjunction makes almost any other date better, so go for it.

i wouldn't think a mars/uranus in pisces would be too terrible. the sign does make a difference. as a mars-in-cancer person i believe the loose conjunction i have natally with uranus is super positive, gives more oomph to the mile. and mars/uranus in gemini makes for a really lively mind...

linda would have definitely cautioned against using drugs, or operating on feet or lungs during such a conjunction, but i'm not sure ALL procedures would be so risky

Uhhhgg! I have this conj natally, it's out of sign, scorpio and sag, but it's angular in my 7th! I am so accident prone, I've been in so many car recks it's crazy, I can't even hardly ride a bicycle!

thank you, Geocosmic Valentine!

I worried about Mercury as representing doctors (because of Virgo). And I can't have any mistakes now that it's almost over. last time I had work done during Mercury retro, the lab technician kept getting things wrong; we're actually redoing some of it now! - so I'll keep away from dentists and doctors during Mercury retro for the rest of my life!

I wasn't sure about the time before it goes retro - that's ground it will pass over again by retro motion, so I was worried that things done then may have to be re-considered.

my chart, that day -
trMercury, in my 3rd, will be square to Saturn (rx, in Leo, in my 7th, BUT opp Asc) = I didn't like this, but it seemed to be the best day available in a lot of bad days.

tr Saturn, rx in my 7th is trine my Sun for the second time; I'm thinking that the third will be around the time everything will be completed - so I figured this is good.

The Moon will exactly oppose my CAP Venus (in the 11th) and square my NN;

tr Chiron is conj my Asc,
trNeptune has been conj my Asc till a few days ago, and
trJupiter will be conj my Asc soon (Asc 25AQU09);
So tr Chiron, Neptune, Uranus, Venus and Mars in my 1st.

I don't know if I have a bad feeling about doing this or I'm just not ready to move on

Geocosmic Valentine!

Thanks for your advice. This is what happened! I read your advice late in the day and was expected at the appointment or otherwise expected to pay for cancelling.

I turned up to the dentist after experiencing discomfort with eating/chewing for 3 weeks.

He tapped, prodded and asked me to bite down in various places. It didn't hurt. So he didn't do anything.

I left paying the consultation fee, with no other work done. That night at dinner time, it hurt to chew!! And has continued to hurt as usual...!!!
Conclusion: Mars/Uranus conjunctions are deadly for dentist visits - you're still left with the same problem and no solution!!!

I really doubt a Mars/Uranus conjunction in the sky will have much bearing on a dentist visit. If there is something bad in your own PERSONAL chart, then fine.

Most of what is written about Mars/Uranus conjunction seems bad. I would like to see what they say for an opposition/square and Quincunx....or is it about the same?
