Currently, Transit Saturn is exactly opposite my natal Saturn by 0°. Transit Saturn is also conjunct my natal Venus, Uranus and Pluto by 0-2°.

Technically I could regard this as a half-Saturn Return.

During my Saturn Return (15 years ago) I went through a painful breakup. During this Saturn transit, I'm being forced to look at relationships in an honest way again. It's really painful.

Have you encountered a similar situation in a half-Saturn Return with your Saturn Return? Whether good or challenging? I guess you have to be in your forties to be able to answer! LOL!!

p.s. my progressed Pluto and Uranus is conjunct transit Saturn by 1°, adding to the pressure cooker feel..!!!

Dearest Koiflower - I hope (I know!) you will be able to cope with this "stellar challenge". I'd love to add some more substantial support on this matter! All I can do is ... share some impression I just recently received (this week) from someone whom I know very well ... and who shares these transits with you.;-) (Your "astro-twin", he's running through the same, at the moment: t. Saturn (wandering through his 12th) oppos. his Saturn (in his 6th) / t. Saturn also conjuncting his Uranus-Pluto-cj. in his 12 th. / AND his progr. Uranus und Pluto also cj. t. Saturn by 1 dg.)

After all, we're still (!) in contact - and he really started to "fight" for our thing, from my impression. He even suggested an "honest/serious talk" about all that - and managed to really admit and explain many things that had happened with us in the past. (All of that surprised me a bit - I got the impression that he REALLY wants to "change" things. There's a whole new "tone" in what he's saying and how he's saying it - and this "tone" has increased over the last 6-10 weeks.)

My impressions of his current mood would be sketched like this:

# definitely eager to "clean up" his closet, to erase misunderstandings - and he's a bit impatient with that, also not satisfied with supferficial talks and all - NOT really in a "joking mood"

# this obviously does not only go for our little personal (love-)story - but it seems to be about his personal position/place in life also. he just told me that he applied for a new job - which is quite a surprise - because he HAD changed his whole job just last summer! so ... after about 9 months ... he doesn't feel satisfied with this one anymore, obviously ... hm.

# when telling me about these new job-talks, he also alluded that the new job would be a very good thing, lots of money etc. included - but he alluded, that some of the people there don't want to have him - they wouldn't "trust" him, he alluded. so he'll have to go through additional talks next week ... in my impression: he craves that new job - but seems aggravated about this at the same time ...feels "pressured" by "wrong perceptions about him" in a way .. (?)

# going with that potential job-change is this: in his current position he is working with much younger people in a superficial "lifestyle climate", has to deal with dull and silly matters - even though he is the "boss" there. and he told me before, that he wants to work in more "serious" (intellectual) surroundings again. only ... this need grew enormous over a small amount of time, obviously.

# yeah - to me it seems as if he REALLY wanted to clean up his life, sort out the weed from the chaff (can you say so?) - and this seems URGENT to him - and he's not in the mood for compromises, currently ... and he might feel ... a bit alone on this.

Actually: From my perspective, watching him carefully and basically - and I like(d) him a lot - gosh, I love(d) him a lot! -... I do like what I see with him now. He's willing to change - or feels "forced to"? I do believe, that this has something to do with his feeling of "aging" too ... He wants to be in the appropriate "life position" now, being in his Mid-40s ...not "fooling around" anymore maybe ... this is a good thing. From my very personal perspective I see: he's struggling a bit - you better leave that man alone for a while ..;-) But he's on the right path! ;- Maybe this is some sort of exhaustive ... "turbo-evolvement" for him. With my sympathetic/emphatic view from afar, I'd say: This may be a time full of pressure - he is NOT satisfied with many things - he's especially wary about how people "see" him - he wants to be perceived in the RIGHT way - personally (with me, for instance) and professionally - he feels a need to rush into changes - but basically ... these changes probably will do him good, at the end.

All the best for you too!

Absolutely. I had my half-return at about 14, which everyone would have then. Fourteen could be considered as the start of puberty maybe. I have my Sun opp my Saturn in my natal chart, so when I had my half-return, my t-Saturn was also conj Sun and opp n-Saturn. My Sun btw is in the 10th, Saturn in the 4th, MC in Cap. I definitely felt it. I felt it in that all of a sudden I became very disciplined at school, that was when my ambitions started to form as to what I was going to do. I started developing a reputation at school for being very sober (or nerdy depending on who you talked to) and other students started noticing this in me. They found me very dour, conservative etc. I was also arguing a lot with my parents at home (typical teenage stuff) and felt very isolated from them at that time. For me, success and coming first through hard work was my main priority, this was noticed by others. A lot of that actually was lost when Saturn moved away from my Sun and then I had to endure some blasts from Ura and Nep.

Every 7 years SATURN makes a strong aspect with itself or a major planet and these aspects happens in every persons Horoscope. SUN, MOON, MARS, ASCENDANT; being the major planets. These SATURN transits have great effects on all individuals lives. The best known book about this phenomenon is call PASSAGES by Gail Sheehe. Sheehe hides ASTROLOGY in the context of a long psychology essay.

The SATURN Cycles

Age 0 - 6/7. [1/4 SATURN cycle]
At birth the human child is totally dependent on it's mother, it's parents and others in it's immediate environment. At this age a human child cannot survive by itself. It will be at least 3 or 4 years after birth before the very smartest of children could survive by itself. This SATURN cycle is when all the basic survival skills and ethics should be taught to the offspring. ETHICS are different than MORALS.

Age 7 - 13/14. [1/2 SATURN cycle]
The child begins to really socialize during this SATURN cycle. Children also start to break away from the tight control of their parents. Most kids gain some independence and a few could survive by themselves well . The later part of this cycle is when a real sex education should begin, actually the earlier the better. The huge number of Teenage Pregnancies in the United States is utterly ridiculous and a social travesty.

Age 14 - 20/21. [3/4 SATURN cycle]
HORMONES! Puberty is the beginning of this SATURN cycle. The child normally grows to full adult size during this period and has to adjust to all the hormonal changes it's body is going through including the possibility of becoming a parent. Learning social skills and mental development is what Mother Nature has in mind for this time frame.

Unfortunately most adult humans are forever stuck at this age of development, both socially and intellectually. The proof of this assertion being the current worldwide social structure which is pretty much based on a Junior High School mentality, i.e. Insecure and possessive relationships dominated by a clique values.

Age 21 - 28/29. [1st Full SATURN cycle]
Near the end of this SATURN cycle a human being finally becomes a psychological adult, i.e. breaks away from it's parent's influences and really understands both responsibility and begins it's own life. A period when most people should begin their careers after an apprenticeship period. But instead many human beings are starting a family while they themselves are still too young to be responsible enough. It's really hard for any person to know who they really are until this cycle is over. The keyword is experience and it has many advantages.

Age 28 - 35. [1 1/4 SATURN cycles]
Most work very hard at their chosen careers and/or family's during SATURN'S second go-around. This SATURN cycle is the time when the majority should begin their family's, after their careers have "come together", the really smart people follow this pattern. But most actually started a family 10 years earlier. As the end of this cycle approaches some people begin to find a health problem or two. It is also a point in many peoples lives when they begin to realize that they have limitations.

Age 35 - 42. [1 1/2 SATURN cycles]
During this SATURN cycle is the point when a lot of people realize that their life is 1/2 over and if they want something in that LIFE, they had better do it soon or forget it. For men in particular as 40 approaches this has been the time when many seem to go into a second childhood [at least that's what is incorrectly thought by most people]. These people are just reaching for their true goals. Today women can use the same excuse to make significant changes in their lives.

Age 43 - 50. [1 3/4 SATURN cycles]
This SATURN cycle is the "minor" power and wealth age. Many corporate and political type individuals begin to achieve their goals but must watch their health. Go-getter's who are climbing the ladder of success sometimes die of stress related diseases at this point in their lives. Stress management is very important to all.

Age 51 - 58 or 60. [2nd full SATURN cycle]
This is the end of the second SATURN transit of the Zodiac and today it is also the life expectancy of some adults. It's the distinguished power age and the major wealth age. This is the point in LIFE where many make their highest achievements, that is unless you are a politician or entertainer.

Age 59 - 66. [2 1/4 SATURN cycles]
Many politicos become very successful during this SATURN cycle. The Distinguished years, a time to wield the money and power that a person has achieved. Another time to be careful about your health however.

Age 66 - 73. [2 1/2 SATURN cycles]
This SATURN cycle is the Retirement age for most people but not for some politicians who achieve their zenith during this period. A lot of folks plan to do those things they have always wanted to do during this interlude of their life.

Age 74 - 81. [2 3/4 SATURN cycles]
This SATURN cycle can be very rewarding for those who are healthy and lucky to be alive. Most of those left begin to experience fragility as their 80's begin.

Age 82 - 89 or 90. [3 full SATURN cycles]
This SATURN cycle usually brings passing on but there are a few who are really lucky to still be alive. All but the most virile become very fragile souls. Very, very few people live beyond this SATURN cycle.

Yes koi. I most certainly do believe.
I had an epiphany during mine. One day my whole belief system, my way of living my life and everything just changed.
i am not speaking about a religious conversion here, just a realization that was so profound it was if scales had fallen from my eyes.
I have been a changed person from that day on. A shaft of light actually came through the window and enveloped me (I kid you not!)and I uttered a sentence which transformed me for ever.
All that was lacking was a bloomin' choir of angels!
Like I said it wasn't religious but a strange awakening at a very difficult period in my life and I will never forget it.
. Did my life get easier from that moment on? Hell no! But I just knew everything was o.k with me from that day.
It's utterly liberating if you allow it to be. Enjoy!

I started my Saturn half-return in the last year of high school. Worst year of my life.

Capricorn rules 12th. I didnt smoke at all, very anti-smoking. Didnt do drugs at that time. Did drink, but not like these young rebels on street corner.

Didnt join any secret society, that I know of. Although my school seemed the type.

Thanks Alverella - I'm glad you're making positive connections with astro twin! It's seems he is in a 'building' mode - building bridges, re-establishing links, maybe some healing. My situation seems the opposite - facing dysfunctions, realising I need to keep away from certain family members (which is extremly hard with Sun in 4th house and Gemini and NN in the 3rd house of siblings and connections). Each facet of life feels 'squeezed' and 'suffocating'. I want to turn my back on all surrounding dysfunctional attitudes.

HOWEVER, one thing my deep intuitive side is tuning into is....... I'm picking up healing energy from people around me. It's as though I instinctively know which people are harmless and have enough emotional intelligence to be the safe people to commune with. I'm finding this extremely healing, just being in their presence and sharing conversation. Who know, maybe astro twin is having a revelation of who to hang with because of emotional health.

23 - Your Sun must always be a part of a Saturn aspect if it's opposite your Saturn. Maybe it's a good thing, offering you protection from Saturn's stern lessons and providing you with vitality when Saturn wears you down!! Having Aries Asc, you would love the Sun's influence in your life!

Would the blasts from Uranus and Neptune be another story?

Peri - this is awesome information!! This is especially poignant re Age 14 - 20/21.....

quote:
Unfortunately most adult humans are forever stuck at this age of development, both socially and intellectually. The proof of this assertion being the current worldwide social structure which is pretty much based on a Junior High School mentality, i.e. Insecure and possessive relationships dominated by a clique values.

I'm inclined to believe this, based on general discussions with some folk. Did you know the typical script on tv is for an adolecscent mind? How many adults worship tv shows? That gives a great indication of an adult's mentality.

I must be in the 1.5 Saturn cycle due to transit Saturn's conjunction, although I'm 43 and according to your article, ought to be in the minor power and wealth age. The one statement that jumps out is 'stress management'. My attention to life has recently gone onto this area. It's very important to take stock of ones response to external stressors. Interesting to read about stress, just as I've become proactive in managing mine!!

bunnies - that is an incredible experience you had!!!! I've been in a similar situation, but got the choir of angels as well

You say "I kid you not" and I totally believe you! I love it when people share these moments with others. It DOES happen!!!It's is liberating. It can open our eyes and offer us a new paradigm in which to view the world. Okay Saturn, I need your shaft of light to shine down on me and give me the answers (right now would be convenient)!!!

Have you written about the long term impact this has had on your life? I would love to hear more about it!!! (Post a link )

Zala - that's a great piece of work. I especially will ponder the statement about certain (childlike) behaviours being natural responses for self-correcting - an enforced crisis facilitates a change, so acting out emotions can self-correct our life's path, so to speak. There's also a mention how this Saturn aspect can enforce a change!!! Well, yep, I believe that!! I'll re-read this article.

swirl-kitt - I'm afraid this is true of all life. However, the good news is that dying with no regrets is less painful and living with regrets means living with no dreams, so dream like there's no tomorrow!!

Coffee - joining a secret society isn't really your forte. You're way too honest for this career option! Capricorns are passionate lovers and being in the 12th means you're make a great amoureux secret. So look forward to your next half-Saturn return
