Wow...I find out this point in my natal is at 27 degr. virgo exact (0 orb) with Pluto on it.

So in astrologic terms: pluto = Sun/Moon

little bit scary ; ))

Maybe that's why I attract all that plutonian people, issues etc.

What's your experience with (almost) exact conjunctions/oppostions related to this Sun/Moon in your natal?

I don't have any planet making any aspects to my Sun/Moon midpoint unless it's a planet that astronomers haven't discovered yet. Who knows how many more planets in our solar system.

Transiting Pluto in my 4th has has been conjuncting my Sun/Moon midpoint in 4'16 Capricorn in 4th. My mother's partner,Robert died of a heart attack on March 30th which happens to be the birthday of my exgf and my shamanic healer. My mother is devastated and blames herself. She has known him since I was a baby, and she lived with him since 1996. My mom is in a wheel chair because of her amputated leg to diabetes complications. He has always been there for her and support her. He was the type of man that I wished that I had as a father figure growing up. One of his problems is that he's too nice, and people have taken advantage of that. He's totally the opposite of my stepfather.

but yeah...transiting Pluto conjunct Sun/Moon midpoint is no joke.

I have Sun in Scorpio in 2nd trine Moon in Pisces in 6th with 2'10 orb natally, and so transiting Pluto forming a minor grand trine with it.

I gave my mom 400 dollars last month to help her out with food and other things.

My natal Mars (20 Sag) is conjunct my Sun/Moon midpoint (21 Sag).

I have yet to figure out what that means.

That's indeed really really sweet of you Raymond..
I felt cold when I read your words & yeah...transiting pluto in this case is/was very heavy!

Scorpio-Sun with moon Pisces (my friend also) ...I think I love them!

My sun/moon midpoint is cancer. I seem to like them a lot despite the fact they annoy me. Im also very into the idea of being a mother someday and yet I take it so seriously that it might not happen for a long time.

Mannequin.

you take the shortest distance from the Sun to the Moon, divide it in half and then add to the suns position or subtract from the moons whichever is ahead of which.. so My sun at 29 degrees Cancer and Moon and 23 degrees Libra. so the distance from my sun to the moon is 84 degrees divided by two is 42 degrees add it to my sun moving ahead in the zodiac. 29 degrees Cancer plus 42 degrees arrives at 11 degrees of Virgo my sun/moon midpoint.. hope this helped.

you can also add the Sun and Moon and divide by 2 to get the Sun/Moon midpoint

Check out this page on Cafe astrology with a list of meanings for different planets in hard aspect to natal midpoints.
http://www.cafeastrology.com/astrologytopics/midpointpictures.html

Some of the meanings are kind of scary though, and very negative. Everything associated with Neptune is horrible, all about deception and illusion and DISEASE. Neptune doesn't seem to be very well liked in Astrology.

This man I know has
sun/moon midpoint tightly conjunct his neptune so I looked this up and the meaning for this says:

"SO/MO=NE Days of uncertainty. Cooling off in partnerships, friendships or marriage because of deceptive situation, misunderstandings or lies. The denial of a partnership or a marriage. To ultimately separate."

He also has his Venus/Mars midpoint conjunct Neptune and the meaning says:

"VE/MA=NE The end of intimate relations or the relation to relatives. Sexual intercourse connected with infection. Denial of sexual intercourse."

SO SCARY!!! I'm freaked out now!

that's because it's not Mainstream Tropical Zodiac Astrology.

It's Hamburg School/Uranian Astrology

It doesn't use zodiac signs nor the houses that we use.

It focuses on only hard aspects (conjunction, opposition, square, semisquare, sesquiquadrate as well as other 22.5 divisions of aspects)

It also uses hypothetical transneptunians that include Cupido,Kronos,Poseidon,Zeus,Admetos,Vulkanus,Apollon, and Hades

The Cosmobiology bible Combination Of Stellar Influences (COSI) has interpretations are just as negative for Saturn and Neptune. Cosmobiology is an offshoot of Uranian Astrology. The only difference is that it doesn't use planetary pictures nor do they use the hypothetical transneptunians. They don't use any houses whatsoever. Uranian Astrology has special house systems.

I prefer Cosmobiology when it comes to medical astrology. configurations involving Saturn and Neptune do seem to indicate significant health problems......especially if there is a Saturn-Neptune combo which indicates potential for chronic illnesses.
I can strongly relate with my own strong Saturn-Neptune combos including Moon square Saturn-Neptune opposition (Moon oppose Saturn/Neptune midpoint) and Saturn contraparallel Mercury-Venus-Neptune.

Uranian Astrologer,Ruth Brummond came out with the Rulebook that has psychological, event, and medical interpretations. They include both positive and negative. She modernizes Uranian Astrology.

the interpretations that you're talking about were written before the mid 1900's. Those were "black and white" times both literally and figuratively

Thank you Glaucus! Your explanation makes me feel a whole lot better. When I read things about midpoints with Neptune being about sexual disease, deception, ending of relationships, and everything so negative, it's very disconcerting.

I wonder why Saturn and Neptune get such a bad rap back in the old days. Thanks for bringing us up to date!

Hmmmmmm My Sun-Moon midpoint is at 4 Gemini which is opposite my Jupiter (6 Sag)/neptune (2 Sag) in Sag. So my Jupiter/Neptune midpoint is 4 Sag. Squarinf that by a 2 degree orb is my venus in pisces.

Now I haven't played around much with midpoints so I have no clue as to what that means.

I have no planets conjunct my Sun/Moon midpoint (21 deg 42' aqu), but Mars (21 deg 57' gem) is trine '15 separating. By declinations, my moon is conjunct the midpoint less than 1 deg. the moon is already in aqu (5 deg 43'), and the sun is trine by declination (22 deg 19' lib). plus, uranus is in aqu by declination and parallel the moon. I am using cell, so caps are not right!

My sun/moon has mars exactly on it. I always identify myself as more Aries than cancer. My mum has moon in Aries.

I am a lazy person I don't get how it's meant to work lol

Also Ferdi has: Venus=sun/moon
I have. Mars=sun/moon

Both our sun/moon midpoints are square each other.

My sun/moon is his Venus/mars as well.
