I don't really pay much attention to my node or how it impacts my life.

Im curious to know if anyone else has a north node in scorpio or the 8th house & how this manifests.

I notice people with North Node in Scorpio seem to be really laid back, and very attached to money. Believes in Republican values, etc.

I have my NN in Sco/8th. For the record, I won't vote Republican because I don't live in the US.

For me, it manifests in the fact that I like to be dependent on myself and make my own money (SN 2nd/Tau, not that that has happened in a while for me these days). Sco/8th house NN manifests in letting go of self in these pursuits and to rely on others to help you out financially or otherwise. These days, Mr 23 takes care of the finances. I've also taught myself maybe to be less interested in possessions, this has only started to happen this year. When I left home, I had few personal possessions (although I did have a heap of clothing for example which was collected over the years) and I bought heaps of personal things - eg books, jewellery, bags, nice vases etc). I guess this is the security I was seeking from my SN when I was bored and unchallenged but I've stopped doing that this year. A lot of the buying for example has not really satisfied me, I've got a lot of lovely stuff that I like to get out and look at but if I were not to have it, I don't think I'd die. Mr 23 also has similar issues too as his NN is in Sco (but in his 10th) and he has cut down and helped me being materially minimalist. I think Sco/8th house NN allows you to disconnect from the material world and connect in a deeper world that is dependent on seeing what the other is like and trusting to rely on them.

For me personally, my NN is also conj my Vx (and has no other aspects). Pluto, the ruler of these two points in Sco is in Libra/DC. I've in my life been in Sco based fields but also I've noticed that I'm very interested in deeply exploring other people (Vx, Pluto on DC). Astrology has helped me a lot in that I get to explore other people and see how they are through astrology. I really love to tap into the deeper things and more visceral things, I love to be able to read between the lines and see how things relate (used to be very prominent in a few of my former jobs). I think also having p-Merc approaching n-Pluto has helped my NN a lot too.

I have NN and moon in 8th. I don't know what you mean by manifest, but my emotions are deep and can be very anti social at times.

I have NN in the 8th house in Scorpio and this pretty much explains it -

The passionate Scorpio nature feels its way through life, sensing undercurrents and daring to look deeply to find the emotional bottom line. In order to move towards the heights of your Scorpio North Node you need to relax your concerns around money, security, and possessions as well as being willing to risk losing your current level of comfort to gain a higher state of power and vitality.

Can you leave behind tendencies to possessiveness and attachment and open up to the excitement of change? Will you dare to look deeply and bravely into the underworld, into 'the other side of the question' and into the places where the deepest level of truth resides? Superficial “people pleasing” is not for you. You are meant to look into the eyes of the murderer and find the frightened unloved child there. You are meant to know the whole story, and to travel the roads many of us declare unsafe.

The eagle, the phoenix, and the scorpion are the symbols of Scorpio, and like the eagle you were meant to fly high and be powerful, and like the phoenix, you are meant to risk dying and being reborn, knowing you are a survivor. As you dare to delve into the mysteries of life, you come up with deep treasure.

The third symbol of the scorpion hints at the shadow side of this sign which can see all aspects of truth, including that which is not always full of light and joy. The wisdom of the Scorpio nature evolves because it has dared to explore the dark, the taboo, the unspoken, and then takes this ability to see and embrace the dark and transform it. It's a high calling and that's why North Node Scorpios are often the best doctors, healers, investigators, and friends to have in times of crisis.

Scorpios are the truth-tellers of the zodiac. In the old storybook tale it was probably a Scorpio who told the emperor he had no clothes on. Because you are good at delving into the minds of others, you can be intense, yet your Soul yearns to deeply relate to others and benefits by working in partnership. Let yourself explore and experience what sex, money, God, and politics can teach you. Go where others have not, and let yourself experience it all. Be brave, for like the cat with many lives, you too have many lives to live.

When you come to a turning point in the Scorpio-Taurus path you're ready to retrieve the gold in the shadow of your Taurus South Node. You can now relax into enjoying the fruit of your passions. For example, turn the grist from the mill of your life into something creative and pleasing. Have you ever tried singing or songwriting? (Taurus rules the throat and singing.) Or writing a mystery novel or screenplay? Own your experiences by creatively giving birth to something that is uniquely you.

Soul Purpose: Integrating your instinctual goodness and vulnerability with a willingness to do the hard and often conflictual work of making both relationships and career “work” for you. You have to go deeper than you may be comfortable with, and learn to move beyond “goodness” into wholeness. This means having the ability to withdraw negative projections from others, and to see with compassion where you may have control issues, sexual hungers, and feelings that are sometimes less than nice. You are meant to make peace with you own “inner scorpion.” Doing this will give you a power and charisma that will make you successful in whatever areas of life you choose to dwell in.

Shadow: Trying to keep everything safe and predictable. You are called to the edge to look at the complexities of life and the moral ambivalence and paradoxes of life. Not an easy thing to do! Being lazy and going for the creature comforts only puts you back into old habits. Release any addiction to financial security as being the “bottom line.”

I have North Node in Scorpio 5th house

I'm actually an anxious person, but I try to be non judgemental about people as best as I can. I like material items, but I only like them if they're useful,I usually don't collect clothes, dolls, knick knacks etc,but I will collect things that assist me in my goals. I've even been known to throw out/give away multiple material items when I get really upset about something. I don't vote republican, I'm neutral. :-)

I found a cool website that describes scorpio north node in the different houses.
http://www.astrologykarmaandyou.com/scorpio.htm

HOUSE 5: Creativity

Well, one thing's for certain: the more you come into the intense, penetrating Scorpio energy you're learning about, the deeper you're going to be able to drill into your own creative core, and you can expect that whatever you bring forth will reverberate with the power you retrieve from that exploration. Perhaps you'll create paintings saturated with vibrant color that evoke deep, primitive responses. Perhaps it will be writing that vibrates with emotional truth and passion, and wrenches the heart of the reader. Regardless of method or genre, it will be work that asks - even compels - whoever encounters it to engage fully in it and perhaps even be transformed somehow because of the encounter. Yes, it can be unsettling: unsettling to yourself and unsettling to others. Scorpio is a Truth Teller, and if the truth be dark or heart-wrenching, so be it. And one more thing: Let's not forget that Scorpio is also about passionate, deep, and transformative bonding, so it may well be that the exploration of your own creative depths will be in the company of an equally courageous and passionate Fifth House companion. Remember, love affairs are represented in this part of the chart. If that happens, just be sure not to fuse to the point where you lose track of your own uniqueness. Welcome to an intense, exciting stretch of the karmic highway.

Your South Node in the Eleventh House can provide a real challenge, especially at the outset. Taurus energy is in that node, and Taurus is never in any big hurry to change or relocate. You can expect that identification with group values and ideals has been firmly established in the karmic past and that it will take Herculean effort to leave the comforts of belonging and acceptance as one of the "gang" in order to embark on the deep explorations you've signed on for in this lifetime. And if the Fifth House adventure gets too deep or too scary, it can be very tempting to fall back into the comforts of those associations and stall on your path North, lingering too long in the delights of communal camaraderie, too dependent on an okay from your pals before you'll set out again on your own path.

Go ahead, take the plunge. You're ready.

NO, and no means 'no' Maybe by some other house system. I would admit defeat in the house question, but I don't want them to be right. You know me. Obviously not. 7th in whole sign, along with Venus.
