Thanks a lot.

I was not aware that houses were important in synastry. I always thought it was mainly the moon, mars, venus and Saturn. And the only good thing we have is our moons…...then, his mars and venus squares my venus and his mars is the opposite of mine.

Is this doomed then?

If I am becoming better at reading his chart, his venus and mars in Leo square his saturn and he also has squares between his virgo and saggie planets.

I was wondering if you knew some info on where to find more about how squares affect a person's personality. I mean, he also has trines...but I don't know if this balance things out.

In some sites, I have read bad news of mars-saturn squares but then, other sites show the picture as being more positive. I just want to get a better picture on what are his struggles in terms of relationships a la astrology.

Also, do you know online sites that provide synastry interpretation that include the houses?
The free online synastry site I know only interprets synastry in terms of the planets...but no houses.

go to http://cafeastrology.com/astrology_of_relationships.html

eg u can find house overlays here http://cafeastrology.com/synastry_house_overlays.html

u can also look for other stuff here

and IMO astrology can not tell u if it is a viable or not viable relationship, it just tells you if this relation goes on what would be areas of harmony and what would be areas of challeneges...that is it

I wholeheartedly agree with Emma, astrology won't be able to tell you whether a relationship will work or not. The #1 rule for astrologers is that the stars guide, but they do not rule. After all, there is that little thing called freewill...

"Saturn In Cancer:

Its having a home, white picket fence, a dog or a cat(depending on your preference)These people take tradition and family very seriously and will sacrifice all for the ties that bind."

No way. In fact, that's as far away as you can get (except for the sacrifice part, and in this case it's not to with Saturn at all).

Saturn in Cancer generally doesn't like revealing its vulnerabilities. It takes its own emotions and vulnerability seriously. And it also depends in which house it's in.
Saturn shows what you take 'seriously', and how you do it...and what you might have problems with too.

Hikoro, having Saturn Conjunction Venus with someone is really karmic, that is alot of the basis of the attraction(along with other factors in the synastry). It can hold you together, but it depends if you are ready to learn those lessons within that relationship.

AscTaur; What does it mean if both people have saturn in pisces? Me and mine have everything from mars through pluto the same, but I just thought its cause we're the same age. So wouldn't that be the same for anyone my exact age?

@ gypseewind
yes saturn jupiter and generational planets change signs v slowly
so closer the birth dates of 2 ppl are ..more of these planets will be in similar planets

mars is always three signs + - from sun sign, venus is 2 signs + -, and mercury is one sign + - (eg a leo sun sign can have mars from taurus to scorpio only, cant have capricon mars, similarly, they can have gemini to libra venus only, cant have scorpio venus...and can only have mercury in cancer, leo or virgo, u will not find a saggitarius mercury in a leo).. this again shows that closer yr month of births (and of course in yr case date of birth) are, more planets will fall in same sign
