Hi everyone, I'm new here and after browsing through the recent topics, I picked up on the number of relationships involving venus scorpio and venus aquarius (or maybe it's just my imagination).I think this is pretty cool considering venus scorp and aqua have completely different styles of love. One seeks deep, passionate, all-consuming, on-of-a-kind love. The other regards love as friendship and often (unfairly) perceived as detached and aloof. To those of you with these placements in your relationship (or any other textbook clashing venus placements), how do you maintain the connection and work around the differences? What aspects in your relationship help you reach a common ground? Is Venus THAT important in a relationship? I have venus scorpio and my bf has venus aquarius. At times I am baffled by his idea and expression of "love". For example, he doesn't like to hold hands or be clingy in public, but i find it nice. He talks about his exes and past relationships without much discretion while i'm fuming away quietly waiting to erupt. When i'm feeling jealous at obvious things, he is left confuzzled. lol and the list goes on... I think astrology helped me a lot in understanding different ideas of love other than my own. I also have moon conjunct uranus and mars aquarius so i can be a bit emotionally restless and "detached" myself. We have a lot of positive aspects between the sun and the moon, and i guess that helps too  . IP: Logged |

i have venus in Scorpio and my boyfriend of 4 years has venus in Aquarius. he needs a lot of space, and hates when i get clingy. if i get mad at him for being distant, he stays quiet, which gets me even more mad, and then he eventually stays away from me for awhile until i've cooled down. but ofcourse, i'm only getting more riled up and thinking he's over me and there's another girl involved lol.although, we get on really well, more than any other person i know, and he's VERY open to me, like he talks about his feelings, which he wouldn't with anyone else. also, friends are super important to him, and i respect that. i think he understands me, and my need to have him for myself, but i understand him and his need to have his own time, and do the things he wants to do whether alone or with frirnds. he's very commited, although during the start of our relationship he did go out with someone else behind my back. but i assume it was 'cause he though us of friends, and he thought i wouldn't have a problem with it. although my venus in Scorpio just blew up, and since i became so close to him, even though we weren't exactly a couple, i was furious and vengeful, like "how dare he even THINK of betraying me like this??!?!", and it took me years to forgive and slowly forget. but now, it's been 4 years and we've grown so much together, i'm no longer as jealous and possesive, and he isn't as flighty and detached. we have our arguments and differences, but it just makes it that much more interesting between us. i love listening to him, and he loves explaining all these concepts and things to me. and when my venus gets "activated", and i look after him and care for him, that's when his mars in Taurus comes into play, and he's very protective and gentle, like a whole new side to him. and we do have sun conjunct moon, so i guess that helps with our relationship. I think the difference between the two squared venus signs (scorp and aqua) intrigues both people involved.
The Scorpio person is intrigued by the Aquas ability to keep a level head when dealing with matters of the heart..and the aqua is intrigued by scorpios extreme passion. Two completely foreign takes on the matter to each...
I think that both venus' can learn from the other and hopefully come to a compromise somewhere in the middle where love would be at its healthiest (the happy medium). I think squared venus' could be beneficial if both people are willing to grow.
I'm a venus scorp and my boyfriend is venus in leo..so its kinda a similar situation...only that leo is fire so much more passionate than aqua..but again different viewpoints.
Where it couldnt work would be when the mans venus is squared the womans mars..in any sign. The initial attraction might be there..but not for long, a womans mars and mans venus never lies..thats what we are looking for in a mate..and sexually its just too different to ever work.IP: Logged |

I can really relate to a lot of the things you're describing lol especially suspicion about another girl, and the seeing another girl incident.
My bf has mars and asc virgo and a packed 4th house, so there is a certain stability and groundedness to him
May I ask what your sun, moon and mars are?ScorpioCentaur, yes that intrigue and growth is definitely there Do you think for squared venus' to appreciate each other, each person must also have aspects of the sign of the other's venus in their chart also? For example, my bf has pluto-moon and pluto-venus, and i have moon-uranus and mars aqua. What are your charts like? Also, the fact squared signs have the same quality, in this case, they are all fixed. Do you think that is another beneficial characteristic between squared venus' (especially in fixed signs, more so than, say, in mutable signs)? IP: Logged | |
