I'm a little perplexed about if I can avoid any negative side of this transit by bringing out the good energy of the transit or whether Chiron transits usually bring havoc anyway regardless of what you do. Will I get "wounded" no matter what I do, or has it come around to do some healing work? Esp. since this is my 6th house we're talking about. I'm in the same boot with Neptune as well (afraid I may get hit with strange health issues). I may get a break since Neptune is my solar ruler but with Chiron I'm not so sure.

You’re interested in “avoiding the negative side of this transit.” Well, with a positive mental outlook, I believe you can
Chiron isn’t all/always about wounds and pain. Chiron is about working thru challenges and obstacles, and HEALING your wounds. We all have wounds. Some of us bury them, ignore/avoid them due to fear of more pain, and lose the lesson. I believe Chiron comes around to help us examine those wounds in the light of day. A wound never heals if it’s stitched up and a scar forms, but the poison from the wound still lies beneath the scar.
If we didn’t have any challenges, obstacles and pain in life, there would be no emotional growth. I think Chiron transiting your 6th is a fabulous opportunity!! And Chiron sq Mars is definitely not one of the “worst” Chiron transits you could endure
I don’t consider Chiron a malefic asteroid, appearing in your chart to **CAUSE** you pain. I believe its passage and connections (to the other bodes in your chart) can evoke the ultimate in compassion and forgiveness, and CURE the wounds from the past.

Thanks for your reply! I'd love for you to put the links up. I'm new here and I don't know yet how to search for threads (can I?). So that would be a great help!

I'm hoping that Chiron will be a great help because I have recently been through a crisis that really took a toll on my psychological/emotional health and in turn on my body (because I wasn't taking care of myself). I'm now coming out of that depression but it took a long time (over a year). Half way through the year I realized that I had repressed everything and that I wasn't living, I was just numb and in total denial and had to go through a long painful recovery. I'm a pretty tough person and tried to do so much and keep everything together while recovering, which ended up being impossible. I felt like I was kicking and sputtering and splashing on the way down. Or up...

Anyway it seems that is the way Chiron and Neptune exited my 5th house. So I'm hoping that this will be a healing time not another health crisis. I still have a long way to go emotionally. Plus I had a scare last year when I found some (benign so far) lumps in my breasts. I hope that Neptune will only bring phantom illnesses not real ones!!

I guess I am questioning this Chiron transit because I've had a major Chiron experience before. I got all A's in 7th and 8th grade and got invited into an amazing Math and Science center. Most kids who graduated from there went to Ivy League schools or really good honors programs in other schools. I started there and was doing well until I started getting these horrible migraines and had to drop out. They would start with a clouded feeling then flashing lights then the horrible pounding until I threw up and had to stay in a dark room for hours. Makes me sick to think about it!

Thing is my mom got them too (and still does) but my parents were too strict and my mom too busy/self involved to really help me out a lot and they are from another culture where kids aren't coddled as much. So I didn't ever get on prescription but not like it would have helped much. I did horribly and long story short my problems with my parents and my first year grades were a big wound that didn't lead me to Ivy League...(in fact I ended up taking 5 years from school though now I'm back and getting a good deal and tons of scholarships).

Well my first year in college (before I took time off) I went all organic and natural and removed ALL toxins from my life and the migraines disappeared. No manmade toxic chemicals whatsoever (or any natural toxic substances). I now hardly buy anything from the store. I started out buying from health food stores but now I get everything from organic farms: meat, raw milk, veggies, fruits, etc. I make my own butter, buttermilk and sometimes cheese. I make my own beauty supplies from fruit juices, essential and carrier oils and clays, etc. and they are AMAZING. The only thing I buy premade is this amazing organic bathing soap and natural dish soap (Ecover). So I think I got that Chiron gift down.

Re: searching for threads ~ google is not always reliable, and sometimes the only way left is browsing the topics header pages. I use IE with the Edit/Find Text on This Page function and enter my keyword in the Search and go page by page. That way I don’t have to read all the topics’ names, like “What Astrological Placements Indicate a Huge Penis” (the heights of inanity/immaturity imho )

I hope that your cancer scare will never amount to anything. I’ve been reading about Vitamin D recently and it seems it may help stave off cancer. It sounds like you have a very good diet and hygiene regimen already
I’ve been reading that cancers (and viruses) cannot survive in an alkaline pH, so I’ve been testing several things myself lately – organic apple cider vinegar daily, and calcium bentonite clay. I drink kombucha when I can (I should really buy the starter mushroom and try my hand at home brewing).

It’s so sad the way your parents felt – that healing their child from medical conditions (migraines) was too much trouble, or “coddling”

Anywho...I don't really know how to post charts or pictures. How do you do this?

I'm not very scared about the cancer thing but it did freak my Virgo side out for a while. Turns out that my Mom has small benign lumps (in the same breast too). Doctors have said that its nothing and I think its a phantom Neptune in 6th thing. I think that if I plan to set a health foundation and keep it going through my daily life no matter what that I can beat anything if something comes up.

I really think that it is the bad diet, pollution and toxic products in this country that is the root of all of these diseases. It's too much for the body to be assaulted from every side: food, cleaning products, "health" and "beauty" products, pollution in air and water, stress...

I'm also foreign and most of my native meals are lowfat and have a lot of beneficial herbs, roots, greens and fish and this thing called red palm oil. Maybe you've heared of it, its really good for you-and for fighting cancer too.

Yeah my parents were too occupied and they have been through a lot. I am a firstborn and they weren't really good with a lot of things. They are spacey and self involved...

Well I wasn't really "recovering". Last May around this time I had a kind of breakdown (after months of living under stress and pressure from a situation). But I had to move and I started summer classes and I was in a new environment and thought I would snap out of it. I never really did...I just got more numb and then fall classes started and that was when I was suppose to take time of to heal (because I had scheduled all my courses online).

Well all that happened was that I got more isolated and depressed. Saturn was on my Asc then and Uranus on my Dsc and I became TRAPPED mentally. I wanted to be away from people and usually solitude would work but this wound was really big and in Nov. I realized I was in denial. I sunk really low and had to get some help in Dec. THEN that's when I started tackling "the problem"-which had grown into many problems by that time. I started regular counseling in January.

So yeah I guess I wasn't really "recovering", I was just on my way there. I didn't my problem that seriously. I've always been able to heal myself but this time was different. It ended up that I could do ANYTHING! I had to cut everything off and focus on my inner issues.
