okay this is confusing. so if you're asking a question but you have a light grasp on horary, why would you ask it when things don't look promising? and if you wait till things DO look promising (good aspects), how does that actually translate into a valid perspective on the outcome? maybe i'm missing something.. I mean you could cheat but it wouldn't be a valid answer. Horary charts REFLECT outcomes, they don't AFFECT outcomes.IP: Logged |

Like if you're sitting there wondering in abstract thoughts about someone, formulate the question so that it's coherent (if you want say it out loud, that's what I do) and then look at the time.IP: Logged |

Yeah, you formulate the question in your mind clearly (preferably write it down) and then cast the chart.IP: Logged |

yeah but what i mean is, if you're the kinda person who follows transits pretty closely, you would know not to ask a question at times when there are difficult aspects, right? so do you just stop following aspects, then, to get a less biased view? know what i mean?IP: Logged |

Interesting, I've thought about that too. XD Hmm I'm not too attentive about transits, but maybe I'm a bit biased too sometimes, yet my trick is to ask the question when I can picture the question clearly in my mind, and when I feel (intuitively) that it's the right moment. But well.. the first time I've ever made a horary chart, I've got a strong feeling that it was the moment. Curiously, it reflected the situation I was afraid to see, yet things still went well. In fact, the chart could be interpreted in two different conclusions, and almost every skilled astrologers pointed out the bad ending, yet the happy ending won out.. So sometimes, there are more than one way to interpret it, so we have to use our intuition. But well, or maybe it was a divine punishment, for being silly and worried what I shouldn't worry lol. ^_^; IP: Logged |

Hi Woah City,I would love to take a cruise around the world right now, but being an astrologer who follows the transits closely, it would be kind of dumb for me to ask the question, "Will I be traveling around the world next week?" when I know that the Moon rules my 9th House of long distance travel and transiting Saturn is about to conjunct my Moon and stay in that area for the next 3 to 4 months. Saturn conjunct Moon in Horary astrology would be an automatic NO! Being an astrologer, I have a general awareness of what's going on in my chart and I plan accordingly. I already know that it's not a good astrological season for me to be traveling, I know that it's a good time for me to make business plans and to organize my needs around law issues, religious issues, publishing issues, and higher education ambitions. If you read Horary Charts for people who aren't astrologers, then you will be useful to them if they have the same kind of chart I have. You can tell them the chart suggests that there will be no long distance travel for the next 3 months. Do you understand? IP: Logged |

okay yes! based on all's answers i think i understand.. since it's a reflection of current energetic/planetary patterns the Q would necessarily have to be compatible within the dynamics of what is currently transpiring, kinda thing, right?IP: Logged |

To add to what geo said:Who keeps track of the transiting ascendant anyway? Like I know right now that Venus and Mars are in Aries, but I won't know if those will be the significators of my question. IP: Logged |
