if the ruler of the asc, is at 29 degrees, what does that mean?
like the asc is at virgo, and mercury is at 29 degrees..is that significant to the question?

I should have asked
  • the question
      as in what was yours?
And it works best if you have a natal to compare, with yours, and *the question* But off the top, and to be obvious....this is mental? And Uranus on the DC....change in how the person is thinking about themselves [closest aspect is Sun] in relation to hopes, wishes, dreams and adjustment to fears or woundeness [Chiron] to ego? Just quick here.
  • Edit I see structure here in creative use of the emotion involved with the question, it has focus and direction.

yeah i figured mercury at 29 degrees must be significant because of it being about a letter.

Mercury is in the end of a sign/house, about to move into the next one. Mercury represents you in this horary. Also his 4th house by way of Gemini.

You are currently end of a Taurus/9th type situation which will then start as a Gemini/10th type situation.

    quote:

I asked: did my letter get to him emotionally?

Your letter is your 3rd house, which is Scorpio. Ruler PLUTO.

His emotions could be represented by 4th house - natural place of Moon.
Ruler of his 4th is MERCURY.

Mercury Quicunx Pluto is not the best aspect. Which means I say no, not really.
Obviously it got to him emotionally, but in what way? That is what I understand your phrasing as.

Mercury will move backwards soon and the issue will likely keep going for a while longer yet.

Jupiter is not aspecting mercury so IF this is a straight forward yes/no then it's no.
If you take the 3rd then pluto still not aspecting mercury as out of orb, no Coffee??

    I THINK!

    Hello Writesomething,

The question is about "him" and how he feels. He is represented by the 7th House and it's traditional ruler which is Jupiter. I don't remember how wide the aspect orbs are for Horary Astrology but the only aspect Jupiter makes is the square with Mercury.

Mercury rules the ASC. The ASC is "you" and the Moon is also "you". So the Moon is representing you and the question is about emotions. The Moon in the 10th House has some significance, especially being in Cancer and the MC is Gemini, probably significant of correspondence/communication. So there you have emotions related to correspondence. That is only expressing the question, not the answer.

Jupiter square Mercury doesn't really say yes in Horary. Horary is usually pretty clear cut that Squares and Oppositions are "negative" or "no". The square is a little under 6 degrees.

And about the 29th degree Mercury. I read recently that the 29th degree means the situation as already happened or that the querent (you) already knows the answer before the question is asked.

Have you had feedback yet? Or do you think you already know the answer.

One thing I'm curious about, where is the asteroid "YES" in this chart? I would have looked for it on my own but I don't know the time or place for this chart.
