Does this aspect tend to make someone slightly out of tune with their emotions? I know someone with Leo Sun square Scorpio Moon, and I haven't really noticed these negative tendencies with this person at all. But the interpretations I read are so harsh, are there any positive qualities to this aspect?

This person also has a tight Venus square Mars aspect as well, talk about the conflicting yin and yang. Here is the chart if your curious:

You know what? You will notice people who square your main planets immediately. The square is a very active and energetic aspect. Often this will open a door to a relationship just because it's hard to ignore. But you need to have some harmonious aspects going on in important areas in order to make anything lasting. But to be blunt, the square aspect can be good for sexual chemistry, if that's all you want. It's a competitive aspect, and sex can take on the feeling of a contest sometimes.

Oops. I didn't read your original post very carefully, vertiver. I realize now you were talking about this person having the sun/moon square natally in their own chart. I have the opposition between sun & moon, and it is hard for me to address my own feelings, like I'm unconfortable with my own emotions. They bug me lol...pesky emotions. Well, I have an Aqua moon too, so that's not surprising I guess. Aqua is a rather rational sign, and it feels awkward in the realm of the emotions, which is what the moon is all about. I find that my feelings about many important things swing back and forth, and I can really never feel SURE SURE SURE about anything. I second guess myself alot.

The thing I've noticed with Scorpio Moons in general is that they always tend to hide or out right ignore their feelings unless they are enlightened (through astrology or plain ol' self reflection).

You can never shock a Scorpio Moon either, that is why I suppose, they make good therapists or what I've heard? Any thoughts about Venus square Mars?
