I found this in a old thread on LL, this is a great book BTW that I recommend a lot: There is a book called "An Encyclopaedia of Psychological Astrology" by C.E.O. Carter he writes:
Astrology, Interest in. Uranus is traditionoally the astrolological planet, and this is probably correct, at least as regards the deeper aspects of the science. At the same time prominent astrologers have not always had this planet pronouncedly strong in their nativities, and the excessive conversatism and love of traditional authority that has characterized almost all astrological students up to the very recent times-and many even now-hardly point to a Uranian rulership. Even at the present time one often reads "appeals to Ptolemy" which are as anachronistic as an attempt by a medical specialist to support his contentions out of the pages of Galen or Hippocrates. This implies that Saturn has much to do with astrology and its students. Further, as in all branches of knowledge, the mental planets Mercury and Jupiter are important, and several notable astrologers have been born under Gemini and Sagittarius. Leo, Virgo, Libra and Scorpio are also common ascendants. The special zodical areas associated with Astrology are beyond question those around 27 degrees Leo-Aquarius and 11 degrees Virgo-Pisces. Referring to the nativities of notable students we find, with regard to the former, that Alan Leo has Saturn in 27 Leo, and "Kymry" in 24 Leo; Wm Lilly had Neptune in 29 Leo; H. S. Green his asc. and Ralph Shirley his M.C. in 27 Leo; Dr. Sibley had Merc, Ven, and Uranus close to 26 Aqua. Paul Choisnar, Sun, Merc 25-27 Aqua, "Sepharial" had Ven 29 Aqua,;Dr. Garnett, Uran.27 Aqua. Numerous other instances could be quoted and 11 deg. Virgo-Pisces is almost as much to the fore. *then there is a chart posted* IP: Logged |

I have nothing in Virgo and nothing in Aquarius, but I have Mercury (ruler of Virgo) in good aspect to Uranus (ruler of Aquarius) and feel as Uranian person because my Uranus is the best planet in my Chart. IP: Logged |

I want to point out about the Uranus Nodes aspects to Uranus Nodes are like aspect to Uranus they are much slower moving than outerplanets. They have more to do with the collective when I was born
I have Geocentric South Uranus Node in 12'04 Sagittarius in 4th house conjunct my Imum Coeli in 11'14 Sagittarius and oppose my Midheaven in 11'14 Gemini. astrologers born with a planet, luminary, point 11 degrees Virgo/Pisces would have it squared by the South Geocentric Uranus Node I have Geocentric North Uranus Node in 15'46 Gemini in my 10th trine my Uranus in 15'17 Libra in 2nd.
Heliocentric Uranus Nodes in 13'51 Gemini/Sagittarius in my 10th and 4th houses square my Ascendant/Descendant axis in 13'27 Virgo/Pisces.
Heliocentric South Stargazer Node in 13'43 Virgo in my 1st conjuncts my Ascendant with the Heliocentric North Stargazer Node in 13'43 Pisces in my 7th conjunct my Descendant. All heliocentric nodes of objects are very slow moving, and so all of them have to do with the collective
the heliocentric Uranus Nodes and the heliocentric Stargazer Nodes have always been squaring each other within 1 degree. My Mars is in 25'54 Aquarius in 6th,and that's not close enough to the astrologer's degree
I have Uranus in 2nd trine Midheaven with 4'04 any way,and that can indicate that I can be a professional astrologer. I also read that my Chiron sextile Midheaven with 42 minutes of arc can indicate a career in Astrology too. Chiron was also an astrologer in mythology. I can have a career in the healing arts in general.
My North Lunar Node in Aquarius in 5th trine Midheaven with 45 minutes of arc also could be an indicator for a professional astrologer. Chiron sextiles my North Lunar Node with 2 minutes of arc too. Both Geocentric South Neptune Node in 9'35 Aquarius and Heliocentric South Neptune Node in 11'20 Aquarius conjunct my North Lunar Node in 10'30 Aquarius and trine my Midheaven in 11'14 Gemini. That can indicate a career that involves spirituality and idealism. I also believe that my Eris sextile Midheaven with 1'01 orb fits with a career in Astrology in regards to a career that involves being divergent, controversial, but also fits with equal rights matters and advocacy too. I do want to be a professional astrologer that specializes in neurodivergence, especially want to use Astrology to help neurodivergent children. I wouldn't mind specializing in Child Neuropsychological Astrology. I also want to point out that the heliocentric Jupiter Nodes are in 10 degrees Cancer/Capricorn
the heliocentric Chiron Nodes are in 29 degrees Libra/Aries Raymond

The Chiron node is interesting Raymond, as my Sun (29 degrees Libra) is conjunct it; I guess I am the king of pain. IP: Logged |

"The Chiron node is interesting Raymond, as my Sun (29 degrees Libra) is conjunct it; I guess I am the king of pain."That's awesome. That means that you have collective karma when it comes to not just wounds, pain, but also healing, teaching, mentoring as well as overall holistic matters. It also fit with being involved with special needs matters like being a special education teacher. I also wonder if there were any wounds, pain involving your father as well as other important men in your life. according to Cosmobiologist Pamela Rowe,
CHIRON NODES express care for the wounded soul, lessons learnt or taught. http://www.astrologycosmobiology.com.au/planetary_nodes.html Raymond

Nice article!I have my MC ruler Mercury at 27 Aqua, in the 3rd house, but would not be so bold as to call myself any shade of astrologer . (My sun is at 14 Pisces, but thats way out of orb for that to count) Glaucus thank you for that informative and very useful discussion on Nodes and Uranus - I definitely learned something new right there. Well, as they say, you learn something new every day! My Sun/Chiron Node conjunction gives me an additional reason why special ed kids are attracted to me like moths to a flame and why my relationships with them come so naturally. Also, there are serious issues concerning my father and me. He abandonned me when I was 9 years old and I still have a terrible time trusting men. In fact, my abandonment (Pluto also?) caused me to try and commit suicide several times in my teens...the trauma was still that deep. Thanks for the link also Raymond. I'm going to check it out and see what else I can discover. You truly are an amazing individual! IP: Logged |
